A symmetric cross-ply laminated plate consisting of four layers of a fiber-reinforced composite material is subjected to a time varying line load on its upper surface. The response at points remote from the application of the line load on both upper and lower surfaces of the plate is determined. Two different pulses are considered, namely a square pulse and a half-sine pulse. The significant parameter governing the nature of the response is the duration of the pulse.

In order to reduce or avoid the damage of the composite parts in the service process and failure, This study applied db5 wavelet processing and multi-scale(5 layers) analysis to the denoised signals from carbon fibre reinforced composite material. Through repeated verificationput, put forward a fast and accurate method for estimating damaging degree. the advantage of this method is preventing component failure, and this method is proved effective.

In this paper, we extend our previous 2D connected-tube marked point process (MPP) model to a 3D connected-tube MPP model for fiber detection. In the 3D case, a tube is represented by a cylinder model with two spherical areas at its ends. The spherical area is used to define connection priors that encourage connection of tubes that belong to the same fiber. Since each long fiber can be fitted by a series of connected short tubes, the proposed model is capable of detecting curved long tubes. We present experimental results on fiber-reinforced composite material images to show the performance of our method.

In this study, the effect of adding nanosize additive to glass fiber reinforced composite plates on mechanical properties and surface milling was investigated. In the light of the investigations, with the addition of MWCNTs additive in the composite production, the strength of the material has been changed and the more durable composite materials have been obtained. Slots were opened with different cutting speed and feed rate parameters to the composite layers. Surface roughness of the composite layers and slot size were examined and also abrasions of cutting tools used in cutting process were determined. It was observed that the addition of nanoparticles to the laminated glass fiber composite materials played an effective role in the strength of the material and caused cutting tool wear.
