Background. It is undeniable that human capital is a highly valued resource in today’s increasingly competitive and interconnected world. Management education involving decision-making is a fundamental issue in today’s education systems. Particularly, the marketing audit improves the decision-making process based on the assessment of the marketing performance and the analysis of the market results. Although marketing audits are not widely used among organizations yet, marketing control mechanisms have become more important in organizational performance studies and must be integrated into marketing and finance education programs. Method. This quasi-experimental study followed a pretest/posttest design to measure differences in the scores 281 marketing and finance students in Colombia taking part in a game of marketing audit. Results and conclusion. All students significantly improved their higher grades after taking part in the game. Marketing and finance students also improved their responses. For the students in the final semester and for the male and mixed groups, there is insufficient evidence to suggest that the game can improve their cognitive results. Decisions between marketing and finance professionals must be reinforced, to allow academic organizations involved in developing markets and characterized by low levels of competitiveness improve their education levels.

The objective of this study was to describe associations between several species of seabirds and dusky dolphins. We investigated during what dolphin activities seabirds were most commonly associated, and the size of flock in relation to the number of dolphins in a group. Since both seabirds and dolphins may display different feeding strategies, we also investigated if benefits differed among seabird species. Data were collected in Golfo Nuevo (42°20′S65°00′W) on-board a research vessel between 2001 and 2008. A total of 224 mixed groups of seabirds were encountered during this study. The seabird–dolphin associations were mainly observed during dusky dolphin surface feeding. Shearwaters and kelp gulls were mainly observed in flocks that were associated with dolphins, while Magellanic penguins and cormorants were mainly observed without dolphins. Seabirds may be conditioned to the foraging strategy of dolphins, since birds are associated with dolphins only during dolphin surface feeding. This association probably helped seabirds to find prey, but there were no obvious benefits to dolphins.

The modern sociocultural environment puts forward requirements for ensuring equal opportunities for vocational education for active members of the society. The established requirements for the organization of the educational process in mixed groups, including normo-typical students and students with disabilities, indicate the need to search for new methodological approaches to ensure the successful implementation of vocational education. The article highlights the problem of choosing didactic components of practice-oriented content for teaching students with disabilities. The aim of the work was to identify the principles of new didactics, which make it possible to adapt the structure of basic design education to the special educational needs of students and to optimally organize educational activities in a mixed group without losing the quality of professional development and an increase in general competencies. The article provides some of the fundamental meanings of design practice, which make it possible to find permits for the introduction of inclusive methods in the system of special-purpose training programs. The approaches to the formulation of combined tasks are disclosed that allow the variability of equivalent design solutions of different levels of complexity. New approaches to the choice of methodological and didactic techniques were determined in the course of a pedagogical experiment, using elements of a longitudinal study. The author gives examples from the experience of training students in secondary vocational education in mixed groups, points out aspects that have a particular impact on the achievement of equal positive results by students, names the methods of formulating practical tasks that minimize the difference in time spent by students with different abilities. The conclusion about a sufficient basis for the chosen direction of methodological and didactic support was made on the basis of signs of positive dynamics of mastering the techniques of project design activity by students with disabilities.

Ascorbic acid (AA) has been reported for the management of diarrhea. The anti-diarrheal potential and modulatory activities of AA on some commonly used anti-diarrheal drugs were investigated. For this purpose, the activities of AA on castor oil-induced diarrhea in Swiss mice were examined. As standard anti-diarrheal agents, we used prazosin, propranolol, loperamide, and nifedipine with or without AA. The results revealed that AA at 25 mg/kg (i.p.) and all other standard drugs exhibited significant (p < 0.05) diarrheal attenuating activities in mice. However, the impact was more pronounced in the loperamide and propranolol groups. AA administrated with prazosin and propranolol had a higher rate of latent periods and a lower rate of diarrheic secretion during the study period (4 h) than that of the other single or mixed groups. Furthermore, a molecular docking study illustrated that AA displayed good binding affinities with (α1) (–5.2 Kcal/mol), α2b (–5.4 Kcal/mol), α2c (-5.6 Kcal/mol), β1(–5.3 Kcal/mol) and β2(–6.4 Kcal/mol) adrenoceptors. Of note, AA exerted a significant anti-diarrheal effect and it was seen to modulate the anti-diarrheal effects of α- and β-adrenergic receptor blocking agents in Swiss mice.

En este artículo se analizan y describen las creencias indígenas originarias de la frontera norte, así como algunas creencias mestizas de tipo popular. Se hace hincapié en las creencias vinculadas con nuevas formas de identidad indígena y mestiza que se mueven en el terreno de la ficción. La identificación “neoindia” no es construida por los grupos indígenas, sino por mestizos que sin una identidad anclada en la memoria tradicional suelen adherirse a una identidad ancestral generada en múltiples religiones del escenario fronterizo o del imaginario mítico de la mesoamérica mexica. La Frontera Norte, como lugar donde las referencias culturales se pierden y transforman rápidamente, tanto la cultura indígena como la mestiza, se han convertido en un terreno fértil para la invención del “otro” mediante la transformación constante de sus prácticas religiosas.Abstract: This article analyzes and describes the native beliefs of the North Border, as well as some popular racial mixed beliefs. Emphasizing in the ones linked with new forms of racial mixed and native identity in the fiction area. The identification of “neoindia” is not built for native but for racially mixed groups that, without an identity anchored in the traditional memory, are used to adhere to an ancient identity generated from multiple religions of the border or of the mythical imaginary of Mexica Mesoamerica. The North Border, a place where cultural references are lost and quickly transformed, both native and racially mixed cultures have become a fertile land for the invention of the “Other” through the constant transformation of its religious practices.Résumé : Dans cet article, on analyse et on décrit les croyances indiennes de la Frontière Nord du Mexique, ainsi que quelques croyances métissées de type populaire. On s’intéresse en particulier aux croyances en relation avec de nouvelles formes d’identité indiennes et métisses qui se déploient sur le terrain de la fiction. L’identification “néo-indienne” n’est pas construite par les groupes indiens, mais par les métis dont l’identité n’est pas ancrée dans la mémoire traditionnelle et qui se réfèrent souvent à une identité ancestrale, générée dans de multiples religions du cadre frontalier ou de l’imaginaire mythique de la Mésoamérique mexicaine. À la Frontière Nord, en tant que lieu où les références culturelles se perdent et se transforment rapidement, les cultures indiennes et métisses se sont converties en un terrain fertile pour l’invention de l’« Autre » par l’entremise de la constante transformation des pratiques religieuses.
