This chapter examines the Christologies found not only among scholastic theologians but also in hagiography, vision books, didactic letters, poems, and spiritual guidebooks. At the forefront are male and female authors within the Western Christian tradition who claim that human beings might be so fully united with Christ as to be an alter Christus or, alternatively, who are claimed by others to have attained that state. The chapter begins with more recognizable Christological arguments before exploring how certain medieval texts and communities, through their claims about the possibility of being conformed to Christ, make theological arguments about Christ that stand in tension with his purported singularity.

The study endeavors to highlight the contribution of women in the field of Political research globally. The study is based on the data gathered from journal, Political Analysis which comprises a list of articles published by authors for the period, 2004-2014. The proportion of the male and female authors listed in the publication was ascertained. There exists a colossal difference among male and female researchers in the field of Political Science research, which is evident from the fact that 88.30% of publications are being contributed by male authors while as just 11.70 % of publications are contributed by female authors. Furthermore, citation analysis reveals that highest number of citations is for the male contributions. In addition, the collaborative pattern indicates that largest share of the collaboration is between male-male authors. This evidently signifies that female researchers are still lagging behind in the field of Political Science research in terms of research productivity (publications)and thus, accordingly, need to excel in that particular field to overcome the gender difference. The study highlights status of women contribution in the Journal of Political Analysis from the period 2004-2014. The study provides a wider perspective of female research-contribution based on select parameters. However, the study can be further be enriched by taking into consideration various other criteria like what obstacles are faced by female researchers impeding their research, what are the effects of age and marital status on the research-productivity of female authors, etc.

ABSTRACTGender diversity is good for the study of international relations (IR) and political science. Graduate training is an opportunity for scholars to affect the demographics of their field and the gendered practices within it. This article presents a first-cut investigation of the degree to which gender bias exists in graduate IR syllabi. The author found that the gender of the instructor for graduate courses matters significantly for what type of research is taught, in two ways. First, on average, female instructors assign significantly more research by female authors than male instructors. Second, women appear to be considerably more reluctant than men about assigning their own research as required readings. Some but not all of the difference between male- and female-taught courses might be explained by differences in course composition.

The question of alienation has always been a pervasive theme in the history of modern thought, and it occupies a considerable place in contemporary work. Literature in general, and fiction in particular, raise this issue to reveal its influence on human beings and communities. Novelists have been trying to unravel its complexities and concomitant consequences. The paper aims to explore the experience of alienation through depicting the issue not as a purely racial reality, or something restricted to the colour of the skin or gender of the victim. It is rather presented as a distressing state which cripples the victims and makes them susceptible captives of the dominant forces. In the selected novels, Toni Morrison has delved deep into the experience of alienation through her male and female characters, showing the different forms of this experience. The present research investigates Morrison’s portrayal of the issue from an African-American prospect. References will be made to novels such as Tar Baby, Sula, The Bluest Eye, Song of Solomon, and Beloved.

Much theological discussion of ecology has focussed on responding to criticism such as that of Lynn White, but there are aspects of Christian tradition that need more attention: the loss of a sense of symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature, and the belief that human beings can effectively and harmlessly manipulate nature to their own ends. The viewpoint of White and many other ecological thinkers that our behaviour derives from our world-views and religiosity has set substantial portions of the environmental movement in search of a new world-view and a new religiosity. If, however, our world-views and religiosity derive, even in part, from our social structures and therefore ultimately from our behaviour, then we must also focus on changing these. The question of science then is not only whether it is sufficiently holistic but also whether it can contribute to determining appropriate behaviours and social structures. Dialogue between science and religion has already come a long way in terms of developing new world-views. It is necessary now that they work together to guide and motivate the real decisionmaking processes in politics, economics, and so forth.

Human beings are created by God into two big clustersnamely male and female. Based on striking differences between the two types of creatures has implications for many things, including language..The grouping of nouns by type is a fairly unique phenomenon. The phenomenon is found almost in most languages of the world, not only in the Smith-Hmit family, but in Indo-European languages with varying quality and quantity. In Arabic, the example of this linguistic phenomenon is very powerful and is one of the characteristics of the Arabic language. The most popular theory of word grouping into muzakkar (male) and muannats (females) is a theory that sees a connection and relationship between the word(lafaz) and the meaning (Makna). In the historical perspective of ancient society, it is also associated with the myths of public belief based on the nature of the world in general consists of muzakkar and muannats. These theory - in another perspective - especially the ancient society has the power of argument and reason, but in the perspective of modern society has a deadlock of argument and loses its relevance. The issue not only ends in the classification aspect, but it is more difficult to make perfect rules that can be followed to identify the types of muzakkar and muannats. The rules of muzakkar and muannats in the reference books of nahwu are not separated from a large number of exceptions. Therefore, the conclusion of the muzakkar and muannats theories in Arabic refers to the tradition of Arabic usage of a particular word, and empowering a complete encyclopedia of muzakkar and muannats rather than creating many rules that are unable to accommodate a general distinction between the two type of the word.

In present scenario of pollution and UV radiation, it is our urgent requirement to determine the baseline levels of mineral constituents in human beings. It causes major health problems in general population. This paper deals with quantitative determination of minerals in human hair. Biological samples were collected for environmental quality investigation randomly from male and female subjects of selected group aged from 5 year to 60 year of different social status. Sample collection and preparation were carried out using standard procedures. Levels of minerals (calcium, magnesium and phosphorus) were estimated using analytical methods. The levels of all the minerals studied and mean concentration of female hair were significantly higher. Significant levels of minerals in human hair samples indicate the type of exposure of male and female subjects

Nygren’s book Eros och Agape was first published in Sweden in 1930/36. It was then published in English translation in 1953 under the title Agape and Eros. The author’s idea was to describe the development of the Christian concept of love through the centuries. Nygren argued that eros is the term for Platonic, self-centred love that strives for union with the divine realities, while agape, denoting the Christian concept of love, is the free, divine movement towards human beings. Agape is unselfish and is not motivated by any value in the recipient. This distinction drawn by Nygren has been so influential that it has been taken for granted in a lot of Christian contexts worldwide, even if one does not associate it with the name Nygren. In this paper his methodology and the distinction he draws are criticised. He finds in eros and agape two so-called “fundamental motifs” that, as he sees it, unfortunately merge in Christian tradition and thereby obscure the original Christian understanding of love that emerges in its purest form in St Paul and later in Luther. There are a lot of problems in Nygren’s book. He argues, for instance, that Christianity emerges from Judaism as a completely new religion, and separates the Old and the New Testament as if they had nothing in common. Agape as the divine gift to human beings excludes all human activity since God has freely and graciously chosen human persons as his slaves. In the present paper it is argued that Nygren’s methodology is unsound and that his conclusions are not even in agreement with the New Testament.

Humans are the most perfect creatures of God. In running life, human beings are often faced with the reality of life that is not ideal. Some people do negative activities and bad things that are not in accordance with the potential good they have. This paper offers human concepts in the view of Islamic education philosophy, namely: Al-basyar, Al-insan and Al-naas. The concept of Al-Basyar tends to the human concept which can be understood that humans are creatures that have all the characteristics of humanity that are limited, such as eating, drinking, security, happiness, and so forth. The concept of Al-insan understands that humans basically have a positive potential to grow and develop both physically and mentally. The concept of Al-Naas is related to the function of humans as social beings. Humans were created as social creatures that began as a male and female partner and then developed into a tribe and nation to get to know each other "interact".

Sisters of Querelle.
