Building VoIP technology requires a server called Elastix. Singleboard circuit device can be an alternative to cover the shortcomings of a PC as a VoIP server, to support practicum activities. The specifications for the quad-core processor and 1GB LPDDR2 memory are expected to be able to provide access to the latest version of the operating system to be able to produce better communication quality as I PPBX. This study designed a VoIP IP PBX server communication system at the Polinema Telecommunication Laboratory using the Elastix Linux operating system, to determine the quality of VoIP communication services and the performance of a single board circuit as an IPPBX server. The results of the research are 64 kbps bandwidth capacity capable of serving a customer capacity of 181 subscribers through 8 number of channels. QoS measurement obtained a delay value of 4.87091 ms; jitter of 18,265ms; packet loss of 0.71%; throughput of 0.2747 Mbit / sec. The singleboard circuit server is capable of serving VoIP communications for as many as 20 users and 10 calls simultaneously on the same server with a cpu usage percentage of 17.7% and 17.2% cpu usage, when communicating with other servers.

In an m-commerce setting, the underlying communication system will have to provide a quality of service (QoS) in the presence of two competing factors—network bandwidth and, as the pressure to add value to the business-to-consumer (B2C) shopping experience by integrating multimedia applications grows, increasing data sizes. In this chapter, developments in the area of QoS-dependent multimedia perceptual quality are reviewed and are integrated with recent work focusing on QoS for e-commerce. Based on previously identified user perceptual tolerance to varying multimedia QoS, we show that enhancing the m-commerce B2C user experience with multimedia, far from being an idealised scenario, is in fact feasible if perceptual considerations are employed.

Adaptation of communication is needed to maintain the connectivity and quality of communication in group-wide collaborative activities. This becomes quite a challenge to handle when mobile entities are part of a wireless environment, in which responsiveness and availability of the communication system are required. In this chapter, these challenges are addressed within the context of the ROSACE project where mobile ground and flying robots have to collaborate either between them selves or with remote artificial and human actors during save and rescue missions in the event of disasters such as forest fires. This chapter presents our first results. The final goal is to propose new concepts, models and architectures that supports cooperative adaptation which is aware of the mission being executed. Thus, the communication system can be adequately adapted in response to predictable or unpredictable evolutions of the activity requirements and to the unpredictable changes in the communication resource constraints.

The virtual network communication system and its construction method is researched, the service quality of the virtual network communication is improved. In view of the virtual network communication problems, the construction method of virtual network communication system is proposed based on UDP protocol. The communication system, it needs to build the UDP protocol. The protocol is taken as the virtual network communication platform, and the data transmission of virtual network communication is completed. Simulation results show that the improved algorithm is applied in the virtual network communication, the virtual network communication system is constructed, and the error rate can be effectively reduced, the efficiency of communication is improved, and it can meet the actual needs of users.
