While creative ideas can lead to market success and payoff, they are also associated with high risks and uncertainties. One way to reduce these uncertainties is to provide decision makers with valuable information about the innovative potential and future success of an idea. Even though several metrics have been proposed in the literature to evaluate the creativity of early design-stage ideas, these metrics do not provide information about the future product success or market favorability of new product ideas. Hence, existing metrics fail to link the creativity of early-stage ideas to their future market favorability. In order to bridge this gap, the current work proposes a new metric to estimate early design-stage ideas’ favorability and analyzes its relationship with current creativity metrics. A data-mining driven method to assess the future favorability of new product ideas using customers’ reviews of current market products that shared similar features with the new ideas of interest is presented. The results suggest that the new product idea favorability is positively correlated with relative creativity metrics and existing product market favorability ratings. This method can be used to help designers gain a better insight into the creativity and market favorability potential of new product ideas in early design-stages via a systematic approach; hence, helping reduce the risks and uncertainties associated with early-phase ideas during the screening and selecting process.

In carrying out business activities, every company, whether engaged in services or goods, has the same goal, namely to make a profit. To achieve this goal, the company must implement one of them is to analyze the market and marketing aspects. This is important because the way of marketing is one of the main considerations of consumers in choosing a product. Market and marketing aspects are analyzing market potential, intensity of competition, market share that can be achieved, and analyzing marketing strategies that can be used to achieve the expected market share. Aspects of market and marketing determine the life and death of a company. If the market aspect is not researched properly, what are the prospects for the future, it is not impossible that the company's goals will never be achieved.

Abstract This chapter presents a tourism industry perspective about key aspects of market thinking and provides tips and strategies for building a strategic marketing plan for a creative tourism initiative. The visitor profile is examined, not so much as demographic or psychographic (i.e. not what they are, which is explored earlier in this book), but to provide a collection of tools to pinpoint where they are. Market segmentation, the product/market match, and product evolution and lifecycle are then explored. Building on this, four strategies to build business opportunities through partnerships and networks are outlined. Next, key elements of the structure and requirements of the major marketing elements of the tourism industry are discussed, including the issue of market readiness and pricing structures. Bringing these elements together, the chapter closes with guidance about market planning.

The purpose of the present study is to analyze the website-declared vision and mission statements of 149 five-star hotels in the largest cities of Turkey, Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, based on certain criteria. The outcomes of the research indicated that only 24% of the hotels had a mission statement and 21% had a vision statement. Hotels with the least number of statements were those in Istanbul (17%). It was determined that hotels provided highly limited information on the product/market area component in their mission statements (19%). Moreover, it was determined that although hotels fully reflected their basic ideology in vision statements, almost half of them (48%) failed to place an emphasis on the future in their statements.

Second-epoch photographs have now been obtained for nearly 850 of the 1246 fields of the proper motion program with centers at declination -20° and northwards. For the sky at 0° and northward only 130 fields remain to be taken in the next year or two. The 270 southern fields with centers at -5° to -20° remain for the future.

Metaphase chromosomes from human and mouse cells in vitro are isolated by micrurgy, fixed, and placed on grids for electron microscopy. Interpretations of electron micrographs by current methods indicate the following structural features.Chromosomal spindle fibrils about 200Å thick form fascicles about 600Å thick, wrapped by dense spiraling fibrils (DSF) less than 100Å thick as they near the kinomere. Such a fascicle joins the future daughter kinomere of each metaphase chromatid with those of adjacent non-homologous chromatids to either side. Thus, four fascicles (SF, 1-4) attach to each metaphase kinomere (K). It is thought that fascicles extend from the kinomere poleward, fray out to let chromosomal fibrils act as traction fibrils against polar fibrils, then regroup to join the adjacent kinomere.
