This study examines the use of financial well-being indicators such as credit scores to identify gentrification. This study is a response to the redevelopment of neighbourhoods in the City of Toronto through gentrification. This study also explores both theoretical and analytical frameworks outlined in literature to identify correlations between financial wellbeing indicators and gentrification. Comparing the observations in this study to areas experience gentrification such as Regent Park revealed large implications that gentrification is largely associated with financial wellbeing. The study also found that the average credit scores in the City of Toronto seem to be increasing. The analysis determined that the credit score changes reflected the development in the Regent Park development zone. Key words: Gentrification, credit scores, spatial analysis, urban development

Abstract Lecturers in their daily activities have three obligations, known as “three pillars of higher education.” Insufficient monitoring of lecturers' performance in their mandatory activities may cause difficulty for university leaders to obtain regular reports from lecturers. We built a system on a web-based basis with the waterfall method, contained an input page for the performance of lecturers in their mandatory activity, which will generate performance reports, including the working hours every week. Some Persons are required to monitor the activities of each lecturer in every semester. We started to trace the reference for the credit score guideline from the ministry of education and culture, then we conduct interviews with Human Resources Department for monitoring system design. The systems created using the waterfall framework and system modeling using the unified modeling language (UML). Before implementation, we were conducting testing by sharing the user guide and giving the involved entities the opportunity to learn it. Testing is more emphasized on aspects of mastery of the use of the system. The outcome of this work is a system that can record the performance of all lecturers digitally, and lecturer performance information can be accessed by the university as a materiall for further assessments. Keywords: performance, monitoring, system, three pillars of higher education, lecturer.

Blockchain technology could be extended to benefit human resource (HR) practices. With the lack of definitions and best practices in the literature on the applicability of blockchain in HR, there is a need to define the terms related to blockchain technology and its possible applications in HR. In addition, it is also important to address the downside and dark side of adopting blockchain in HR practices. This chapter aims to review the developing literature on blockchain technology, relate concepts to HR practices, present a model for applying blockchain technology in transforming HR practices, and explain the limitations and disadvantages of using blockchain technology in HR management. The chapter also contains two cases that illustrate the applicability issues of blockchain technology based upon the USA's credit score systems and Turkey's e-government application.
