At least 20 cable-stayed bridges have been built over the last 30 years that cannot be classified under existing typologies for cable-stayed bridges. These structures represent two new types of cable-stayed bridges that we herein define as "under-deck cable-stayed bridges" and "combined cable-stayed bridges." The evolution of these new bridge types is explored through consideration of the different proposals and structures that have been built throughout this period, pointing out the innovations made in each of them. In this paper we propose a new classification system for bridges prestressed by means of tendons into which these two new bridge types will fit. Studies that have been made of these structural types are also highlighted. On the basis of the aforementioned, we describe the state-of-the-art for these structural types, compiling and cataloguing information, documents, and knowledge that were previously highly dispersed. Lastly, we make a critical analysis of the current situation and draw some key conclusions.Key words: under-deck cable-staying, combined cable-staying, cable-stayed bridges, extradosed prestressing, intradosed prestressing, prestressing.

International audience This paper presents a state of the art and an analysis of existing works dedicated to persuasive technologies for energy consumption. Thanks to a systematic analysis, a set of concepts of persuasion has been identified and organized into a six dimensional design space. In particular, the concept of persuasion function is identified and defined. Six persuasion functions are identified: Mirror, Explain, Recommend, What-if, What-for, Suggest-and-Adjust. This design space is used to characterize the works considered in this state of the art.

This review article addresses tensions, critiques and trends that are still latent in mainstream research on English textbooks that have looked at their intercultural aspects, which need to be explored from the perspective of critical interculturality to resist the instrumental, regulatory, homogenizing and commercial nature of textbooks developed by foreign and local publishing houses. The manuscript firstly elaborates on the textbook as an object of research; secondly, it discusses critical analysis of the content of textbooks; and thirdly, the text concludes by pondering critical interculturality, as a decolonial alternative, to make possible the construction of criteria of being, knowledge and power to orient the development of the English textbook, and move away from a de-contextualised textbook toward a desirable contextualised one. This article encompasses the state of the art supporting an ongoing research study on the English textbook from the perspective of critical interculturality that is being conducted within the doctoral programme1 in Education at Universidad Pedagógica and Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC), conducted during 2014-2018, and supported by Universidad Externado de Colombia, Bogotá.             Key words: English textbook, critical analysis, interculturality, critical interculturality 1 Decolonising the English Textbook: A Venture from Critical Interculturality

The state-of-the-art in wave modelling is reviewed, with particular attention on the problems arising by its application in the regional seas. After giving a compact description of a spectral wave model, the different scales of application are discussed, highlighting the practical implications. The most relevant uses are described, with a critical analysis of the physical and numerical parts of a model. Then the relevance of the accuracy of the input wind fields is considered, stressing its importance for the accuracy of the derived wave results. The problems connected to wave forecasting are considered. The conclusions indicate expectations for further developments in the near future.

Various authors have emphasized the spatial information resident in an electron micrograph taken with adequately coherent radiation. In view of the completion of at least one such instrument, this opportunity is taken to summarize the state of the art of processing such micrographs. We use the usual symbols for the aberration coefficients, and supplement these with £ and 6 for the transverse coherence length and the fractional energy spread respectively. He also assume a weak, biologically interesting sample, with principal interest lying in the molecular skeleton remaining after obvious hydrogen loss and other radiation damage has occurred.
