Variables consisted of direct evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy. Phase of the QFD were (1) poll (Voice of Customer), (2) analysis with QFD, (3)the preparation of Quality Houses. Respondents were customers on Kanindo Shari’ah, namely 40customers who were collected by using accidental sampling. The results showed that the improvementin the quality of services performed by observing attributes of interest to the customer. Then, thecustomer satisfaction performance attributes were the most satisfying hospitality and good communication.Competitive satisfaction performance attributes satisfied customer was adequate infrastructure.Goal was the most preferred attribute settle by Kanindo Shari’ah. The highest value on ImprovementRatio was the speed, precision and accuracy of serving customers. Sales point showed a stronglevel of sales. Finally, the analysis of the results obtained planning quality improvement services inthe form of House Of Quality (HOQ)Keywords: Quality function deployment, direct evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, house of quality

This study was conducted to analyze the quality of e-commerce websites, find out which items need improvement, and make improvement design e-commerce websites. This study uses the kano model and Importance Performance Analysis approach based on 7 dimensions with 39 attributes. This study used the survey results from 103 respondents who regularly use the e-commerce website Tokopedia.com. The results of the questionnaire through the validity and reliability tests were used to analyze the reliability of items and the feasibility of the results of the questionnaire. After that, the results of the questionnaire through the corellation and hypothesis tests were used to know the relationship between variables. The findings show that 7 attributes influence customer satisfaction. However, the findings are still nowhere near the expectations. Thus, it requires being the focus of improvement. Improvements in design of 7 attributes in the form of House of Quality with 6 technical features needed to improve the quality of e-commerce website Tokopedia.com. Therefore, effective management strategies can be applied to overcome the intense competition in the e-commerce industry.

Continuous quality improvement is essential to ensure the competitiveness of manufacturing industries. Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis are common tools for improving quality. This study proposes a new tool that could encompass quality improvement steps comprehensively, namely Quality Improvement Matrix. This tool integrates several techniques which are House of Quality, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis. Quality Improvement Matrix covers identification of defects and its root causes, measuring the magnitude of defects (source of defects), formulating alternatives of solutions for reducing root cause of defects and selecting effective solutions to be implemented. Quality Improvement Matrix is developed by following a similar approach as House of Risk. Thus, it also consists of two matrixes that represent two major stages. The first stage is the identification and prioritizing root causes of defect. Then, the second stage is formulating and selecting solutions for improvements.

Abstract Single-branch filters are still popular and are commonly used for power quality improvement purposes. Analysis of a single-branch filter is a relatively simple task. Although individual filters tuned to specific harmonics can be easily designed, after connecting them into a group it turns out that the capacitance and inductance mutually influence each other, distorting the resulting frequency characteristics. This article presents a matrix method for design a group of single-branch filters, so that the resultant frequency characteristic satisfies the design requirements including the requirements for location of the frequency characteristic maxima. Designer indicates the frequencies of the parallel resonances

Purpose The level of live, reduction of pollution and positive human health is affected by the quality of landscape. In addition, many benefits such as aesthetic, psychological and social can be achieved. The quality of landscape is integrated with the individual’s needs. The scope of landscape must be determined according to user needs and planning methods. The purpose of this study is to propose a house of quality (HOQ) model to identify the landscape design requirements. The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) was used as a case study. The need to implement the proposed HOQ model has been identified. Also, the male and female students’ priorities have been identified, and the weight of campus landscape design elements was extracted. Design/methodology/approach The male and female IUG students’ needs were identified using a questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed for testing statistical validity and reliability using SPSS. HOQ model was built using EDRAW Max program. Findings The ten most important student needs are “cleanliness, praying, feeling safe, feeling comfortable psychic, drinking, spaciousness and breadth, shading, quiet, rest and sitting, and fresh air.” Based on these results and needs assessment, the HOQ was constructed. The most important design elements are “group of seats, shrubs, trees, lawns, pergola, and seats chairs or benches.” Originality/value This study adds to the designer’s knowledge about HOQ application in design, and contributes significantly to consider public participation as a way in collecting the voice of customers.
