Neurotheology is an emerging academic discipline that examines mind-brain relationships in terms of the inter-relatedness of neuroscience, spirituality, and religion. Neurotheology originated from brain-scan studies that revealed specific correlations between certain religious thoughts and localized activated brain areas known as “God Spots.” This relatively young scholarly discipline lacks clear consensus on its definition, ideology, purpose, or prospects for future research. Of special interest is the consideration of the next steps using brain scans to develop this field of research. This review proposes nine categories of future research that could build on the foundation laid by the prior discoveries of God Spots. Specifically, this analysis identifies some sparsely addressed issues that could be usefully explored with new kinds of brain-scan studies: neural network operations, the cognitive neuroscience of prayer, biology of belief, measures of religiosity, role of the self, learning and memory, religious and secular cognitive commonalities, static and functional anatomy, and recruitment of neural processing circuitry. God Spot research is poised to move beyond observation to robust hypothesis generation and testing.

The authors address the importance of the operation of manufacturing networks in order to explain why a company brings its previously offshored facilities back. Fundamentally, this chapter stresses the relevance of network operations in the context of relocation, and hence, the linkage of network-manufacturing capabilities to the reshoring phenomenon. First, it focuses on investigating the relevance of strategic objective of international manufacturing to the management/network operations of international manufacturing network (IMN). Second, it explores the role of strategic capabilities of network-manufacturing on the phenomenon of reshoring. The empirical foundation of this research builds on data from multiple in-depth interviews at companies' headquarters in Spain and Sweden. The results showed the relevance of strategic capabilities of network-manufacturing to reshoring. The authors also provide the guidance for decision making in the operation of international manufacturing.

: Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) comprise a large family of ligand-gated ion channels that have a broad distribution in neurons and non-neuronal cells throughout the body. Native nAChRs, activated by acetylcholine (ACh) endogenously, are involved in a variety of physiological and pathophysiological processes. They regulate processes necessary for network operations through neurotransmitter release, cell excitability and neuronal integration. Emerging evidence suggests that nAChRs are capable of regulating cardiovascular (CV) functions in a cell type-specific manner, through the nervous system and non-neuronal tissues. The aim of this review is to describe the most recent findings regarding the role of nAChRs inside and outside the nervous system in the regulation of CV activities.

Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most frequent gynecological cancer. In patients with relapsed and advanced disease, prognosis is still dismal and development of resistance is common. In this context, endometrial Cancer Stem Cells (eCSC), stem-like cells capable to self-renewal and differentiation in mature cancer cells, represent a potential field of expansion for drug development. The aim of this review is to characterize the role of eCSC in EC, their features and how they could be targeted. CSC are involved in progression, invasiveness and metastasis (though epithelial to mesenchimal transition, EMT), as well as chemoresistance in EC. Nevertheless, isolation of eCSC is still controversial. Indeed, CD133, Aldheyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), CD117, CD55 and CD44 are enriched in CSCs but there is no universal marker nowadays. The most frequently activated pathways in eCSC are Wingless-INT (Wnt)/β-catenin, Notch1, and Hedghog, with a high expression of self-renewal transcription factors like Octamer binding transcription factor 4 (OCT), B Lymphoma Mo-MLV Insertion Region 1 Homolog (BMI1), North American Network Operations Group Homebox protein (NANOG), and SRY-Box 2 (SOX2). These pathways have been targeted with selective drugs alone or in combination with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Unfortunately, although preclinical results are encouraging, few clinical data are available.

The development of Islamic banking in the Sungai Pagu sub-district of South Solok Regency  in terms of network operations, where the Bank Syariah Services Unit in Nagari Muaralabuh is the only Islamic banking institution operating in this area. The problem in this study is: What are the preferences and behavior of community leaders on Islamic banking in Sungai Pagu District. With the aim of knowing the preferences and behavior of community figures on Islamic banking in Sungai Pagu district, South Solok Regency. This research is a field study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Primary data sources are community figure involved  in BAMUS Nagari management of 55 people selected with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques are conducted  through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results revealed the preferences of respondents in the banking sector in Sungai Pagu district, South Solok Regency, with a percentage index above 60%, but this was not supported by good behavior from correspondents where the score index was below 60%. While the role of respondents in delivering and disseminating Islamic banking to the community is at 60%, meaning that good and community leaders are a medium of socialization and promotion of Islamic banking in this area
