This paper discussed the feasibility of unburned and non-autoclaved, steam cured bricks prepared by FGD byproducts from coal-fired power plants. The results show that FGD byproduct, aggregates, cementious materials and water could be used to prepare bricks during the process of stir and compaction under natural cure and steam cured condition. S4 and Z2 are the optimum design mixture composition. The maximum compressive strength and saturation coefficient are 28.7 MPa and 96.7%. FGD byproducts do no harm to environment and a pilot-scale experiment demonstrates that bricks made with FGDA can meet the MU10 level bricks technical requirement.

Epoxy asphalt has fundamentally changed the thermoplastic of asphalt and endowed the asphalt with excellent physical and mechanical properties. This paper analyses the developing technical requirement of thermosetting epoxy asphalt and points out its main problems during preparation and application process. Aiming at the steel deck paving characteristics, the author has independently developed epoxy asphalt binder and tested its performances, the results have showed that this binder can meet the basic requirement of various pavings, and its further research are in process.

The processes of composition and revision put impulse and inspiration into contact with calm reflection in a way that is continuous with the other kinds of human activity Clough describes in his poems—including Dipsychus and The Bothie—where instinct and hesitation have their competing advantages and exert their rival claims. This chapter explores the drafts of Clough’s poems, many of which were heavily revised and remained incomplete at the time of his death. It shows that revision is not solely a technical requirement for Clough; understood more broadly as an ongoing process of self-checking and self-correction, it is a moral requirement in leading a responsible, virtuous life.

Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) of surfaces sometimes presents problems that were not envisioned in classical differential geometry. This paper presents mathematical results that pertain to the design of curvature continuous blending surfaces. Curvature continuity across normal continuous surface patches requires that normal curvatures agree along all tangent directions at all points of the common boundary of two patches, called the linkage curve. The Linkage Curve theorem proved here shows that, for the blend to be curvature continuous when it is already normal continuous, it is sufficient that normal curvatures agree in one direction other than the tangent to a first order continuous linkage curve. This result is significant for it substantiates earlier works in computer aided geometric design. It also offers simple practical means of generating second order blends for it reduces the dimensionality of the problem to that of curve fairing, and is well adapted to a formulation of the blend surface using sweeps. From a theoretical viewpoint, it is remarkable that one can generate second order smooth blends with the assumption that the linkage curve is only first order smooth. The geometric criteria presented may be helpful to the designer since curvature continuity is a technical requirement in hull or cam design problems. The usefulness of the linkage curve theorem is illustrated with a second order blending problem whose implementation will not be detailed here.

Two noteworthy and basic issues for e-commerce sites and consumers are trust as well as security. A belief that someone is good and honest and will not harm you, or something is safe and reliable is called trust; while security is an attempt to safeguard the data from unauthorized access. Information security is a vital management as well as technical requirement over the internet for effective and secure payment transaction activities. The safety of e-commerce resources from use, destruction, unauthorized access and alteration is known as E-commerce security so there is an urgent need to study its dimensions such as authenticity, integrity, availability, privacy, confidentiality and non-repudiation. This paper reports a review of four popular online marketplaces which are Alibaba, Amazon, eBay andTaoBao as case study on two main criteria namely building trust among users and ensuring security on the platform. Furthermore, we discuss the methods being used by each online marketplace to build trust and their unique way ofimproving the security. Finally, different ways of building trust and technique to ensure the security is presented in a tabular form for each online marketplace.

Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a unique tool for conformally depositing inorganic thin films with precisely controlled thickness at nanoscale. Recently, ALD has been used in the manufacture of inorganic thin films using a three-dimensional (3D) nanonetwork structure made of polymer as a template, which is pre-formed by advanced 3D nanofabrication techniques such as electrospinning, block-copolymer (BCP) lithography, direct laser writing (DLW), multibeam interference lithography (MBIL), and phase-mask interference lithography (PMIL). The key technical requirement of this polymer template-assisted ALD is to perform the deposition process at a lower temperature, preserving the nanostructure of the polymer template during the deposition process. This review focuses on the successful cases of conformal deposition of inorganic thin films on 3D polymer nanonetworks using thermal ALD or plasma-enhanced ALD at temperatures below 200 °C. Recent applications and prospects of nanostructured polymer–inorganic composites or hollow inorganic materials are also discussed.

In Vietnam, a large amount of coal bottom ash (CBA) is being discharged from thermal power plants and has been making serious environmental pollution. It is essential to utilize the CBA to reduce environmental pollution. So, this paper presents a series of experimental studies in the laboratory using CBA as a partial replacement of aggregates in concrete pavement for rural roads. In mixing concrete, the CBA is utilized to replace 15, 30, and 100% aggregates. The design of the composition must achieve the technical requirement of M-30 grade of concrete. A total 351 of specimens were tested on workability of fresh concrete, abrasion, compressive strength, and flexural tensile strength in order to achieve the technical requirement of concrete pavement for rural roads. Based on the experimental results, in order to achieve the required compressive strength, An Khanh CBA concrete uses more content of cement and water than control concrete; Cao Ngan CBA is only utilized to replace 15% aggregates, and Cao Ngan CBA concrete also uses more cement and water than control concrete. It also shown that the amount of water and cement content depend on types of CBA and the water amount and cement content of CBA concrete are larger than those of control concrete. The advantage of mixture CBA concrete is abrasion, and flexural tensile strength achieved the value as per the technical requirement.

It is widely acknowledged that the software of Creator can be used to establish a stationary model of a traffic environment. While, when the model is too large and the details are too complicated, especially those with 10000 or even 100000 items, the editing and modifying of the model becomes very difficult. To solve the problem, setting the nodes in the OpenFlight database can be one of the good ways. The paper gives a way of setting the nodes through practice on the base of building the model of the traffic testing field. After validation, the way of setting nodes can not only satisfy the technical requirement such as LOD, but also can simplify the editing and using of the model builder.
