Piezoelectric vibration-based energy harvesters consist of an electromechanical structure and an electric circuitry, influencing each other. We propose a novel approach that allows a finite element based system simulation of nonlinear electromechanical structures coupled to nonlinear electric circuitries. In the finite element simulation the influence of the electric circuit on the electromechanical structure is considered via the vector of external forces, using an implicit time integration scheme. To demonstrate the applicability of the new simulation method an active power circuit is considered. Several examples of piezoelectric vibration-based energy harvesters, connected to standard or synchronized switch harvesting on inductor (SSHI) circuits, showing linear or nonlinear mechanical behavior, are studied to validate the proposed simulation method against numerical results reported in the literature. The advocated method allows for consistent and efficient simulations of complete nonlinear energy harvesters using only one software tool.

In this paper, a finite element model of membrane air spring in the vehicle is established, and its vertical stiffness characteristics under a certain inflation pressure are analysed. The result of finite element simulation method is compared with the result of the air spring bench test. The accuracy and reliability of the finite element simulation method in nonlinear analysis of air spring system are verified. In addition, according to the finite element method, the influence of the installation of the air spring limit sleeve on its stiffness is verified.

To predict an airborne equipment lifetime with finite element simulation method, use ANSYS and Flothem, respectively, to analysis vibration stress and temperature stress, corrected by kinetic experiment; then import the results into the failure prediction software-CALCE PWA, set the intensity and duration of stress according to its mission profile, finally get the component failure life prediction results under comprehensive temperature and vibration stress; extract the Monte-Carlo simulation data, use the single point of failure distribution fitting, fault clustering and multipoint distribution fusion method to get the board and the whole machines lifetime and reliability prediction. The design refinement suggestion of the airborne equipment is given at the end of the conclusion.

The fractures after artificial steering fracturing appear in shades of curved surface. Aiming at the problem of steering fracture, in the paper, numerical simulation method under the condition of three-dimensional two-phase flow is presented based on finite element method. In this method, of steering fracture was achieved by adopting surface elements fractures and tetrahedron elements to describe formation. By numerical simulation, the change rule of oil and water production performance of steering fractures can be calculated, and then the steering fracture parameters can be optimized before fracturing. A new method was supplied for the numerical simulation of artificial fractured well.
