Under the background of global ocean development, artificial intelligence has increasing importance which urges the improvement of traditional research and exploration methods. Marine applications of artificial intelligence have been further practiced and expanded by Shanghai World Expo, which reflect in at least three major areas: firstly, the foundations of technical thought kernel, network expansion and intelligent navigation are laid in Maritime Internet of Things; secondly, in the field of far-reaching sea exploration, unmanned probe (deep-sea robot) relied on artificial intelligence technology has gradually become a major force in international competition; thirdly, as an ocean information and management comprehensive integration platform, digital ocean is applied to crack ocean information solitary island, jumbled information and other difficult problems through cooperation development, function integration and affinity services, enhancing the public ocean consciousness.

Achieving lightweight construction through only material substitution does not realize the full potential of producing a lightweight material, hence, it is no longer sufficient. Weight-saving goals are best achieved through additional function integration. In order to implement this premise for mass production, a manufacturing process for joining and forming hybrid laminates using a new tool concept is presented. All materials used are widely producible and processable. The manufactured cover of an automotive center console serves to demonstrate a human interface device with impact detection and action execution. This is only possible through a machine learning system, which is implemented on a small—and thus space- and energy-saving—embedded system. The measurement results confirm the objective and show that localization was sufficiently accurate.

Abstract Purpose This work aimed to evaluate genotype-phenotype associations in individuals carrying germline variants of transmembrane protein 127 gene (TMEM127), a poorly known gene that confers susceptibility to pheochromocytoma (PHEO) and paraganglioma (PGL). Design Data were collected from a registry of probands with TMEM127 variants, published reports, and public databases. Main Outcome Analysis Clinical, genetic, and functional associations were determined. Results The cohort comprised 110 index patients (111 variants) with a mean age of 45 years (range, 21-84 years). Females were predominant (76 vs 34, P < .001). Most patients had PHEO (n = 94; 85.5%), although PGL (n = 10; 9%) and renal cell carcinoma (RCC, n = 6; 5.4%) were also detected, either alone or in combination with PHEO. One-third of the cases had multiple tumors, and known family history was reported in 15.4%. Metastatic PHEO/PGL was rare (2.8%). Epinephrine alone, or combined with norepinephrine, accounted for 82% of the catecholamine profiles of PHEO/PGLs. Most variants (n = 63) occurred only once and 13 were recurrent (2-12 times). Although nontruncating variants were less frequent than truncating changes overall, they were predominant in non-PHEO clinical presentations (36% PHEO-only vs 69% other, P < .001) and clustered disproportionately within transmembrane regions (P < .01), underscoring the relevance of these domains for TMEM127 function. Integration of clinical and previous experimental data supported classification of variants into 4 groups based on mutation type, localization, and predicted disruption. Conclusions Patients with TMEM127 variants often resemble sporadic nonmetastatic PHEOs. PGL and RCC may also co-occur, although their causal link requires further evaluation. We propose a new classification to predict variant pathogenicity and assist with carrier surveillance.

Stress-sensitive widely exists in fractured reservoir. In this paper, a mathematical model of flow in stress-sensitive reservoir with horizontal well is established based on experimental data and with process of linearization. By using of Lord Kelvin point-source solution, Bessel function integration and Poisson superimpose formula, the dimensionless pressure response function of horizontal well in infinite stress-sensitive reservoir is obtained. And then the derivative type curve is calculated. Based on the type curve, the characteristics and influencing factors of the fluid flow through porous medium of horizontal well in stress-sensitive gas reservoir are analyzed.

Abstract In mechanical engineering design, the conceptual design phase involves the determination of the structural means for realizing the functions of a product. Function integration is a means for achieving an efficient design, where the same means contributes to the realization of multiple functions. This paper contributes to a phenomenological understanding of function integration and aims at refining design theories treating this subject. The work rests upon and contributes to German design theory and the design theories of the WDK School. For explaining function integration, the concept of wirk element is introduced. A wirk element is defined as a functionally active form element that is part of an organ and contributes to the realization of a function. Furthermore, based upon the allocation and activation of wirk elements, a definition of function integration is given, and six kinds of integration are classified. Finally, opportunistic design is explained by the wirk element concept and the implication of function integration on product modeling in configuration systems is treated. Throughout the paper, several examples are given to illustrate the explanatory power of the proposed modeling concept.
