We report a simple and cheap self-designed scale that is a very effective instrument for partial glossectomy and tumor excision in oral cavity. This scale could be placed on the surface of the mucosa to design the adequate and accurate surgical margin with forceps. In addition, this scale can be attached on the surface of the mucosa without holding by the forceps. Its effectiveness and safety were identified for glossectomy, tumor excision in our experience. Keywords: Surgical margin, Self-made scale, Ruler, Tongue cancer, Leukoplakia, Benign tumor

Vulva tumors are generally a rare disease encountered in gynecological clinical practice, especially at a young age. Vulvar tumors, more common in the labia major and rarely in the labia minor, clitoris, vestibulum, and posterior comicura. The most common vulvar benign tumors are fibroma, papilloma, lipoma, angioma, and others. A 39-year-old woman, at RSCM Urogynecology Jakarta clinic with chief complain mass or swelling in right labia minor. Size of mass increases in period of one year. Mass began to grow at 8 months of pregnancy. By 2014, patients have same mass in the right and left labia minor, and tumor excision has been performed. Conclusions of the specimens sent for pathological assessment are fibroepithelial papillomas. Gynecological and palpation examinations show 2 solid papilloma masses, in right labia minor, 8x4x2 cm and 3x2x2cm, painless, and firmly defined. In mons pubis area, skin looks coarse, thickened, hyperkeratotic. Speculum examination showed no abnormality. Patient diagnosed as a recurrent minor armored labia tumor. On December 5, 2017 an excision and reconstruction operation was conducted. Obtained pathological exam on December 20, 2017 with results stromal fibroepithelial polyps. Among all tumors in the vulva, tumors in labia minor appear less frequently. Biopsy should be performed for histologic examination to exclude malignant allegations. Furthermore, because of the location and size of the tumor, it can cause severe interference symptoms in the patient and therefore early diagnosis and treatment is essential.

Schwannoma is a peripheral nerve sheath tumor, a benign tumor that grows slowly from neural fairy cells in the nerve sheath. These tumors can cause neurological deficits because of their intradural location and suppress the spinal cord so it needs to be decompressed to prevent permanent nerve damage. We reported one case of intradural thoracal schwannoma with a neurologic deficit of paraplegia inferior. We have performed a laminectomy — posterior durotomy and tumor excision with a posterior approach without intraoperative monitoring. The result is a return of motoric and sensory improvement. The patient was satisfied with the result.

Lipoma is the benign tumor occurring at any anatomical site where fat is present. It may be evident for 1 to 5 percent of the entire benign tumor of the oral cavity. Lipoma of the tongue is extremely rare because tongue is totally devoid of fat cell. In this case study we report a case of lipoma of tongue. A 45 years old Bangladeshi female patient presented with this benign tumor at the left lateral border with dorsal and ventral surface of the tongue for which complete tumor excision was done.Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science Vol.14(3) 2015 p.302-304

Abstract The muscles of the masticatory system and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) are protected by basic nerve reflex and neuromuscular system through the coordination of muscle forces, all that repetitive muscle overload occurs as habit parafunctional (HPF) can cause temporomandibular disorder TMD)1. The characteristics of HPF are abnormal jaw movements without a functional objective. Being the jaw movements altered, they constitute a source of traumatic forces with an abnormal direction, excessive intensity and long-lasting and frequent duration. (Rolando Hernandez Castillo 2001)4. Objective: was to identify the association between the presences of parafunctional habits of the oral cavity and TMD in adolescents in the Puebla city in Mexico. Material and methods: Is a observational study, we included 258 adolescents 132 (51%) females and 126 (48.8%) were men, mean age 12.5±.73 and who were diagnosed with CDI/TTM and HPF were self- reported by patients. Results: The prevalence of TMD was 39.9% and a prevalence of 86% HPF. The most frequently reported HPF were lip sucking and nail biting. We found a significant association (x2= 7.31, p = 0,007) between HPF and TMD in adolescents. Key words: Parafunctional habits of oral cavity, temporomandibular disorders, temporomandibular joint. The objective: to study the prevalence of ovarian endometriosis in women of reproductive age, the features of clinical and ultrasound picture of endometriosis. Patients and methods. The study involved 22 patients with endometriomas, the control group – 50 women gynecological and somatically healthy. Results. The incidence of ovarian endometriomas in the structure of benign tumor-like formations of ovaries is 0.62%. In 72.73% of ovarian endometriomas occur on a background of concomitant gynecological pathology. Clinically, in 77.27% of cases there is a pain syndrome, in 59.09% – algomenorrhea, in 13.64% – infertility; 18.18% of cases endometriomas remain «dumb» and proceed with the erased clinical picture. Sonologically in patients with endometriomas adenomyosis, endometrial hyperplasia, changes in the contralateral ovary are determined. Conclusion. Without additional methods of diagnostic gynecological examination may identify the 3 cm tumor-like formation of the ovary with different characteristics, which does not allow to differentiate endometrioma from inflammation, functional and ovarian tumors. Ultrasound can diagnose pathological ovarian formation of 1 cm, detailing the nature of the cyst. Key words: endometriosis, reproductive age, retrospective analysis, ultrasound.

Background: Hemolymphangioma is a rare benign tumor. To the best of our knowledge, there were only 10 reports of this tumor of the pancreas until March 2018. Case Report: Here, we reported a large invasive hemolymphangioma of the pancreas in a young woman with a complaint of abdominal distension and an epigastric mass about 3 weeks. She was found to have a huge multilocular cystic tumor at the neck and body of pancreas on computed tomography. She was eventually diagnosed with hemolymphangioma of the pancreas after operation. After 2 years of follow-up, there was no signs of recurrence. Conclusion: From our case and literature, we can conclude that hemolymphangioma of the pancreas is uncommon benign tumor, and it is hard to make an accurate diagnosis preoperatively. Radical surgical resection should be performed whenever possible. The prognosis of this disease seems good.

Testicular fibroma of gonadal stromal origin is a rare benign tumor of testis, which usually presents as a slow growing testicular mass. Intratesticular fibroma of gonadal stromal origin, with or without minor sex cord elements, must be considered, analogous to similar tumors in ovary, as a benign tumor. Until now, only 25 cases of testicular fibroma have been reported in the literature. We reported a case of testicular fibroma in a 20 years male who presented with painless right testicular enlargement since two years. Ultrasonography (USG) showed heterogeneous mass in right scrotum suggestive of testicular malignancy. Right orchidectomy was done. Histopathological diagnosis was testicular fibroma, which was confirmed by immunohistochemistry.
