This paper uses a co-citation analysis to examine the research on L2 vocabulary acquisition that was published in 1986. This year seems to mark a serious consolidation of L2 vocabulary research, with the main themes of future research appearing. The paper also reports a larger analysis of all the work that appeared in a five-year window from 1982-1986. This analysis clearly shows the beginnings of a recognisable research focus on L2 vocabulary acquisition, though this work is influenced by some surprising sources, who do not figure in more recent work in the field.

AbstractThis paper provides an overview of the ever-increasing literature on opportunity recognition, with a focus on its antecedents and determinants. With a two-step research approach, a bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review, we structure the current research in this field. By using bibliometric techniques, we analyzed 161 publications and, consequently, clustered the 30 most influential references. Apart from economic theories and the role of opportunity recognition in entrepreneurship, a strong research focus is on antecedents of opportunity recognition. Therefore, in our subsequent literature review, we focus on determinants which influence opportunity recognition. We find that the opportunity recognition process is influenced by various personal, organizational and environmental factors. We conclude with a research outlook for future research opportunities on opportunity recognition.

The article presents a bibliometric analysis of the research of international journals "European Journal of Special Needs Education","International Journal of Special Education" and "International Journal of Inclusive Education" published from 2002 to 2018. The journals' selected articles related to the study of attitudes towards inclusive education and children with disabilities. We analysed the amount of publications in accordance with the selected parameters for each journal and for each year separately, their dynamics for the selected period, defined criteria: in terms of geography, category of children, research focus, category of pedagogues, factors affecting social attitudes. We proposed promising areas of study of the problem under study.

AIM: To identify and characterize the 100 most influential articles in the field of myopia over the last decades. METHODS: Articles on myopia published between January 1975 and March 2020 were searched through the Web of Science Core Collection database. Two independent authors reviewed and determined the 100 most cited articles. The characteristics of each eligible article were recorded, including authors, institutions, countries, journals, publication date, total citations (TCs), annual citations (ACs), research focus and article type. RESULTS: The top 100 most influential articles were published between 1983 and 2016, with 1999 as the most prolific year. The mean number of TCs was 288 (range: 193-537) and the mean number of ACs was 19 (range: 7-109). Treatment and epidemiology of myopia were the most important research focus. These articles were published in 21 journals led by Ophthalmology (29%) followed by Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science (23%). The number of ACs for articles published in the last ten years was significantly higher than that for the other most-cited articles (44 vs 16, Mann-Whitney U test P<0.01). There is no difference in the number of TCs between original articles and review articles, while the number of ACs for review articles was significantly higher than that for original articles (22 vs 17, Mann-Whitney U test P<0.05). CONCLUSION: This bibliometric analysis can provide us with concise information about the development trend of research in the field of myopia in the past few decades, and provide an important reference for researchers to guide future research.

Abstract Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive subtype of breast cancer, and it lacks an efficient target treatment. Here, we aimed to gain knowledge on the development of TNBC research and explore potential treatment strategies. Methods: We analyzed 14,389 publications on TNBC from the Web of Science (WOS) over the past 20 years, from 2000 to 2020, using bibliometric methods. We evaluated the publication tendency of TNBC and the contributions of different countries. Institutions and journals with the highest number of TNBC publications were screened. Finally, the research focus of the TNBC publications were also analyzed. Results: TNBC publications have significantly increased in the past 20 years, with elevated relative research interest (RRI). The USA has the most TNBC-related publications with high quality, and China is the country with the most rapid growth tendency in TNBC publications. The University of Texas System is the institution with the most TNBC publications. Breast Cancer Research and Treatment is the journal that published the most TNBC-related publications. The top 30 publications with high citations are also listed. The researches focusing on TNBC in the past 20 years were separated into four main clusters: tumor biology, TNBC therapies, treatment sensitivity, and gene mutations. The research focus in TNBC ranked by appearing years reflects the development of TNBC treatment strategy, showing that targeting tumor immunity is now the main focus in TNBC research. Conclusions: Using bibliometric analysis, we initially revealed the increasing interest in TNBC research and summarized the publication tendency of TNBC. We also reported focused topics screened from publications in the past 20 years, indicating the main problems and research objectives of TNBC for the first time. Immune-related topics are becoming the focus of TNBC research.
