The objective of this study is to examine the test anxiety levels of the high school students in terms of various variables. The study was conducted in a screening model from descriptive research methods. The data is collected from 734 students, who are in the 11th grade of five different high schools in 2016-2017 education year in İstanbul province. The research data was collected by the "Test Anxiety Inventory" developed by Spielberg and adapted by Öner and "Personal Information Form" developed by the researchers. Initially, data was tested whether the assumptions are met or not during the analysis. Then, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), independent t-test, and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the anxiety levels of the students according to various variables. Results shows that there were statistically significant differences in the test anxieties of the students according to the sex; the female students were more worried in both the affective and delusional sub-dimensions of the inventory than the male students. It was also found that students who are satisfied with their classes or schools have lower levels of anxiety than others. In addition, students who felt self-anxious about the university entrance exam had higher anxiety levels compared to other students, and students, who believed that they would be successful had lower level of anxiety than others. Lastly, according to results, number of siblings, siblings, private tutoring, and having a separate room to study did not affect the test anxiety level of students.Extended English abstract is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.ÖzetBu çalışmanın amacı, lise öğrencilerinin sınav kaygı düzeylerini etkileyen değişkenleri incelemektir.

This study examined how social opportunity structure influences identity exploration and commitment of Albanian high school students. A total of 258 students completed a questionnaire that gauged their identity exploration and commitment in three domains: education, occupation, and family. ANOVA results indicated that, overall, students scored highest in exploration in the domain of education and in commitment in the domain of family. Students' exploration and commitment were linked to gender. Albanian female students scored higher than male students in exploration and commitment regarding education and family. Perceived work opportunities in Albania or abroad also significantly moderated participants' exploration in the domain of education and were associated with commitment in education and occupation. As one of the first studies to explore Albanian youth's identity development in relation to social opportunity structure, findings are discussed in light of furthering the field of Albanian adolescent and youth development.

Background/Aim. To reduce the risk of burnout development of medical professionals, it is important to identify the contributing factors as early as in their schooling years. The aim of this research is to propose a model that will determine the relationship between the coping strategies medical high school and medical faculty students use, and burnout. Methods. The cross-sectional study included 164 medical high school students (80.5% female and 19.5% male students) and 344 students of the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Medicine (76.9% female and 23.1% male students). The model exploring the relationship between coping strategies (measured by Brief COPE scale) and burnout (measured by CBI-S scale) was tested using structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis. Results. When coping with stress, medical high school students use Acceptance, Venting, Behavioural Disengagement, and Planning that increase their burnout, and they do not use any strategies that would help them reduce burnout. When coping with stress, medical faculty students use Planning, Acceptance, Humour, Venting, Behavioural Disengagement, Self-Blame, and Substance Use that increase their burnout and Positive Reframing which helps them reduce burnout. Conclusion. The results of this research show an evident lack of use of adaptive coping strategies with both groups of respondents. Proper education would help them replace these dysfunctional coping strategies with more constructive ones.

This study investigates whether teaching spelling to high school students using different techniques, i.e. copy, cover, compare and flip folder, would improve students’ spelling. Additionally, it explores students’ opinions and perceptions towards these techniques. The research conducted in Granada high school in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Thirty-six male students participated in this study whose levels according to the course book were assumed to be B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). In this study, a mixed research method was used where data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The first group was taught using copy cover and compare method (CCC), which emphasizes repeated practice when errors occur in students spelling, whereas the second group was trained using the flip folder technique which is a combination of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques that were believed to enhance memorization. A post-test was utilized immediately after the intervention and the results showed that the CCC group outperformed the Flip Folder group.
