The reduction in the vibration and noise of gears is an important issue in mechanical devices such as vehicles and wind turbines. The characteristics of the vibration and noise of gears are markedly affected by deviations of the tooth flank form of micrometer order; therefore, strict quality control of the tooth flank form is required. The accuracy of the lead measurement for a gear-measuring instrument is usually evaluated using a helicoid artifact. However, it is difficult to manufacture it with high accuracy because the helix is a complicated geometrical form. To solve this problem, a method of evaluating a gear-measuring instrument using a wedge artifact, which includes a highly precise plane surface, has been proposed. In this research, to put the wedge artifact into practice, a design method of the wedge artifact is developed. In addition, the effects of the measuring condition and the setting error of the wedge artifact on the measurement result are investigated. The uncertainty for the evaluation method using a wedge artifact is assessed by a measurement experiment and simulation.

Vibration of gears is a serious problem in mechanical devices. The characteristics of these vibrations are strongly affected by tooth flank form deviation of micrometer or submicrometer order. The quality of manufactured gears is controlled by a gear-measuring instrument. The accuracy of the profile measurement by such an instrument is evaluated using a master gear or an involute artifact. However, it is difficult to manufacture gears with high accuracy because the involute is a complicated geometrical form. To solve this problem, the double ball artifact (DBA) has been proposed as a means to evaluate the profile measurement accuracy. The application of the DBA requires a DBA design method so that the DBA can be applied to a wide variety of gear dimensions in the industrial field and can realize high-precision evaluation. In the present study, a design method is proposed for the DBA, and the dimensions, tolerance, and material of the DBA are determined. A DBA is designed and manufactured according to the proposed design method and the effectiveness of the manufactured DBA is verified experimentally using a gear-measuring instrument.

The aim of this study was to obtain the method of the green design and modular design that oriented construction machinery products. A variety of modern design tools such as the finite element analysis software package and optimize design package and a two-factor evaluation fuzzy modelare used to analyze and Evaluation the green degree and the module degree of the construction machinery. Some modern mathematical tools such as AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are used to calculate and evaluate the green degree and the module degree in construction machinery design. The proposed design method can meet the requirements of the green degree and the module degree of the construction machinery.

A design method is described for the steadily loaded, full journal bearing. This is presented as a non-iterative set of algebraic equations, where a dependent bearing parameter, e. g. eccentricity or power-loss, is predicted in terms of known independent parameters which include bearing geometry, running conditions and oil characteristics. The method is developed from a regression analysis of accurately computed, fully thermohydrodynamic, solutions for the bearing. These solutions are generated by simultaneously solving the Reynolds and energy equations in the oil film, the Laplace equation in the bearing material and the oil-mixing conditions at inlet. A quasi three-dimensional finite-difference technique is used. Both the particular solutions and the predictions of the design method compare favourably with a wide range of experimental data, the latter showing an improvement in accuracy and economy on existing design methods.

In this work, it is presented and studied that the harmonious of product function with capability, harmonious of product with product, harmonious of product with people, with technology, with society environment, with entironment from the view of entironment, society, economy, science, politics, culture and legal point in the design process. And the quality verification and evaluation methods are studied to enhance the design quality more effectively. And that, all the studied contents is named harmonious design method. One machine tool is used as an example to explain the method with design quality evaluated by fuzzy synthesized evaluation method from function, structure capability, working capability and craftwork capability factors. The grade and disparity of design quality are obtained through the evaluation results, then design project could be modified based on it, and it is very useful to improve product quality and to enhance performance-price ratio and market competitive ability.

Gamplong Tourism Village and Craft at Sleman Regency are one of the alternative tourist destinations of Yogyakarta Special Region. This tourist village presents weaving craft tours. There are approximately 18 weaving craftsmen in this tourist village. The promotions that have been carried out so far are still using leaflet and social media usage methods. It is an obstacle when social media does not provide clear information for tour packages in Gamplong tourism and craft villages. The absence of a website as a showroom and provider of information about the details of Gamplong tourism villages and handicrafts. This research develops a Gamplong village tourism and craft web profile prototype uses user experience design method. The design method uses five planes user experience elements. The design result evaluation method uses a heuristic evaluation method. The results of the study succeeded in creating a prototype web profile of Gamplong Tourism Village and Craft with user experience design method. The heuristic evaluation results on the interface of the Gamplong Tourism Village's prototype web profile and Handicraft as a reference for usability evaluation, suggesting that aesthetics, design, and match with the real, but need better handling for error prevention, adding help menus, and bilingual features.

In this study, we developed a computer-aided product design method for goblet styling design based on two methods. The first was parametric design derived from an adjustable cam mechanism, which was used for shape generation, and the second was Kansei engineering, which was used for shape evaluation. In the shape generation method, motion curves from an adjustable cam were used. Designers can collect feature point data from existing products to define the boundary conditions of adjustable cam motion equations; furthermore, adjustable motion curves allow parametric design. Through adjusting a single parameter, motion curves were changed to be used as projective curves for the styling design of goblets. Then, a coordinate transformation method was applied to support the three-dimensional styling design of goblets. In the shape evaluation method, some goblet stylings were regularly selected to determine adjective degrees by production design experts. Adjective degrees for goblets that had not been selected were determined through interpolation. Market demand was defined as the preference of customers for specific adjective degrees for goblets.

Based on the simple transfer function design, this thesis presents a technology for complicated transfer function design. It converts complicated transfer function design problem into the fusing of several simple transfer function. The keystone is to formulate the transfer function fusing problem into searching for optimal fusing proportion, and to generate the new fusing proportion using a similarity evaluation method, which is based on expectation fitness. To a large extent, it simplifies the design process of complicated transfer function.
