A Concurrent Migration Model for Optimal Utilization of Existing Computer Resources

Abstract The paper describes the methodology of concurrent migration with optimal utilization of existing computer resources which has been used in organizations. Concurrent migration bypasses a transitional system which is described as migration model. Migration model includes modules for resource utilization, minimum modification, advance implementation, continuous utilization and concurrent development. Procedure for concurrent migration includes seven steps in which the migration system is included. A case study of concurrent migration of a centralized system converted to a distributed system based on remote/local (R/L) computing is presented to show the availability of the model and the procedure.

Distributed System, plays a vital role in Frequent Subgraph Mining (FSM) to extract frequent subgraph from Large Graph database. It help to reduce in memory requirements, computational costs as well as increase in data security by distributing resources across distributed sites, which may be homogeneous or heterogeneous. In this paper, we focus on the problem related complexity of data arises in centralized system by using MapReduce framework. We proposed a MapReduced based Optimized Frequent Subgrph Mining (MOFSM) algorithm in MapReduced framework for large graph database. We also compare our algorithm with existing methods using four real-world standard datasets to verify that better solution with respect to performance and scalability of algorithm. These algorithms are used to extract subgraphs in distributed system which is important in real-world applications, such as computer vision, social network analysis, bio-informatics, financial and transportation network.

The purpose of this paper is to prove that the rationalization of the “Integrated Endogenous Local Development” should be proved to be a valuable policy mean, under the proposed methodological procedure of Sensitizing Local People, through the “animation procedure”, toward developing their own skills, capacities and therefore their place, that are asked by the local SMEs Sensitization may be proved to be the fundamental methodological tool, for building the social capital at local level, by making valuable local people’s “intrinsic inclinations”-a “term” which is stronger than “capacities”- under a new value system, and human communication. ”Sensitization” - as the upper limit of the sensitization procedure- is been approached, step by step, especially: Establishing the “bottom-up approach” in planning the development procedure at local level, Establishing the “animation procedure” among local people, Analysing local people “intrinsic inclinations” in context with a “system value”, Creating a “team psychology” among local people, Encouraging local people in finding and adopting the local “Flag Theme”. The proposed procedure may be useful, especially in small, less developed and isolated rural areas. A case-study “Women Cooperative, Gargaliani, South-West Peloponnesos”, is referred as a typical case of the development procedure, based on local people (women) animation in Greece.

<p>Node-Availability is a new metric that based on processor utilization, free RAM and number of processes queued at a node, compares different workload levels of the nodes participating in a distributed system. Dynamic scheduling and Load-Balancing in distributed systems can be achieved through the Node-Availability metric as decision criterion, even without previously knowing the execution time of the processes, nor other information about them such as process communication requirements.<br /> This paper also presents a case study which shows that the metric is feasible to implement in conjunction with a dynamic Load-Balancing algorithm, obtaining an acceptable performance.</p>


The era is now facing water scarcity and the available water is being depleted at a faster rate to meet the needs of the growing population. At this juncture, it is essential to use the reduce-reuse-recycle strategy. Reducing excessive usage of water for essential needs and reusing the recycled water for non-consumptive purposes can be a great step in the conservation of water. The waste water from various sources can be collected and treated using an STP. In most of the cases, water treatment requires a centralized system of control and operation. The STP should be designed by considering the inflow characteristics, objective of the water treatment and availability of resources. There are various operational and managerial constraints while designing an STP. In case of overloaded condition of available STP, either some modification has to be done to prevent the decrease in efficiency of the obtained output or a new plant has to be constructed. In this case study, we have analyzed three different approaches to solve the issue of an overloaded STP. The results based on various criteria including cost of construction and maintenance have been discussed.

<p><em>This study aims to examine the factors that affect the performance of the ERP implementation. These factors are: the data migration, system documentation, knowledge transfer, system testing, and integration interfaces. These factors can increase the performance of the implementation of ERP software applications that are on retail industry. The case study method in this research is using interviews and direct observation, the object of the interview in this study is Functional modules of SAP ERP. Sources of data derived from primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that factors influence on the performance of retail industry. Therefore, the factors to be considered in order to improve the success of SAP ERP project in the future.
