The urgency of the task of effective development of cutting areas on the slopes of mountains, hills, and hilly-ridge reliefs is primarily due to the depletion of available, special, lowland operational forests in Siberia and the Far East, which were once, not quite correctly, called forest-surplus regions of the Russian Federation. The operational woodlands that are convenient for development in Siberia and the Far East are largely depleted. To develop new ones, large-scale road construction is necessary, which requires significant financial expenses and reduces the already low profitability of logging production. It is also declining due to the ever-increasing volume of export of harvested timber, even if the cost of construction and maintenance of a new network of logging roads is not considered. Forest ecosystems located on slopes are among the most vulnerable. When working on the slopes with traditional systems of logging machines, it becomes necessary to cut a serpentine of skid trails, which later become concentrators of water and wind erosion. Currently, leading manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the forest industry, such as Ponsse, John Deer, Komatsu, and others, have developed technical solutions that significantly facilitate the operation of forest machine systems. Such solutions, first of all, include winches integrated into the transmissions of machines. Another solution is to use separate self-propelled winches remotely controlled by the operator of a forest machine, for example, T-winch. In this case, the machine does not receive additional weight from the winch integrated into it; however, the negative impact of forest machines on soils does not disappear, but has its own significant specifics. The article shows that when performing logging operations on slopes, primarily steep ones with slope angles exceeding 20–25°, it is necessary to make adjustments to the assessment of the destruction nature of the soil array and the patterns of the track depth formation under the influence of the skidding system. Abstract Solar air collector is one of the main components of a solar dryer unit, which supplies the conditioned air for processing the perishable edible items. Various techniques have been employed to improve the thermal efficiency of the collector system, such as extended surfaces, packed beds, artificial roughness, etc., however, the cost of construction is higher. Therefore, this study was focussed on the collector efficiency enhancement using a chimney without applying the aforementioned. A single-pass solar air collector coupled with drying chamber and chimney was utilized for the experiments. The experiments were conducted in September. The average values of the solar radiation intensity, ambient temperature, temperatures inside the dryer, collector efficiency were graphically presented. The experimental data reported the maximum values of the outlet temperatures for the solar air collector with and without a chimney to be 52.8 °C and 57 °C, respectively. The collector thermal efficiency with and without the chimney was found to vary from 29.6% to 64.8% and from 26.9% to 44.8%, respectively. Furthermore, it was noticed that, with the chimney, the temperature inside the dryer showed uniform tendency.

The future of construction will be directly connected with additive manufacturing (AM). It is easy to see the lack of consistency between jobs, labour inefficiency, schedule delays, delays on material delivery, exceeding budget projections and high percentage of material waste. Over the years, additive manufacturing has been a constant topic of discussion, in order to understand the limitations, applications and the overall impact on the cost of construction. In this work it is intended to present/discuss opportunities and challenges and the potential of AM to revolutionize the industry.

Geopolymer Concrete is a new innovative type of concrete, and it is used widely in the construction industries. This type of concrete comes into place due to reduced cement content usage in the construction of structures. Already we are using cement as a binding material widely in the construction sector, but the problem is due to the cement content Co2 emissions are mainly produced and one more problem is greenhouse gases are increasing rapidly during the manufacturing of cement. Then after a lot of researchers, finally we got a geopolymer as a replacement for cement. By replacing cement content with geopolymer, we can reduce the cost of construction and reuse the structural materials. So, this type of concrete is different from standard conventional concrete. We can minimize Co2 and greenhouse gases’ problem in the atmosphere and make the structure an environmentally friendly solution. So, this type of concrete is very famous in the construction industry, and there are benefits also excellent. So, it can be used widely in construction sectors worldwide. This paper may help understand Geopolymer Concrete for everyone quickly. It gives a quick review of the Geopolymer Concrete.

Currently, there is an active transition of the investment and construction industry in the field of digitalization in many management processes. The main focus of the state is focused on the continuous process of managing information modeling technologies of a construction object at all stages of its life cycle, and the key element of this management process is the collection and publication of analytical data collected automatically by extracting the requested information from information systems about stages and critical points in urban development. Of particular importance is the automation of the process of managing the cost of the object and the creation of a unified information environment that takes into account possible factors of cost changes during the implementation of the construction object.
