Abstract As a promising mitigation strategy, In-vessel-retention (IVR) has been an important research focus in realms of nuclear safety analysis. For IVR analysis, it’s of importance to study the natural convection behaviors of the corium pool formed in the lower plenum of the reactor vessel. Because of the different densities between corium compositions, typically the corium pool is believed to evolve to two-layer configurations, with a heavier oxide layer at bottom and a metal layer on top. To know better the convection behaviors of the layered corium pools, research was performed both experimentally and numerically. The test section for the experiment is a two-dimensional semi-ellipsoidal slice, which measures a span of 1.2m, a total pool depth of 0.75m and a thickness of 0.2m. Two immiscible fluid, i.e. fluorinert fluid FC-40 and water, were chosen to simulate the oxide layer and the metal layer respectively. Based on the experimental settings, numerical simulations were performed, and the results were compared with the experimental data. Further, discussions were made on the focusing effect, the relationship between the temperature and the velocity field, and also the coupling modes in the two-layer system. These results offer more details to the knowledge of layered corium pools and can be helpful for IVR analysis.

This article proposes to study the changing relationship between religion and the digital continent as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this objective, the paper is divided into three parts. First, it offers an overview of the connection between religion and the digital environment, outlining four possible paradigms of the open relationship between these two worlds. Second, the article discusses the research project undertaken during the COVID-19 pandemic on behalf of the Corporation of Thanatologists of Quebec, focusing on the relationship between delayed funerals and delayed grief. In particular, this article deals with one of the solutions proposed to thanatologists, i.e., the development of a culture of bimodal ritual, both in person and remote, and therefore partly digital. Using this solution as a pointer, religion’s shift toward digital technology in the COVID-19 period is analyzed in the third part of the article. To this end, the four paradigms drawn from the overview are set against the research focus areas resulting from the solution proposed to the Corporation of Thanatologists.

Abstract Built elements and structures are a prominent component of our historic gardens, both in terms of function and artistic composition and garden scenery. The surveys of historic garden structures are important research tasks, which also underpins and validates restoration work. In most cases, the neglected state of historic gardens and sites and the unavailable archival materials do not allow an authentic restoration of historic gardens to their original state. Nevertheless, there is a real need to reconstruct our historic gardens, based not only on historical authenticity but also on a systematic reinterpretation of the relationship between society and landscape. The objective of this article is to present a general methodology for renewal of historic gardens through examples of specific garden reconstructions. The case studies are the authors' own design works, which demonstrate the application of different design approaches, highlighting details of the reconstruction of specific built garden elements.

In the organization of human interaction are incorporated in them, such as the relationship with subordinate leaders, that they will work together in performing the tasks that have been planned to achieve organizational goals. A leader in the proficient and skilled capable expected should also be willing and have the willingness to work effectively and efficiently. The task of a leader is to plan, mobilize and supervise every activity in the organization. One of the main tasks of a leader is to be able to achieve the performance of employees which in turn can achieve the goals and objectives of the organization are in leader. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach His research focus is 1) the role of the leader in achieving the performance of employees at the Regional Employment Agency of Surabaya (BKD). 2) the performance of employees in the Regional Employment Agency of Surabaya. The results showed that the role of the leader in achieving the performance of employees in Surabaya Regional Employment Agency can already be quite well where leaders are able to carry out their role so as to achieve better performance of employees in order to realize the objectives of the organization.   Keywords: Leader, Employee Performance, Regional Employment Agency Surabaya

Green marketing meets the present needs of the consumer and business, while also preserving or enhancing the ability of the future generations to meet their needs. The chapter deals with customers' willingness to pay for green marketing initiatives. The chapter explores the managerial perspective using a qualitative inquiry using interpretative phenomenology approach. The customers are willing to pay for green initiatives provided 1) the green initiative does not cost a lot of inconvenience, 2) hotel has a good image, 3) customer profile environmental consciousness moderated the relationship between the customer profile and willingness to pay. Recommendations on how to implement the green strategy in hotels are discussed. The direction of future research sections important research areas in green marketing for an academic contribution.

Traditionally, the relationship between the company and its providers have for objective to generate value at the company side in exchange of money. This relationship is largely investigated through the vector of value chain. In this article, security and privacy cocreation (SPCC) is investigated as a specialization of value cocreation. Although it is an important research topic, and despite a plethora of research aiming at depicting the fundamental of SPCC, few contributions have been appeared until now in the area of a language to support SPCC design and deployment. However, such a language is necessary to describe elements of the information system, as well as their underlying dependencies. As a result, this article proposes extending an existing enterprise architecture language to support the process of decision-making and to allow understanding and analysis of the impacts associated to a change of the system architecture as a whole.

Abstract In this article, we raise some methodological questions regarding the study of journalism and gender. We start with the idea that in many studies, researchers tend to think that the relationship between gender and journalism is external, that is, gender and journalism are considered essentially separate phenomena. In such a scenario, journalism appears to be gender neutral. Instead of theoretically keeping journalism and gender apart, we suggest that it is worth studying journalism as a gendered institution with its own history, culture, and social roles. We ask how the understanding of the relationship between journalism and gender may change if different social, cultural, and conventional dimensions of journalism are examined. Our main argument is that journalism and its relationship to gender can be investigated systematically as a multidimensional object that highlights various aspects of both concepts, depending on the specific research focus. Based on our former study, we aim to develop a model for examining these diverse facets of journalism.

The main failure mechanism of in-vessel corium retention through external reactor vessel cooling (IVR-ERVC) happens when the local heat flux through reactor pressure vessel (PRV) wall exceeds the critical heat flux (CHF). High local heat flux in the molten pool is usually caused by the metallic layer focusing effect due to stratification. In this paper, depending on experimental correlations, both the lump parameter method and computational fluid dynamic method are used to investigate the mechanism of focusing effect. The concentration factor varying with the height of metallic layer is studied. The results show that the lump parameter method probably overestimates the wall heat flux of metal layer.

In 3D-system packaging technologies, eutectic bonding is the key technology of multilayer chip stacking and vertical interconnection. Optimized from the aspects of the thickness of the electroplated metal layer, the pretreatment of the wafer surface removes the oxide layer, the mutual alignment between the wafers, the temperature of the wafer bonding, the uniformity of pressure and the deviation of the bonding process. Under the pretreatment conditions of plasma treatment and citric acid cleaning, no oxide layer was obtained on the metal surface. Cu/Sn bumps bonded under the condition of 0.135 Mpa, temperature of 280 °C, Sn thickness of 3–4 μm and a Cu-thickness of five micrometers. Bonded push crystal strength ≥18 kg/cm2, the average contact resistance of the bonding interface is about 3.35 mΩ, and the bonding yield is 100%. All performance indicators meet and exceed the industry standards.
