Reconstruction of realistic economic data often causes social economists to analyze the underlying driving factors in time-series data or to study volatility. The intrinsic complexity of time-series data interests and attracts social economists. This paper proposes the bilateral permutation entropy (BPE) index method to solve the problem based on partly ensemble empirical mode decomposition (PEEMD), which was proposed as a novel data analysis method for nonlinear and nonstationary time series compared with the T-test method. First, PEEMD is extended to the case of gold price analysis in this paper for decomposition into several independent intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), from high to low frequency. Second, IMFs comprise three parts, including a high-frequency part, low-frequency part, and the whole trend based on a fine-to-coarse reconstruction by the BPE index method and the T-test method. Then, this paper conducts a correlation analysis on the basis of the reconstructed data and the related affected macroeconomic factors, including global gold production, world crude oil prices, and world inflation. Finally, the BPE index method is evidently a vitally significant technique for time-series data analysis in terms of reconstructed IMFs to obtain realistic data.

In public transport, traveler dissatisfaction is widespread, due to long waits and travel time, or the low frequency of the service provided. Public transport providers are increasingly concerned about improving the service provided. To improve public transport, detailed knowledge of the network and its weaknesses is necessary. An easy and cheap way to achieve this information is to extract knowledge from the data daily collected in a public transport network. Thus, this chapter focuses on data analysis resulting from the smartcard-based ticketing system. The main objective is to detect patterns of average speed for all days of the week and times of the day, along with pairs of consecutive stops. To perform the analyses, the average speed was deduced from ticketing data, and clustering methods were applied. The results show that it is possible to find segments with similar patterns and identify days and times with similar patterns.

Background: Pain has become a separate complaint or disease, not only as a means of protecting the body or a symptom of other diseases. With increasing age, a person will experience a decrease in physiological functions that can affect the system in the body. Diadynamic currents are part of electrecal stimulation which has a low frequency function to reduce pain. Methods:This is an experimental research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used nonprobability sampling based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data analysis used was non-parametric statistics, namely by using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: Based on the result of the Wilcoxon test showed that the value. Sig. is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. By giving a diadynamic current, the pain felt by someone will be reduced. Conclusion: diadynamic currents can be used to reduce pain

AbstractThe Galactic population of close white dwarf binaries is expected to provide the largest number of gravitational wave sources for low frequency detectors such as the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA). Current data analysis techniques have demonstrated the capability of resolving on the order of 104 white dwarf binaries from a 2 year observation. Resolved binaries are either at high frequencies or large amplitudes. Such systems are more likely to be high-mass binaries, a subset of which will be progenitors of SNe Ia in the double degenerate scenario. We report on results of a study of the properties of resolved binaries using a population synthesis model of the Galactic white dwarf binaries and a LISA data analysis algorithm using Mock LISA Data Challenge tools.
