ABSTRACT We present here the draft genome of Cronobacter sakazakii GP1999, a sequence type 145 strain isolated from the rhizosphere of tomato plants. Assembly and annotation of the genome resulted in a genome of 4,504,670 bp in size, with 4,148 coding sequences, and a GC content of 56.8%.

ABSTRACT We report a de novo-assembled draft genome sequence of the Indian Staphylococcus aureus sequence type 88 (ST88) strain LVP-7, isolated from an ocular infection. The genome harbors a Panton-Valentine leukocidin phage, a type V staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec element, the delta-hemolysin-converting Newman phage ΦNM3, and the pathogenicity island SaPI3, encoding the superantigen enterotoxin B.

The Gram-negative bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa is often multidrug resistant, associated with global epidemic outbreaks, and responsible for significant morbidity and mortality in hospitalized patients. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of BWH047, a multidrug-resistant P. aeruginosa clinical isolate belonging to the epidemic sequence type 235 and demonstrating high levels of colistin resistance.

Escherichia coli sequence type 410 (ST410) is now an international high-risk clone and is responsible for a large number of clinical infections. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of an ST410 clinical isolate harboring multiple bla NDM-5 genes that was obtained from urine culture in China.

ABSTRACT The genome sequence of a uropathogenic Escherichia coli sequence type 420 strain isolated from a patient with urinary tract infection in northern California is described here. The draft genome sequence includes a 4.8-Mb chromosome, accompanied by a 114-kb plasmid containing IncFIB/IncFII/Col156 and a 35-kb plasmid containing IncN3.

ABSTRACTAfter the introduction of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in Malaysia in recent years, the emergence of nonvaccine serotypes is of concern, particularly the antibiotic-resistant strains, with an increase specifically in serotype 15A. Here, we report the draft genome sequence ofStreptococcus pneumoniaestrain SS40_16, isolated from the blood sample of a 19-month-old female in 2016. SS40_16 is a multidrug-resistant strain with resistance to penicillin (MIC, ≥2 µg/ml), tetracycline, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. The strain belongs to serotype 15A and sequence type 1591 (ST1591).

We present here the genome sequence of Escherichia coli O8:H19 strain KCJ852, belonging to multilocus sequence type (MLST) 708, isolated from the uterus of a cow with a bovine postpartum uterine infection known as metritis. Genomic investigation of KCJ852 will help us understand its virulence potential.

We report here the first high-quality draft genome sequence of Pasteurella multocida sequence type 128, which was isolated from the infected finger bone of an adult female who was bitten by a domestic dog. The draft genome will be a valuable addition to the scarce genomic resources available for P. multocida .

We report here the draft genome sequence of the CTX-M-166-harboring O6:H16 sequence type 48 (ST48)- fimH 34 Escherichia coli strain recovered from a Gallus gallus broiler. Sequence analyses revealed the presence of an IncI1/ST103-IS Ecp1 - bla CTX-M-166 - orf477 plasmid region and of diverse antibiotic resistance and virulence-acquired genes.
