We report here the draft genome sequence of the bacteriocin producer Enterococcus faecium strain L-3, isolated from a probiotic preparation, Laminolact, which is widely used in the Russian Federation. The draft genome sequence is composed of 74 contigs for a total of 2,643,001 bp, with 2,646 coding genes. Five clusters for bacteriocin production were found.

ABSTRACT A thermophilic methanogen was enriched in coculture from Washburn Hot Springs (Yellowstone National Park, USA), grown on carbon dioxide and hydrogen, and subsequently sequenced. The reconstructed 1.65-Mb genome sequence for Methanothermobacter thermautotrophicus WHS contributes to our understanding of hydrogenotrophic, CO2-reducing methanogenesis in geothermal ecosystems.

Here, we present the draft genome sequence of Deinococcus sp. strain S9, a red-pigmented and moderately thermophilic bacterium isolated from microbial mat deposits around the hot springs at Manikaran, Himachal Pradesh, India. The draft genome (3.34 Mb) contains 101 contigs with an average GC content of 66.4%.

We describe here the 7.0-Mb draft genome sequence of Rhodococcus qingshengii strain TA37, which was obtained from samples of nitrile-contaminated soil collected in the Saratov Region (Russian Federation). This genomic resource will support the further development of biocatalysts for the inexpensive and green production of acrylic monomers.

ABSTRACT Serratia marcescens is a frequent cause of health care-associated infections and has led to multiple outbreaks. Here, we report the draft genome of a multidrug-resistant S. marcescens strain 189 which was isolated in 2012 as a predominant clone in a neonatal hospital in Kemerovo.

Here, we report the complete genome sequence (3.97 Mb) of “ Halomonas chromatireducens ” AGD 8-3, a denitrifying bacterium capable of chromate and selenite reduction under extreme haloalkaline conditions. This strain was isolated from soda solonchak soils of the Kulunda steppe, Russian Federation.
