ABSTRACT Corynebacterium diphtheriae has caused multiple isolated diphtheria cases in Malaysia over the years. Here, we report the first draft genome sequences of 15 Malaysia C. diphtheriae clinical isolates collected from the years 1981 to 2016.

ABSTRACT Campylobacter jejuni is the pathogen most commonly associated with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). The present work describes the draft genome sequences of 3 C. jejuni strains, BD39, BD67, and BD75, isolated from stool specimens of patients with C. jejuni-triggered GBS using Illumina technologies.

To date, Veillonella tobetsuensis has been known as an oral anaerobe and a facilitator of early-stage oral biofilm development with streptococci. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of 2 strains of V. tobetsuensis first isolated from intraoperative bronchial fluids of elderly patients with pulmonary carcinoma.

Campylobacter jejuni is a major foodborne pathogen that plays an important role in spreading drug resistance. We report the draft genome sequences of two multidrug-resistant C. jejuni isolates which contained similar mutations in the CmeR box. This will improve the understanding of C. jejuni antimicrobial resistance and genetic characteristics.

ABSTRACT Recently, we reported the draft genome sequence of Streptococcus gallolyticus NTS31106099. It was found to contain a previously unknown putative Tn916-like conjugative transposon, Tn6263. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of two other clinical isolates, NTS31301958 and NTS31307655. Both of them contain another novel element, Tn6331, which is highly similar to Tn6263.

Draft genome sequences of Corynebacterium macginleyi CCUG 32361T and clinical isolates NML 080212 and NML 120205 were assembled and studied. Genome sizes ranged from 2.35 Mb to 2.42 Mb, with G+C contents ranging from 57.1% to 57.2%.

We sequenced the genomes of eight isolates from various regions of the United States. These isolates form a monophyletic cluster clearly related to but distinct from Vibrio cholerae.

The development of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii is of serious concern in the hospital setting. Here, we report draft genome sequences of 11 A. baumannii isolates that were isolated from a single patient over a 65-day period, during which time the isolates exhibited increased antimicrobial resistance.
