Ambiguities of jet algorithms are reinterpreted as instability wrt small variations of input. Optimal stability occurs for observables possessing property of calorimetric continuity (C-continuity) predetermined by kinematical structure of calorimetric detectors. The so-called C-correlators form a basic class of such observables and fit naturally into QFT framework, allowing systematic theoretical studies. A few rules generate other C-continuous observables. The resulting C-algebra correctly quantifies any feature of multijet structure such as the "number of jets" and mass spectra of "multijet substates." The new observables are physically equivalent to traditional ones but can be computed from final states bypassing jet algorithms which reemerge as a tool of approximate computation of C-observables from data with all ambiguities under analytical control and an optimal recombination criterion minimizing approximation errors.

In the work there are presented results of studies on the validation of the gas chromatographic (GC) methodfor the determination of chlorothalonil residue amounts in peaches with the use of electron capture detector (ECD). For the analytical control there was selected such stone fruit crop as the peach, referring to the crops, the most contaminated with residue amounts ofpesticides. There was justified the necessity of the inclusion in the procedure of the detection of the method of confirmation, based on mass spectrometry detection (MSD) (the type of ionization - electron impact). The significant source of the obtaining of incorrect data in the identification with the use of ECD of ions are shown to be phthalates, visualized in the chromatogram as intense and/or broad peaks. Mass spectra of compounds of the class ofphthalates are characterized by the dominant peak of the ion with the value of (mass/ charge) 149, just on this peak the detection of low molecular weight phthalates occurs in various matrices, on the spectrum there are also recorded typical ions corresponding to fragments of radical residues. The combination of the use of various types of the detection allows to prove that the revealed response (detector signal) is caused just by the analyte, but not the impurities, and optionally to optimize chromatographic conditions towards to the obtaining reliable results. The lower limit of the quantitation of chlorothalonil in peach fruits accounts for 0.01 mg/kg, determined with a signal/noise ratio of 10. The range of measured concentrations is volatile between 0.01-0.1 mg/kg, recovery rate of chlorothalonil from samples of peaches, established according to results of the analysis of model samples with the introduction of the substance in four points along the detection range, was 84-102%, the SD value of the repeatability varies in the range of 2.0-5.8%.

The success of the theory of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in describing processes controlled by the strong interaction is generally seen as a triumph of modern particle physics. This paper reviews recent QCD measurements using hadronic jet final states from the Fermilab Tevatron, DESY's HERA, and CERN's LEP colliders. Recent advancements in the measurements of jet production cross sections, events shapes, and energy flow, along with improved theoretical calculations, allow for new levels of precision in the study of the physics of strong interactions and point to areas in need of further refinement.

The effect of isoscalar S-wave processes [Formula: see text] is considered in the analysis of data (from the ARGUS, CLEO, CUSB, Crystal Ball, Belle, BABAR collaborations) on the bottomonia decays — [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text]). It is shown that the dipion mass spectra of these decays are explained by the unified mechanism related to the contribution of the multichannel [Formula: see text] scattering in the final states of these reactions. Since in the analysis the multichannel [Formula: see text]-scattering amplitudes did not change in comparison with the ones in our combined analysis of data on the multichannel [Formula: see text] scattering and on the charmonia decays — [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] (from the Crystal Ball, DM2, Mark II, Mark III, and BES II) — the results confirm all our earlier conclusions on the scalar mesons.
