According to the International Energy Agency’s estimation, Indian primary energy demand is expected to increase by about 1250 Mtoe and 1500 Mtoe by 2030. The 3 M management concept now changed into a 4 M management concept that includes energy management. In the case of energy management, the electrical energy sector assumes critical importance. An energy cost occupies nearly 30-40% of the production cost in small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs). Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has initiated a separate energy efficiency intervention to the SME’s, where the energy-efficient technologies, operational procedures, and proper awareness programs to SMEs are stated. This paper discusses the complete electrical energy audit on a small-scale Siddha and Ayurveda medicine industry. The traditional medicine manufacturing technologies make the process complex (process loads are intermittent/interlinked) during analysis. Hence, the detailed energy auditing/conservation studies on the power factor/harmonics were carried out without affecting Indian traditional medicine manufacturing technology. The postauditing design and installation of an intelligent controller by considering the intermittent/interlinked loads are carried out, and the effectiveness of the intelligent controller is ascertained with the energy conservation and the carbon emission reduction of SME. In addition, the climate change mitigation is ensured through the design and deployment of grid-interactive rooftop solar photovoltaic power plant using Solar Pro v4.5 (Photovoltaic System simulation software) with the power analysis, economic analysis and life cycle carbon emission of the proposed plant. The proposed solar photovoltaic power plant ensures energy self-sufficiency and sustainable energy utilization by carbon emission reduction on electricity utilization of SMEs.

Solar energy is going to be a major component of global energy generation. Loss due to dust deposition has raised a great concern to the investors in this field. Pre-estimation of this reduced generation and hence the economic loss will help the operators’ readiness for efficient and enhanced economic energy management of the system. In an earlier article, a physics–based model is proposed for assessment of dust accumulation under various climatic conditions which is validated by data of a single location. In this paper, the universality of this model is established and is used to demonstrate the effect of generation loss due to dust deposition and of cleaning. Variation in the soiling pattern due to climatic covariates has also been studied. Generation loss is calculated for Solar Photovoltaic power plants of different capacities at various locations in India. Finally this model has also been extended to predict the generation accounting for the soiling loss in Photovoltaic system. All the calculated and predicted results are validated with the measured values of the above plants.

Research on the conditions of solar photovoltaic grid connected power generation, research the form of converting solar energy into electrical energy generating.This paper introduces the solar photovoltaic system components, advantages and disadvantages as well as the current domestic solar photovoltaic power generation application status, prospect the development of the trend in the future, according to the analysis of the present problems. And relying on Tianjin CNOOC oil development group of Yingkou natural gas terminal 330KW solar photovoltaic power generation demonstration projects are introduced. For the photovoltaic CNOOC Yingkou terminal-station problems presents the feasibility scheme and suggestion.

Energy Management Concept as part of Green Building Concept is focused to Improve Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) and Water Consumption Index (WCI). The Implementation Energy Management Concept in an office buildings of this study based on the management system model of continual improvement ISO 50001:2011. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the implementation of green building principles in Office Buildings. This study took the case study in an office building in Jakarta Indonesia that has two towers, each tower has 32 floors and 3 basement floors. The method used is descriptive with respect to GREENSHIP Rating Tools for existing building which consists of six categories; Appropriate Site Development (ASD), Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EEC), Water Conservation (WAC), Material Resources & Cycle (MRC), Indoor Air Health & Comfort (IHC) and Building & Environments Management (BEM). The results show that implementation the Energy Management Concept could also made energy performance more efficient, after Implementing through Retrofitting of the Chiller System, Recycle Waste Water, Replacement of Conventional lamp to Energy Saving LED and also Training and Education to all employees and tenants. From comparing data research before implementation of Energy Management Concept in 2014 and after Implementation and retrofitting in 2016, 2017 & 2018, it is found that Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) from 238.8 kwh/m2/Years to 134,04kwh/m2/Year and Water Consumption Index (WCI)From 50 liter/person/Day to 27.18 Liter/person/Day. And the saving cost from electricity bill payments is IDR. 466,803,325.67 / month (18%) and roughly will Break Event Point (BEP) for 3.86 Years

Renewable energy as a solar photovoltaic system represents an essential role in improving and promoting energy sustainability in agricultural/aquaculture-related activities. The “Crab Bank” is the program on practicing the caught gravid females of Blue Swimming Crab (BSC) in supporting conditions, allowing them to spawn and then release the zoea and young crabs back to the sea where are in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Onward with the project, many scientific studies assess the BSC stocks condition, evaluate the fishing habitat, and other relevant issues as the energy used in a micro-indoor system as Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). The off-grid solar photovoltaic system is used in the system cause the installed location was near the seaside area. The system’s large size was operating, including solar panels, inverter, charger, and batteries to maintain the AC motor pump, affecting much energy loss in the system. The off-grid solar system design for modular systems is represented in this paper to describe the new structure of the micro modular RAS that reduces cost and increases the solar system’s efficiency in modular concepts comparing the traditional system. The new structure model represents the calculation result in the term of electrical energy and experiment to scale for replacement in the aquaculture area in Rayong or Jantaburi in the EEC region. This research is a cooperation between KMUTNB Rayong and the Provincial Energy Office Of Rayong.

Managing operations in manufacturing industry has progressed significantly over the years due to customer requirements. Globalization and environmental awareness have force firm's operations to align with the direction of environmental management. The importance of carbon emission reduction for environmental management has led firms to adopt low carbon operations practices such as energy management. The emergence of energy management and environmental friendliness principle in business operations have changed the landscape of business competition in the manufacturing industry. Nevertheless, the outcomes and concept remain unclear and availability of limited studies on the specific scope of environmental friendliness have not extensively discussed. As such, the purpose of this chapter is to discuss the environmental friendliness approach in operations from the perspective of manufacturing industry.

Because of increasing energy consumption and severe air pollution in China, solar photovoltaic power generation plants are being deployed rapidly. Owing to various factors such as technology, construction, and imperfection of construction standards, solar photovoltaic systems have certain fire risks. This paper focuses on the fire risks of building-integrated solar photovoltaic buildings, as well as temperature and heat flow density near a photovoltaic system in a fire. Based on FDS simulation results, the influence of different building fires on photovoltaic systems is analysed. It is found that the influence of fire on photovoltaic systems installed on a building with a flat roof is stronger than that on a system installed on a building with a sloping roof; the influence of fire on a photovoltaic system installed on a building with external wall thermal insulation is stronger than that on a system installed on a building without such insulation; and in the presence of a skylight, a photovoltaic system installed on a building with a sloping roof is more dangerous.
