In this paper, we study some reaction-diffusion models of interactive dynamics of the wild and sterile mosquitoes. The well-posedness of the concerned model is proved. The stability of the steady states is discussed. Numerical simulations are presented to illustrate our theoretical results.

<p>In the literature, several HTLV-I and HIV single infections models with spatial dependence have been developed and analyzed. However, modeling HTLV/HIV dual infection with diffusion has not been studied. In this work we derive and investigate a PDE model that describes the dynamics of HTLV/HIV dual infection taking into account the mobility of viruses and cells. The model includes the effect of Cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) immunity. Although HTLV-I and HIV primarily target the same host, CD$ 4^{+} $T cells, via infected-to-cell (ITC) contact, however the HIV can also be transmitted through free-to-cell (FTC) contact. Moreover, HTLV-I has a vertical transmission through mitosis of active HTLV-infected cells. The well-posedness of solutions, including the existence of global solutions and the boundedness, is justified. We derive eight threshold parameters which govern the existence and stability of the eight steady states of the model. We study the global stability of all steady states based on the construction of suitable Lyapunov functions and usage of Lyapunov-LaSalle asymptotic stability theorem. Lastly, numerical simulations are carried out in order to verify the validity of our theoretical results.</p>

A two-species biological depletion model in a bounded domain is investigated in which one species is a substrate and the other is an activator. Firstly, under the no-flux boundary condition, the asymptotic stability of constant steady-states is discussed. Secondly, by viewing the feed rate of the substrate as a parameter, the steady-state bifurcations from constant steady-states are analyzed both in one-dimensional kernel case and in two-dimensional kernel case. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to illustrate our theoretical results. The main tools adopted here include the stability theory, the bifurcation theory, the techniques of space decomposition and the implicit function theorem.

We consider a diffusive Nicholson's blowflies equation with non-local delay and study the stability of the uniform steady states and the possible Hopf bifurcation. By using the upper- and lower solutions method, the global stability of constant steady states is obtained. We also discuss the local stability via analysis of the characteristic equation. Moreover, for a special kernel, the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation near the steady state solution and the stability of bifurcated periodic solutions are given via the centre manifold theory. Based on laboratory data and our theoretical results, we address the influence of various types of vaccinations in controlling the outbreak of blowflies.

This paper investigates the adaptive - synchronization of the fractional-order chaotic systems with nonidentical structures. Based on the stability of fractional-order systems and adaptive control technique, a general formula for designing the controller and parameters update law is proposed to achieve adaptive - synchronization between two different chaotic systems with different structures. The effective scheme parameters identification and - synchronization of chaotic systems can be realized simultaneously. Furthermore, two typical illustrative numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, for each case, we design the controller and parameter update laws in detail. The numerical simulations are performed to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

The local reaction-diffusion Lengyel-Epstein system with delay is investigated. By choosingτas bifurcating parameter, we show that Hopf bifurcations occur when time delay crosses a critical value. Moreover, we derive the equation describing the flow on the center manifold; then we give the formula for determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to support the analytical results and the chaotic behaviors are observed.

The Kuramoto–Sinelshchikov–Velarde equation describes the evolution of a phase turbulence in reaction-diffusion systems or the evolution of the plane flame propagation, taking into account the combined influence of diffusion and thermal conduction of the gas on the stability of a plane flame front. In this paper, we prove the well-posedness of the classical solutions for the Cauchy problem.

In this paper, a phytoplankton and zooplankton relationship system with two delays is investigated whose coefficients are related to one of the two delays. Firstly, the dynamic behaviors of the system with one delay are given and the stability of positive equilibrium and the existence of periodic solutions are obtained. Using the fact that the system may occur, the stable switching phenomenon is verified. Under certain conditions, the periodic solutions will exist in a wide range as the delay gets away from critical values. Fixing the delay [Formula: see text] in the stable interval, it is revealed that the effect of [Formula: see text] can also cause the vibration of system. This explains that two delays play an important role in the oscillation behavior of the system. Furthermore, using the crossing curve methods, the stable changes of the positive equilibrium in two-delays plane are given, which generalizes the results of systems for which the coefficients do not depend on delay. Some numerical simulations are provided to verify the theoretical results.

In this paper we study the stability analysis of two within-host Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) dynamics models. The incidence rate between the CHIKV and the uninfected monocytes is modeled by a general nonlinear function. The second model considers two types of infected monocytes (i) latently infected monocytes which do not generate CHIKV and (ii) actively infected monocytes which produce the CHIKV particles. Sufficient conditions are found which guarantee the global stability of the positive steady states. Using the Lyapunov function, we established the global stability of the steady states of the models. The theoretical results are confirmed by numerical simulations.

This paper is concerned with the stability of non-Fickian reaction-diffusion equations with a variable delay. It is shown that the perturbation of the energy function of the continuous problems decays exponentially, which provides a more accurate and convenient way to express the rate of decay of energy. Then, we prove that the proposed numerical methods are sufficient to preserve energy stability of the continuous problems. We end the paper with some numerical experiments on a biological model to confirm the theoretical results.
