Distance-based dimensions provide the foreground for the identification of chemical compounds that are chemically and structurally different but show similarity in different reactions. The reason behind this similarity is the occurrence of a set S of atoms and their same relative distances to some ordered set T of atoms in both compounds. In this article, the aforementioned problem is considered as a test case for characterising the (molecular) graphs bearing the fractional metric dimension (FMD) as 1. For the illustration of the theoretical development, it is shown that the FMD of path graph is unity. Moreover, we evaluated the extremal values of fractional metric dimension of a tetrahedral diamond lattice.

Let G = ( V ( G ) , E ( G ) ) be a connected graph. An ordered set W ⊂ V ( G ) is a resolving set for G if every vertex of G is uniquely determined by its vector of distances to the vertices in W. The metric dimension of G is the minimum cardinality of a resolving set. In this paper, we characterize the graphs of metric dimension n − 3 by constructing a special distance matrix, called metric matrix. The metric matrix makes it so a class of graph and its twin graph are bijective and the class of graph is obtained from its twin graph, so it provides a basis for the extension of graphs with respect to metric dimension. Further, the metric matrix gives a new idea of the characterization of extremal graphs based on metric dimension.

The present study was aimed to evaluate the confluence percentage of three oral cell lines, namely primary gingival keratinocytes (PGK), primary gingival fibroblasts (HGF) and tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC-4). All cells have been monitored at different passages for 21 days. Evaluation of confluence percentage reveals the fact that primary gingival keratinocytes and tongue squamous cell carcinoma at small passages requires a period of about two weeks to reach a confluence of approximately 80% while for the gingival fibroblasts a period of about three times smaller is satisfactory.

Root perforation represents an undesirable complication that may lead to an unfavorable prognosis. The aims of this study were to characterize and to compare the presence of calcium oxide (CaO) on the chemical composition of materials used for root perforation therapy: gray and white mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Portland cement (PC), gray MTA+5%CaO and gray MTA+10%CaO. The last two materials were analyzed to evaluate the increase of CaO in the final sample. CaO alone was used as a standard. Eighteen polyethylene tubes with an internal diameter of 3 mm and 3 mm in length were prepared, filled and then transferred to a chamber with 95% relative humidity and a temperature of 37ºC. The chemical compounds (particularly CaO) and the main components were analyzed by energy-dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDX). EDX revealed the following concentrations of CaO: gray MTA: 59.28%, white MTA: 63.09%; PC: 72.51%; gray MTA+5%CaO: 63.48% and gray MTA+10%CaO: 67.55%. The tested materials presented different concentrations of CaO. Even with an increase of 5 and 10% CaO in gray MTA, the CaO levels found in the MTA samples were lower than those found in PC.

Abstract Dendrimers are large and complex molecules with very well defined chemical structures. More importantly, dendrimers are highly branched organic macromolecules with successive layers or generations of branch units surrounding a central core. Topological indices are numbers associated with molecular graphs for the purpose of allowing quantitative structure-activity relationships. These topological indices correlate certain physico-chemical properties such as the boiling point, stability, strain energy, and others, of chemical compounds. In this article, we determine hyper-Zagreb index, first multiple Zagreb index, second multiple Zagreb index, and Zagreb polynomials for hetrofunctional dendrimers, triangular benzenoids, and nanocones.

In Indonesia agriculture practice often used the large scale pesticide application such as insecticide, herbicide, and fungicide. The wide use of toxic pesticide has created numerous problem in increasing environtmental hazard to human and to other animals. Many of soil bacteria had important role to degrading chemical compounds into simpler compounds as a bioremediation agent. The aim of this study was to screen the Chlorantraniliprole tolerant bacteria using soil mineral medium with Prevathon pesticide addition, also teo identificate the species of bacteria. This research was conducted at Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. The research was done in three analysis, (1) bacteria test on Prevathon pesticide addition to mineral medium treatment, (2) characterization of bacteria, (3) Identification of pesticide tolerant bacteria with BD BBL Crystal Enteric/Non FermenterID Kit. The results showed that mineral medium with the addition of pesticides Prevathon treatment able to provide a significant different effect on the enrichment stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 (P<0.05), there was 5 isolates pesticide tolerant bacteria that isolated from Baturiti Tabanan cultivated soil that was BSP 1, BSP 2, BSP 3 known as gram negative bacteria, and BSP 4, BSP 5 known as Gram positive bacteria, pesticide tolerant bacteria identified as Serratia marcescens which is a Gram negative bacteria group and may cause pathogenic.

The plant of the genus Pterodon (Fabaceae, Leguminosae), commonly known as 'sucupira' or 'faveira', are disseminated throughout the central region of Brazil and has frequently been used in popular medicine for its anti-rheumatic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties. In recent years, interest in these plants has increased considerably. The biological effects of different phytoextracts and pure metabolites have been investigated in several experimental models in vivo and in vitro. The literature describes flavonoids, triterpene and steroids, while one paper presented studies with proteins isolated from the genus. This review provides an overview of phytochemical and pharmacological research in Pterodon, showing the main chemical compounds studied to date, and focusing on the relationship between these molecules and their biological activity. Furthermore, this study paves the way for more in-depth investigation, isolation and characterization of the molecules of this plant genus.

Orange trees in Brazil are often burned as a means of eradication when they become infected with Huanglongbing disease. Rather than destroying them, which is a low-value proposition, one potential option is to utilize the biomass through pyrolysis. In this preliminary work, orange trees (Citrus sinensis) otherwise selected for purging, were sampled and pyrolyzed at 500 °C, and the charcoal and bio-oil were evaluated for potential value-added use. The results showed that the pyrolysis process resulted in 26.3% charcoal, 57.6% bio-oil, and 16.0% non-condensable gases. Qualitative analysis of the bio-oil by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry found 178 chemical compounds; however, only 25% of those compounds could be reliably identified. Potential applications of the compounds identified in the bio-oil were determined by examining the published literature, and it was found that at least 73% of them showed promise. Finally, initial studies on the immediate analysis of the pyrolysis charcoal showed that it potentially meets the standards set forth for Brazilian domestic use.

Neurotoxic warfare chemical agents (CWA/NA) induce major toxicological effects to the affected personnel. Their increased toxicity justifies the necessity of developing analytical methods for diagnosis and specific medical counter measures. CWA/NA are extremely toxic agents which are subject to international regulations (The Geneva Protocol regarding the prohibition of chemical weapons). Taking into account the ban on human experimenting due to high toxicity, simulators of neurotoxic chemical agents are being used in laboratories. These are analogue chemical compounds which possess the same relevant physical, chemical and pharmacodynamical properties of the corresponding agents, but with lower intrinsical toxicity. The synthesis and toxicological characterization of these simulators of neurotoxic chemical agents allow the laboratory research of these extremely toxic compounds and the unfolding of risk-free antidote studies. This paper proposes the synthesis and toxicological testing of chemical compounds which simulate sarin (4-nitrophenyl isopropyl methylphosphonate - NIMP) and VX (4-nitrophenyl ethyl methylphosphonate - NEMP).

The strong local metric dimension is the development result of a strong metric dimension study, one of the study topics in graph theory. Some of graphs that have been discovered about strong local metric dimension are path graph, star graph, complete graph, cycle graphs, and the result corona product graph. In the previous study have been built about strong local metric dimensions of corona product graph. The purpose of this research is to determine the strong local metric dimension of cartesian product graph between any connected graph G and H, denoted by dimsl (G x H). In this research, local metric dimension of G x H is influenced by local strong metric dimension of graph G and local strong metric dimension of graph H. Graph G and graph H has at least two order.
