<p>These days it has become a common practice for business organizations and individuals to make use of social media for sharing the opinions about the products or the services.  Consumers are also ready to share their views on certain products or commodities.  Thus huge amount of unstructured social media data gets generated day by day. Gradually heap of text data will be formed in many areas like automated business, education, health care, and show business and so on. Opinion mining also referred as sentiment analysis or sentiment classification, deals with mining of the review text and classifying the opinions or the sentiments of that text as positive or negative. In this paper we propose an ensemble classifier model consisting of Support Vector Machine and Artificial Neural Network. It combines the knowledge from two feature sets for sentiment classification. The proposed model shows the acceptable performance in terms of accuracy when compared with the baseline model.</p>

In modern times, ensuring social security has become the prime concern for security administrators. The widespread and recurrent use of social media sites is creating a huge risk for the lives of the general people, as these sites are frequently becoming potential sources of the organization of various types of immoral events. For protecting society from these dangers, a prior detection system which can effectively detect events by analyzing these social media data is essential. However, automating the process of event detection has been difficult, as existing processes must account for diverse writing styles, languages, dialects, post lengths, and et cetera. To overcome these difficulties, we developed an effective model for detecting events, which, for our purposes, were classified as either protesting, celebrating, religious, or neutral, using Bengali and Banglish Facebook posts. At first, the collected posts’ text were processed for language detection, and then, detected posts were pre-processed using stopwords removal and tokenization. Features were then extracted from these pre-processed texts using three sub-processes: filtering, phrase matching of specific events, and sentiment analysis. The collected features were ultimately used to train our Bernoulli Naive Bayes classification model, which was capable of detecting events with 90.41% accuracy (for Bengali-language posts) and 70% (for the Banglish-form posts). For evaluating the effectiveness of our proposed model more precisely, we compared it with two other classifiers: Support Vector Machine and Decision Tree.

Analysis of the odd even-numbered sentiment systems in Bekasi toll using the Naïve Bayes Algorithm, is a process of understanding, extracting, and processing textual data automatically from social media. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of accuracy, recall and precision of opinion mining generated using the Naïve Bayes algorithm to provide information community sentiment towards the effectiveness of the odd system of Bekasi tiolls on social media. The research method used in this study was to do text mining in comments-comments regarding posts regarding even odd oddities on Bekasi toll on Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Facebook. The steps taken are starting from preprocessing, transformation, datamining and evaluation, followed by information gaon feature selection, select by weight and applying NB Algorithm model. The results obtained from the study using the NB model are obtained Confusion Matrix result, namely accuracy of 79,55%, Precision of 80,51%, and Sensitivity or Recall of 80,91%. Thus this study concludes that the use of Support Vector Machine Algorithms can analyze even odd sentiments on the Bekasi toll road.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to understand how business-to-business organizations use social media during the sales process. Design/methodology/approach The meta-synthesis steps methodology (Hoon, 2013) was applied. Findings This study presents a theoretical framework and contributes to improved understanding of how business can use social media in the sales process stages. The results allow identifying stages, discussing the integration between marketing and sales and generating benefits for the organization. Originality/value The proposed framework helps in understanding the previously performed fragmented studies. This study shows that social media use not only influences the sales process stages and increases the benefits to the business but also works as a mediator in the relation between sales process stages and identified benefits.

A large-scale and high-quality training dataset is an important guarantee to learn an ideal classifier for text sentiment classification. However, manually constructing such a training dataset with sentiment labels is a labor-intensive and time-consuming task. Therefore, based on the idea of effectively utilizing unlabeled samples, a synthetical framework that covers the whole process of semi-supervised learning from seed selection, iterative modification of the training text set, to the co-training strategy of the classifier is proposed in this paper for text sentiment classification. To provide an important basis for selecting the seed texts and modifying the training text set, three kinds of measures—the cluster similarity degree of an unlabeled text, the cluster uncertainty degree of a pseudo-label text to a learner, and the reliability degree of a pseudo-label text to a learner—are defined. With these measures, a seed selection method based on Random Swap clustering, a hybrid modification method of the training text set based on active learning and self-learning, and an alternately co-training strategy of the ensemble classifier of the Maximum Entropy and Support Vector Machine are proposed and combined into our framework. The experimental results on three Chinese datasets (COAE2014, COAE2015, and a Hotel review, respectively) and five English datasets (Books, DVD, Electronics, Kitchen, and MR, respectively) in the real world verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework.

<p>Opinion Mining also known as Sentiment Analysis, is a technique or procedure which uses Natural Language processing (NLP) to classify the outcome from text. There are various NLP tools available which are used for processing text data. Multiple research have been done in opinion mining for online blogs, Twitter, Facebook etc. This paper proposes a new opinion mining technique using Support Vector Machine (SVM) and NLP tools on newspaper headlines. Relative words are generated using Stanford CoreNLP, which is passed to SVM using count vectorizer. On comparing three models using confusion matrix, results indicate that Tf-idf and Linear SVM provides better accuracy for smaller dataset. While for larger dataset, SGD and linear SVM model outperform other models.</p>


In this digitized world, the Internet has become a prominent source to glean various kinds of information. In today’s scenario, people prefer virtual reality instead of one to one communication. The Majority of the population prefers social networking sites to voice themselves through posts, blogs, comments, likes, dislikes. Their sentiments can be found/traced using opinion mining or Sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis of social media text is a useful technique for identifying peoples’ positive, negative or neutral emotions/sentiments/opinions. Sentiment analysis has gained special attention by researchers from last few years. Traditionally many machine learning algorithms were used to implement it like navie bays, Support Vector Machine and many more. But to overcome the drawbacks of ML in terms of complex classification algorithms different deep learning-based algorithms are introduced like CNN, RNN, and HNN. In this paper, we have studied different deep learning algorithms and intended to propose a deep learning-based model to analyze the behavior of an individual using social media text. Results given by the proposed model can utilize in a range of different fields like business, education, industry, politics, psychology, security, etc.


Twitter sentiment analysis is a vital concept in determining the public opinions about products, services, events or personality. Analyzing the medical tweets on a specific topic can provide immense benefits in medical industry. However, the medical tweets require efficient feature selection approach to produce significantly accurate results. Penguin search optimization algorithm (PeSOA) has the ability to resolve NP-hard problems. This paper aims at developing an automated opinion mining framework by modeling the feature selection problem as NP-hard optimization problem and using PeSOA based feature selection approach to solve it. Initially, the medical tweets based on cancer and drugs keywords are extracted and pre-processed to filter the relevant informative tweets. Then the features are extracted based on the Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and the optimal features are selected using PeSOA whose results are fed as input to three baseline classifiers to achieve optimal and accurate sentiment classification. The experimental results obtained through MATLAB simulations on cancer and drug tweets using k-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Naïve Bayes (NB) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) indicate that the proposed PeSOA feature selection based tweet opinion mining has improved the classification performance significantly. It shows that the PeSOA feature selection with the SVM classifier provides superior sentiment classification than the other classifiers


The main objective of this paper is Analyze the reviews of Social Media Big Data of E-Commerce product’s. And provides helpful result to online shopping customers about the product quality and also provides helpful decision making idea to the business about the customer’s mostly liking and buying products. This covers all features or opinion words, like capitalized words, sequence of repeated letters, emoji, slang words, exclamatory words, intensifiers, modifiers, conjunction words and negation words etc available in tweets. The existing work has considered only two or three features to perform Sentiment Analysis with the machine learning technique Natural Language Processing (NLP). In this proposed work familiar Machine Learning classification models namely Multinomial Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree Classifier, and, Random Forest Classifier are used for sentiment classification. The sentiment classification is used as a decision support system for the customers and also for the business.
