Abstract This paper examines the role of love in Xenophon’s Cyropaedia. I argue that an essential aspect of Cyrus’ knowledgeable rule is a specific understanding of eros and a corresponding strategy to cope with the power of love. Specifically, I contend that by exploiting a common Greek distinction between the beloved and the lover, he articulates the view that lovers are subjects or even slaves to their beloved who deceive themselves into thinking that their attraction and the ensuing behaviors are voluntary. Accordingly, Cyrus attempts to avoid falling in love and to rule as a universally beloved leader. Reflecting on the implications of this solution, I finally suggest that Xenophon wishes to show the limits of Cyrus’ solution.

Christ’s healing of humanity consists, crucially, in forming human beings for loving relationship with himself and others. In this respect, Christ also takes the role of the beautiful beloved. Believers become pilgrims by falling in love with the beautiful Christ by the initiative of the Holy Spirit, who cleanses their eyes to see him as beautiful and enkindles desire in their hearts. By desiring and loving the beautiful Christ, the believer is conformed to him and learns to walk his path. Desiring the beautiful Christ forms a believing community shaped aesthetically and morally for a particular way of life: pilgrimage to the heavenly homeland. Formation is both earthly and eschatological, for so too is the journey and the activity of the pilgrim.

"In studies of charismatic movements, an essential aspect is often overlooked: any authentic religion requires assumption by faith, (to have no other Gods other than Me!). Or precisely this kind of mentality is promoted in the charismatic movements, of spiritual openness, which is willing to give credit to everything, is specific to culture, not religion. The religious dimension of the charismatic believer is of the syncretic type, unity in diversity, not of assumption, but based on the notion of option, and not on dogma, which leads him to donjuanism. Or it is precisely this danger that is underlined by St. Gregory Senaite, who warns us not to receive, if we see, anything sensitive or intelligible, inside or outside, whether it appears to you in the image of Christ, as an angel or a saint, or if it is shown to you as a light. For the mind itself has the ability to imagine things and can change, beware of receiving or rejecting those that do not know for sure come from the Holy Ghost. The problem of discerning between truth and lie, spiritual or devilish work, is the purpose of this scientific approach. The diverse plethora of charismatic offerings, as well as the interference with traditional Christianity, make us, like Pilate, ask: what is the Truth? or, rather, how can the Truth be distinguished among so many truths?"

Barry Hill and Sarah H Annesley discuss the importance of monitoring respiratory rate and why it is a crucial clinical skill This article will introduce Respiratory Rate and the role of adequate respiration, as well as explore respiratory rate monitoring as an essential aspect of nursing care. It will also give rationale to the importance of respiratory rate monitoring as a clinical skill and introduce normal and abnormal respiration rates and patterns. Furthermore, it will provide a ‘how to’ guide on respiratory rate monitoring and use contemporary evidence-based literature to underpin respiratory rate monitoring for clinical practice.

This paper presents different views on self-regulation in the process of learning. What is shown is the model in which self-regulation is treated as the interaction of processes connected to personality, behavioral and contextual processes. The regulation processes are organized in several phases, and within each phase self-regulatory activities are structured in different fields. Special attention is paid to the application of strategies - cognitive, meta-cognitive, motivational and strategies of resource management. As a critical component of self-regulation, the monitoring and the steps it consists of were discussed in more detail. The emphasis is on the role of feedback in monitoring, as well as on the wider significance it has for self-regulation in the process of learning. Since orientation towards the goal is considered an essential aspect of self-regulation, what was performed was the analysis of the results and implications of different researches of the relation of pupils? orientations towards the goals with regulation of the process of learning. The possibilities for encouraging self-regulation in the tuition process were considered. By enabling pupils to make decisions, set their own goals, perform the choice and plan and organize their activities, the development of self-regulation and autonomy is encouraged. The guidelines for planning the training aimed towards the development of strategy behavior in pupils are stated. What is presented are the different methods which are applied within the model and interventions in tuition directed towards encouragement of self-regulation.

Simple chiral proligands have been synthesized from inexpensive chiral starting materials. These amidate and ureate ligands support zirconium complexes that successfully catalyze intramolecular hydroamination with up to 26% ee. Several elements necessary for successful ligand design are highlighted and discussed. In particular, the strict control of metal geometry through multidentate tethered ligands is determined to be an essential aspect of future ligand development.

In digital forensics, maintaining the integrity of digital exhibits is an essential aspect of the entire investigation and examination process, which is established using the technique of hashing. Lack of knowledge, while handling digital exhibits, might lead to unintentional alteration of computed hash, rendering the exhibit unacceptable in the court of Law. The hash value of a physical drive does not solely depend upon the data files present in it but also its file-system. Therefore, any change to the file-system might result in the change of the disk hash, even when the data files within it remain untouched. In this paper, our objective is to study the role of file-system in modification of the hash value. We examine and analyse the changes in the file-system of a NTFS formatted USB storage device, which leads to modification in its hash value when the device is plugged-in to the computer system without using write-blocker. The outcome of this research would justify the importance of write blockers while handling digital exhibits and also substantiate that the alteration in hash value of a storage device might not be an indication that data within the device has been tampered with.

Recognizing what the selected words mean and how to integrate these words together to compose significant sentences in many different ways are related to the role of grammar. Grammar, on one hand, is regarded as an essential aspect in writing any text since it provides information that assists the reader's understanding. The correct order of words actually gives wider sense of any proposed languagtical rules, no matter what, the sum of all the words in these languages have their own specialis grammar. From across the grammar, writing plays an important role in developing and strengthening learning process of the language. Therefore, this paper is an endeavor to display the grammar`s role as an influential factor in improving students` writing that is going to be tackled and discussed. Keywords: Language, Grammatical Construction, Communication Processes, Grammatical Errors.

As the silver tsunami continues, assessing and intervening with older adult drivers are becoming an essential aspect of the comprehensive geriatric exam. The current lack of time efficient clinical guidelines is a concern and barrier for NPs. The purpose of this study was to identify strategies currently used by NPs. The critical incident technique was used to obtain data from a convenience sample of NPs. A total of 89 incidents were collected. The perspective of the NP can provide important information for developing clinical guidelines to promote individual and community safety.

Physical fitness is an essential aspect of life. The role of physical fitness in living life is limited to athletes and society in general. For workers, having a fit body will increase productivity because they do not feel tired quickly. Good physical fitness is supported by good endurance as well. However, endurance does not play a single role in supporting physical activity. Having good endurance is indeed beneficial and is a must for individuals involved in activities or work that take a long time. Please note that every activity or work has specific targets that must be completed. Other aspects must be possessed in order to become an individual with complete physical fitness. The demands of the quality of physical fitness in the general public certainly cannot be equated with athletes' standards. For the general public, not getting tired of doing work and meeting the targets given by the institution where they work is already extraordinary.
