The current study focused on the definition of electronic training and the importance of electronic training in the health organizations. The study main objective was to study the most significant factors that are affecting the electronic training application in the health organizations. The researcher used both a descriptive and analytical methods in her study. A questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection; the questionnaire was divided into two sections. The first section contained questions about general information that included: sex – age- qualification – experience in years – computer skills. The second section dealt with questions related to the study hypothesis. This section consists of four parts as follows: The first part included 11 statements about the reality of the electronic training in the health organizations in the present, which is considered the dependent variable in this study. The second part consists of 15 statements; the third part consists of 13 statements. The fourth part consists of 8 statements. These parts addressed the most significant factors that affected the implementation of the electronic training in the health organizations. These were the independent variables of the study. The questionnaire was distributed to a study sample of (368) employee in the hospital. A (200) questionnaire were collected on a rate of 54%. The Results of the study showed that the infrastructure for the Information technology and the government's tends towards the digital society were the most important factors that primarily affect the possibility of applying the electronic training in the health organizations. The main recommendations of the study were: the need for a support from the high and senior management in the king Abdul Aziz University hospital to adopt the electronic application of the electronic training and manage the resistance of change that many organization faces. The necessity of the electronic training for all the staff on computers skills. Finally, the importance of having a unit for the technical support king Abdul Aziz University hospital.

BACKGROUND Across the globe, Pressure Injury (PI) has been implicated billion costs annually and mortality were 60,000 deaths out of 2.5 million hospitalized patients from complication related to PI. Through avoiding PI will avoid the incidence of other illnesses, decrease the financial costs and improve the quality of life for our patients. OBJECTIVE Therefore, this retrospective study aimed to identify most influential factors which increase the risk of developing pressure injuries among hospitalized patients at a university hospital according to the Waterlow scale. METHODS Data were collected retrospectivity including patients who developed pressure injury during January 2016 to December 2018 were evaluated using Waterlow pressure injury risk assessment tool at King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The analysis was performed in 95% confidence interval using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 23.0 (IBM, Armonk, NY, USA). Ethical approval was obtained from the Institutional Review Board and the Research Ethics Committee. RESULTS Total 272 cases were included in this study. Highest number of cases belong to age group 50 to 64 years, 83 (30.5%). The majority had stage 2 pressure ulcer, 165 (60.7%). The most frequent location of pressure ulcer was ‘back’, 97 (35.7%). History of undergoing major surgery was statistically significantly associated with higher stage of pressure ulcer (p-value .040). The mean Waterlow pressure injury score for all cases was 27.19 ± 13.143. There is a moderate uphill correlation between neurological deficit score and Waterlow PI score was observed, (Correlation coefficient: .447, p. <.001). Multinomial logistic regression analysis revealed increasing age is a significant predictive factor for developing higher stages of pressure ulcer (p .046). CONCLUSIONS This study indicated that major surgery, neurological deficit, low hemoglobin, and increasing age are strong predictors for developing higher stages of pressure injury. Therefore, health care contributors should consider these risks when applying a comprehensive pressure injury management plan.

Deanship of scientific research established by the King Abdulaziz University provides some research programs for its staff and researchers and encourages them to submit proposals in this regard. Distinct research study (DRS) is one of these programs. It is available all the year and the King Abdulaziz University (KAU) staff can submit more than one proposal at the same time up to three proposals. The rules of the DSR program are simple and easy so it contributes in increasing the international rank of KAU. The authors are offered financial and moral reward after publishing articles from these proposals in Thomson-ISI journals. In this paper, multiplayer perceptron (MLP) artificial neural network (ANN) is employed to determine the factors that have more effect on the number of ISI published articles. The proposed study used real data of the finished projects from 2011 to April 2019.

IntroductionThe liaison psychiatry (LP) is a feature used by the psychiatrist in order to improve the management of patients with mental suffering and/or mental disorder admitted to general hospital.ObjectivesTo characterize the epidemiological profile of hospitalized patients at the university hospital of the federal university of Sergipe (HU-UFS) submitted to LP.Methodsretrospective and observational study, through analysis of medical records of patients admitted in the wards of clinical medicine and surgery from the HU-UFS, in the period from January to December 2015, submitted to LP. The information collected fed a specific questionnaire developed by the authors, intended for research of socio-demographic data and clinical profile.Resultsthe frequency of request for IP was of 3.5%, with the majority of applications was performed by clinical medicine (71.2%), while the surgical clinic was responsible for 28.8%. The main reason for the request of LP was the presence of depressive symptoms (49.1%). There was a predominance of females (52.5%) and the mean age was 45.9 ± 14.6 years.ConclusionsThe frequency of request for LP was very low, suggesting a difficulty in the early detection of mental disorders by physicians. This finding points to an underreporting of cases, since the prevalence of depressive symptoms in hospitalized patients is over 50% in this institution.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.
