Universitas Bangka Belitung is currently supplied by electricity from the State Electric Company in 690 kVA. Concerning utilizing renewable energy at Universitas Bangka Belitung, the solar power plant is an alternative energy source that will implement. Therefore it is necessary to design a solar power plant with a monitoring system to be known at any time the performance of the solar power plant. Monitoring is conducted in real-time via a website displaying several photovoltaic parameters, including voltage, current, humidity, temperature, and solar irradiation. From the measurement results obtained environmental parameters for temperature between 26°- 56.4°C, humidity 23.6% RH - 85.6% RH and solar irradiation 4.4 W/m2 - 1281.4 W/m2. The measured voltage of 11.41 - 18.95 volts with the rated current from the load used is 0.05 - 1.5 amperes.

This study investigates the use of an alternative energy source in the production of electric energy to meet the increasing energy requirements, encourage the use of clean energy, and thus reduce the effects of global warming. The alternative energy source used is a mechanical energy by piezoelectric material, which can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, that can convert mechanical energy from pressure forces and vibrations during activities such as walking and traveling into electrical energy. Herein, a pilot device is designed, involving the modification of a bicycle into a stationary exercise bike with a piezoelectric generator, to study energy conversion and storage generated from using the bike. Secondly, the piezoelectric energy harvesting system is used on bicycles as a micro-mobility, light electric utility vehicle with smart operation, providing a novel approach to smart city design. The results show that the energy harvested from the piezoelectric devices can be stored in a 3200 mAh, 5 V battery and power sensors on the bicycle. Moreover, 13.6 mW power can be generated at regular cycling speed, outputting 11.5 V and 1.2 mA. Therefore, the piezoelectric energy harvesting system has sufficient potential for application as a renewable energy source that can be used with low power equipment.

The study of the potential of rice straw was conducted to determine the potential energy of rice straw available as substitute energy sources of coal in Indonesia. The statistical data of rice production Indonesia in 2001-2012, used to analysis of the development potential of rice straw each year. Province are analyzed by 27 provinces have greater rice production of 100,000 tons per year. The analysis showed that the potential of rice straw and potential electrical energy increased by approximately 36.8 % over 12 years, an increase of approximately 3.1 % per year. The potential of rice straw in 27 provinces gained about 91.753 million tons which is equivalent to approximately 50.974 million tons of coal, electrical energy potential of about 382.305 GWh, and the potential power capacity about 43.642 MW. It was concluded that the energy potential of rice straw in 27 provinces in Indonesia is quite large and is increasing every year. Exploiting this potential as a source of electrical energy, can overcome the shortage of electrical energy and can reduce the use of coal in Indonesia.

Abstract Re-Design Stalled Water Pump in Middle Siberut sub-district to be used again by using solar panel as an alternative energy source. Solar Panels used in this re-design are 48 pieces with capacity 200 WP. Energy produced from solar panels is stored in batteries with capacity 48 volts 400 Ah. Electrical equipment used is still alternating voltage, an inverter is needed so that can change the voltage in the same direction produced on solar panels be alternating voltage which will then be used as a source of electrical energy for activate water pump as well as other electrical equipment.

Indonesia is known as the Ring of Fire, nearly about 40% world's geothermal potential located in Indonesia. About 252 geothermal sites in Indonesia spread following the path of volcanic formation which stretches from Sumatra, Java, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, to Maluku. It has total potential of about 27 GWe. Geothermal energy as a renewable energy and environmentally friendly, this large potential needs to be upgraded the contribution to fulfill domestic energy need which is able to reduce Indonesia's dependence on fossil energy sources which are depleting. Potential for geothermal energy is expected to fulfill the target of developing geothermal energy to generate electricity through the Geothermal Power Plant of 6000 MWe in 2020.

Keywords: Geothermal Energy, Electrical Energy, Geothermal Power Plant

One of the alternative energy source that can be developed is the Wind Power Plant. The need for electrical energy that continues to increase, it takes not a little time to build a power plant. System planners must also be able to see the possibilities of the development of the power system in the years to come. Indonesia is a country that has abundant energy resources, one of which is a source of wind energy. Indonesia which is an archipelagic country and one of the countries located on the equator is a factor, that Indonesia has abundant wind energy potential. In this study the output that produced is a renewable energy product, which is a power plant product in the coastal area. In the previous study a low-speed permanent magnet generator has been produced which can be driven by wind turbines which will be continued through the design of vertical type wind turbines. The results of this study can then be developed, especially for electricity generation products in the coastal region. In the process of planning and manufacturing vertical type wind turbines, to produce enough power to meet household electricity needs should be based on several factors that support the effectiveness of the power produced by the turbine, namely: Turbine Dimensions (Length and Blade Width), Material Strength , Shaft, Bearing and Generator Shaft
