Now a days we all are busy in our regular works, holding the burden of works on our shoulder so, with the help of smart home appliances we can get some secure and an easy way to control the home appliances and we can also know the location information of that particular device. These days lot of researchers are focusing their interest on IoT (Internet of Things). The most vital application where IoT is being mostly used is home automation where all the electronic gadgets are connected to the internet via various layers viz, device level, controller level, restful services level, gateway level and finally the cloud layer. Moreover, gigantic information is being produced by the IoT devices. This information has to be processed and stored in a very effective manner so as to control the home appliances from anywhere in the world. Here we control the home appliances through our mobile by the use of IoT. So, we can control our home appliances very easy and fast compared to the manual operation such as on and off of any device. There might be some relief in our daily life that not to bother about whether we switch off the home appliances or not, instead of it we can check the mobile and solve the situations in short period of time.

Internet of Things (IoT) growing at a rate of exponential numbers in recent years has received extensive attention with BlockChain (BC) technology which provide trust to IoT with its immutable nature, decentralization in computing, resource constraints, security and privacy. The distributed ledger of transactions in BC is path leading technology for addressing Cyber Threats in the form of data theft; it provides secure application architecture which has proven track of record for securing data. IoT devices using BC enabled to communicate between objects, share data, decide based on business criteria and act as a medium to securely transmit information. This work provides lightweight BlockChain with two prominent consensus mechanism PoW – Proof of Work and PoS – Proof of Stake for smart IoT devices. Next, Smart Home Device (SMD) is ensures providing best-in-class Security and Privacy for smart home Appliances. Further provides future advances in the Approach.

The aim of the project is to monitor and control the home appliance using IoT with help of the Google voice assistance. The system consists of the Raspberry PI to perform the total operation and Relay for trig the Loads or home appliances. These Home appliances are interlinked with the IoT (internet of things). We can access the loads, control and monitor anywhere in the world. If we adapt this system for any city and urban areas to save energy and sustainable life style. It will provide good communication compare to automated homes and normal homes

With advancement in smart home services on mobile and wearable devices, individual can smartly control his/her home appliances such as fan, refrigerator, TV, air conditioner, etc., in an efficient manner. Internets of Things (IoT) devices are extensively utilized to interchange the data between smart applications, mobiles, and wearables. IoT devices are responsible for monitoring and sensing the data about home appliances with the help of sensor nodes, the obtained data is then communicate to given high-end devices for taking the suitable action. The overall objective of this paper is to study the existing IoT analytics techniques which are used to build smart applications for homes. This paper also discusses the various challenges to design a suitable smart home using IoTs. Thereafter, a comparative analyzes are considered to evaluate the shortcomings of these techniques and various gaps are formulated in the existing techniques. Finally, a methdology has been devised which can overcome the shortcomings of existing models and help enhancing the functioning of human activity recognition in smart homes.

Home Automation Systems (HAS) attracted much attention during the last decade due to the developments in new wireless technologies, such as Bluetooth 4.0, 5G, WiFi 6, etc. In order to enable automation as a service in smart homes, a number of challenges must be addressed, such as fulfilling the electrical energy demands, scheduling the operational time of appliances, applying machine learning models in real-time, optimal human appliances interaction, etc. In order to address the aforementioned challenges and control the wastage of energy due to the lifestyle of the home users, we propose a system for automatically controlling the energy consumption by employing machine and deep learning techniques to smart home networks. The proposed system works in three phases, (1) feature extraction and classification based on 1-dimensional Deep Convolutional Neural Network (1D-DCNN) which extract important energy patterns from the historic energy data, (2) a load forecasting system based on Long-short Term Memory (LSTM) is proposed to forecast the load based on the extracted features in phase 1 and (3) a scheduling algorithm based on the forecasted data obtained from phase 2 is designed to schedule the operational time of smart home appliances. The proposed scheme efficiently automates the smart home appliances to consume less energy while adapting to the lifestyle of smart home users. The validation of the proposed scheme is tested with a number of simulation scenarios incorporating datasets from authentic data sources. The simulation results show that the proposed smart home automation system can be a game-changer in fulfilling the energy demands of the home users without installing renewable and other energy sources in the future.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a developing innovation that makes our reality more intelligent. Now a days, the home security is fundamental as a potential results of interference are growing well ordered. Security has turned into a significant issue everywhere. Using IoT based Smart Home Automation and Scrutiny System , we can monitor home environmental parameters ( such as Temperature, Gas detection, Light Intensity, Humidity, Fire, Motion and Image) and control the appliances . It can identify the people who are in the home, with the assistance of the PIR sensor and camera. If Data is abnormal then authorized persons get notification via e-mail. By using android based apps we can monitor home environmental parameters and control the home appliances. The focus of this paper is to give preferable security system over the present level of security in the home. This system is appropriate for ongoing home security checking and for remotely controlling the home appliances
