SUMMARYNitrous oxide (N2O) misuse is widespread in the UK. Although it is well-known that it can cause devastating myeloneuropathy, psychiatric presentations are poorly described. There is little understanding of who it affects, how it presents, its mechanism of action and principles of treatment. We begin this article with a case study. We then review the literature to help psychiatrists understand this area and deal with this increasing problem, and make diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We describe a diagnostic pentad of weakness, numbness, paraesthesia, psychosis and cognitive impairment to alert clinicians to the need to urgently treat these patients. Nitrous oxide misuse is a pending neuropsychiatric emergency requiring urgent treatment with vitamin B12 to prevent potentially irreversible neurological and psychiatric symptoms.

The desmoid tumor is benign, uncommon, and frequently recurs after excision. It can be confusing in terms of diagnosis and treatment due to its ability to achieve large size, causing functional limitation and/or pain. Its overall clinical characteristics can mimic those of its malignant counterparts. Because of its high rate of recurrence, surgical treatment should include a wide excision around the margins.

Objective: Some remarks  on the diagnosis and treatment of gastric volvulus. Method: Description of cases Results: : A female, 7 years old, acute gastric volvulus was diagnosed and timely surgery. Depression is one of the most prevalent pathologies in older adults. Its diagnosis and treatment are complex due to different factors that intervene in its development and progression, including intercurrent organic diseases, perceptual deficits, use of drugs, and psycho-social conditions associated with the aging process. We present the case of a 75-year-old woman (who lives in the community) with a diagnosis of major depression with more than 10 years of history, analyzing her evolution and therapeutic approach.

Male infertility is very commonly associated with Varicocele, which causes blood pooling, and it inhibits the production and quality of semen. Ayurveda offers a range of medical management opportunities, including Panchakarma chikitsa and Shaman Chikitsa. Viirechana helps to relieve testicular swelling. And other Shukra prasadaka, Shukra shodhaka and Shukrala dravyas have very good impact in the production and function of Shukra dhatu. A single case study has been successfully treated with absolute Ayurveda way of diagnosis and treatment.
