Forest-based exports, particular~y the non-coniferous primary and semi-manufactured products from the tropical countries, have grown rapidly during the past two decades or so. Exports from India have not, however, kept pace. Among other causes, this has also been due to a lack of proper market and product identification. Detailed market studies being an expensive proposition, there is merit in a preliminary selection of countries and commodities on some broad-based and analtytically inexpensive criteria, to be followed by further research work. Since price and income eiasticities are good indicators of import market demand, these are determined here for several advanced countries and various forest-based products. A hypothesised behavioural relationship is first developed and the results are discussed. The potential of Japan as a possible market for forest-based exports from India is confirmed, and France and Italy also emerge as possessing much promise. Despite past ties, neither UK nor USA appears to be the ideal choice for the purpose.

In the past few decades, there has been lot of focus on the issue of sustainability. This has occurred due to the growing concerns related to climate change and the growing awareness about environmental concerns. Also, the competition at global level has led to the search for the most sustainable route in the industries. The current research work deals with the selection of green supplier in a Nickle coating industry based on certain weighted green attributes. For this purpose, a hybrid tool comprising of Fuzzy AHP (Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy) and VIKOR (VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) is used. The Fuzzy AHP is used for assigning proper weights to the selected criteria for supplier evaluation, while VIKOR is used for final supplier selection based on the weighted criteria. The three criterions for green supplier selection are, Ecological packaging, Corporate socio-environmental responsibility and Staff Training. The outcome of the integrated model may serve as a steppingstone to other SMEs in different sectors for selecting the most suitable supplier for addressing the sustainability issue.

AbstractAdditive Manufacturing (AM) processes had an extensively and substantially technological growth over the past years that directly influences the continuously increased and manifold possibilities for processing new and innovative products. However, additively manufactured products mostly are still fabricated with only small adaptions compared to conventional parts, and thus waste many design potentials although specific design guidelines have been widely developed to restrict geometrical deficiencies or suggest improvements in component design.As a result, this contribution furtherly aims to systematically consider AM potentials already on the functional level of product development offering significant but until now still not or just insufficiently exploited potentials. Therefore, the presented approach uses the already proven Design Pattern Matrix (DPM) approach for conventional technologies extended by a concurrent selection of materials and processes specifically for AM. Here, the DPM derives information about the manufacturing process in form of design elements and links them to the function carriers of the product including a methodological determination of requirements.

The aim of this research work is to assess the influence of FDI on economic growth in the CEMAC region. The ratio of FDIs in the actual GDP of countries of the CEMAC region has recorded a steady annual increase for the past three decades. Moreover, the high variability of FDI, given the various crises and fluctuations in the prices of raw materials invites us to reflect and question the impact of FDI on growth by studying the case of CEMAC countries. The theoretical analysis is based on the neoclassical growth theory and its extensions. After the selection of a model crafted from Imoudu (2012) and Boreinsztein et al. (1998). The results show that FDI have a positive impact on the growth of the sub-region and these are conveyed by human capital.

Management control tools are of great importance for any organization, therefore, in this research work, the study of management control tools will be carried out in the operational areas of a logistics facility in the state of Veracruz. , to later develop a measuring instrument. The study proposes to design a measurement instrument based on a Likert scale, converting qualitative information into quantitative data by the researcher, which allows visualization and clarity in determining the ideal tools for the control management of the studied area. The instrument will be applied to the company's experts, since they provide reliable information and provide a reliable scenario. The information is analyzed by the researcher, to later design and define a proposal, a proposal that allows the correct selection of control management tools and comprehensively improve the organization.

The high detection quantum efficiency (DQE) is the main requirement for an imagerecording system used in electron microscopy of radiation-sensitive specimens. An electronic TV system of the type shown in Fig. 1 fulfills these conditions and can be used for either analog or digital image storage and processing [1], Several sources of noise may reduce the DQE, and therefore a careful selection of various elements is imperative.The noise of target and of video amplifier can be neglected when the converter stages produce sufficient target electrons per incident primary electron. The required gain depends on the type of the tube and also on the type of the signal processing chosen. For EBS tubes, for example, it exceeds 10. The ideal case, in which all impinging electrons create uniform charge peaks at the target, is not obtainable for several reasons, and these will be discussed as they relate to a system with a scintillator, fiber-optic and photo-cathode combination as the first stage.

This work interrogates federal character principle (FCP) in Nigeria. The FCP was designed to fundamentally address the striking features of Nigeria politics of intense struggles for power among the different ethnic groups in the country between the elites from the North and their Southern counterparts and the various segments, but the practice of FCP in Nigeria so far raises curiosity and doubts. Given the outcome of the interrogation, this research work discovered and conclude that federal character has not indeed achieve its objective in the Nigeria, the study finds that Ethnocentrism, Elitism, Mediocrity, Mutual suspicion amongst others accounts for some inhibiting factors of the FCP in Nigeria. Like many other provisions of the Constitution, the Federal Character principle was meant to correct some imbalances experienced in the past, but it has created more problems than it has attempted to solve. Rather than promote national unity, it has disunited Nigerians. There is an urgent need to use more of professionals and result oriented Nigerians to carry out national tasks, than to use unprogressive people due to this "Federal character" issue. Nigeria should be a place where one's track records and qualifications are far greater than just "where they come from" or their lineage if Nigerian truly want to progress.

This book lays out a vision for how we should theorize about justice in a diverse society. It shows how free and equal people, faced with intractable struggles and irreconcilable conflicts, might share a common moral life shaped by a just framework. The book argues that if we are to take diversity seriously and if moral inquiry is sincere about shaping the world, then the pursuit of idealized and perfect theories of justice—essentially, the entire production of theories of justice that has dominated political philosophy for the past forty years—needs to change. Drawing on recent work in social science and philosophy, the book points to an important paradox: only those in a heterogeneous society—with its various religious, moral, and political perspectives—have a reasonable hope of understanding what an ideally just society would be like. However, due to its very nature, this world could never be collectively devoted to any single ideal. The book defends the moral constitution of this pluralistic, open society, where the very clash and disagreement of ideals spurs all to better understand what their personal ideals of justice happen to be. Presenting an original framework for how we should think about morality, this book rigorously analyzes a theory of ideal justice more suitable for contemporary times.
