The article describes the design of two devices for implementation the method for determining the linear density of flax fiber. The results of the experiment confirmed the presence of correlation between the linear density of flax fiber in the sample and the time of passing through the sample a portion of the air of specified volume at a given pressure. The proposed method for determining the linear density of flax fibers can be used in laboratories of breeding establishments, enterprises of primary processing and textile industry

The article presents an objective assessment of the extent of economic losses in the flax complex of Russia, including indirect ones, caused by the violation and imperfection of the technologies for growing, harvesting and primary processing of flax, as well as the rationale for minimizing them. It has been established that the most relevant of these methods should include the most complete restoration of the functions of the weakest links in the technological, technical and organizational - economic systems of the flax subcomplex.

In this research contribution, the static behavior and failure mechanisms are developed for a three-dimensional (3D) printed dogbone, auxetic structure and sandwich composite using acoustic emissions (AEs). The skins, core and whole sandwich are manufactured using the same bio-based material which is polylactic acid reinforced with micro-flax fibers. Tensile tests are conducted on the skins and the core while bending tests are conducted on the sandwich composite. Those tests are carried out on four different auxetic densities in order to investigate their effect on the mechanical and damage properties of the materials. To monitor the invisible damage and damage propagation, a highly sensitive AE testing method is used. It is found that the sandwich with high core density displays advanced mechanical properties in terms of bending stiffness, shear stiffness, facing bending stress and core shear stress. In addition, the AE data points during testing present an amplitude range of 40–85[Formula: see text]dB that characterizes visible and invisible damage up to failure.

It can divide the atomization effect in the direction of the nozzle axial injection into the jet area and the non-jet area by using the second crushing theory. On this basis, according to the feed liquid atomization particles discrete degree index of characteristics particle size of feed liquid atomization, it divides the injection zone into the atomization area and the diffusion area, so as to realize the axial direction of jet nozzle injection zone, atomization zone and the diffusion zone accurately. Simulation and experiment are used to verify the three zones of atomization nozzle. The division of three zones drives the study from the whole space of liquid distribution in the roller to atomization zone, clears the key zone of the roller in tobacco primary processing, and provides a basis for further work.
