Motivating medical information system performance by system quality, service quality, and job satisfaction for evidence-based practice

The purpose of this study wants to test the Information System Succes Model through Accounting Software. The test examines the effect of System Quality to Service Quality, the effect of System Quality to Work performance, and the effect of Service Quality to Work Performance. The object in this research is MYOB accounting software. The data gathered with questionnaires in 2 types, paper and online. From 500 questionnaires are distributed, 315 was returned. It consists of 194 respondents through online, and 116 respondents through the paper. The obtained data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling. The result of data analysis showed that the System Quality has a positive significant effect on the Service Quality, Service Quality has a positive significant effect on Work Performance, and System Quality have a positive significant effect on Work Performance. The overall result indicates that MYOB accounting software has good quality and related to user performance. Specifically, the user refers to the basic user, which is a university student.

Saat ini LBH Jakarta telah mengimplementasikan satu aplikasi yang memiliki peran penting dalam menangani pekerjaan-pekerjaan bantuan hukum. Model information system success Delone McLean digunakan untuk menganalisis Sistem Informasi Kasus (SIK) LBH. Terdapat enam variabel yang akan diuji dari yaitu, Information Quality, System Quality, Service Quality, Intention to Use/Use, User Satisfaction, dan Net Benefits. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah, 1) Information Quality mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap Intention to Use/Use; 2) System Quality mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap Intention to Use/Use; 3) Service Quality mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap Intention to Use/Use; 4) Information Quality mempunyai pengaruh postif terhadap User Satisfaction; 5) System Quality mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap User Satisfaction; 6) Service Quality mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap User Satisfaction; 7) Intention to Use/Use mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap Net Benefits; 8) User Satisfaction mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap Net Benefits. Hasil analisis deskriptif terhadap setiap pertanyaan yang ada di dalam variabel penelitian menunjukkan rerata nilai rendah – tinggi. Ditemukan juga dalam penelitian hal yang bertolak belakang dengan analisis data penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Sebagian besar hipotesis yang ditawarkan pada penelitian ini ditolak. Namun, satu hipotesis yang diterima yaitu, Information Quality mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap User Satisfaction. Melihat jumlah hipotesis yang ditolak, pemanfaatan SIK tidak memiliki nilai yang signifikan bagi LBH Jakarta. Hasil wawancara mendukung pembuktian hipotesis tersebut.Kata kunci: Evaluasi, Model Information System Success, DeLone McLean, LBH Jakarta, Sistem Informasi Kasus

Web integrated library system performance is important to evaluate as it is used in managing library activities and holds millions of library records. To have an effective web integrated library system for staff, it is essential for the library to offer high quality systems, service, usage and Internet. This study presents a perception on web integrated library system success factors (system quality, service quality, usage quality and Internet quality) and its relationships with job satisfaction. Questionnaires was distributed to 110 library staff who are using the web integrated library system at academic libraries in Selangor, Melaka, Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang. The analyses are undertaken using SPSS. Descriptive findings show moderate perceptions in four variables (system quality, service quality, usage quality and job satisfaction) where the mean value are in the range 3.18 to 3.45 and low perception in one variable (Internet quality) in range 2.69 on a 5-point Likert. Besides that, the results also indicate a positive and high correlation between job satisfaction with usage quality, moderate correlation between service quality and Internet quality. Meanwhile, the relationship between job satisfaction and system quality is weak. The finding of the study is useful for the library to realize that the success factor of a web integrated library system will contribute to their job satisfaction. As to that, the library should improve their library information system to provide a high quality of library product and services.

A pilot medical information system is being implemented and currently is providing services for limited categories of patient data. In one year, physicians’ diagnoses for 500,000 office visits, 300,000 drug prescriptions for outpatients, one million clinical laboratory tests, and 60,000 multiphasic screening examinations are being stored in and retrieved from integrated, direct access, patient computer medical records.This medical information system is a part of a long-term research and development program. Its major objective is the development of a multifacility computer-based system which will support eventually the medical data requirements of a population of one million persons and one thousand physicians. The strategy employed provides for modular development. The central system, the computer-stored medical records which are therein maintained, and a satellite pilot medical data system in one medical facility are described.
