Identified the problem of increasing the efficiency of the collection device and the processing of information in telemetry monitoring systems and vibration diagnostics. The possibilities of CAD-programs for the calculation of vibro-impact processes and random vibration devices and printed circuit boards. A study of the frequency and random vibration study on the example of the PCB in SolidWorks environment. Abstract purpose, principle of operation, characteristics of the onboard telemetry information «Pyrite» system for measuring the parameters of aircraft, which are characterized by different phases and the duration of the flight telemetered site; It shows that the «Pyrite» equipment can be effectively used for the integrated telemetry information slowly evolving processes and rapidly changing processes of aircraft.

Blood sample collection and rapid separation—critical preanalytical steps in clinical chemistry—can be challenging in decentralized collection settings. To address this gap, the Torq™ zero delay centrifuge system includes a lightweight, hand-portable centrifuge (ZDrive™) and a disc-shaped blood collection device (ZDisc™) enabling immediate sample centrifugation at the point of collection. Here, we report results from clinical validation studies comparing performance of the Torq System with a conventional plasma separation tube (PST). Blood specimens from 134 subjects were collected and processed across three independent sites to compare ZDisc and PST performance in the assessment of 14 analytes (K, Na, Cl, Ca, BUN, creatinine, AST, ALT, ALP, total bilirubin, albumin, total protein, cholesterol, and triglycerides). A 31-subject precision study was performed to evaluate reproducibility of plasma test results from ZDiscs, and plasma quality was assessed by measuring hemolysis and blood cells from 10 subject specimens. The ZDisc successfully collected and processed samples from 134 subjects. ZDisc results agreed with reference PSTs for all 14 analytes with mean % biases well below clinically significant levels. Results were reproducible across different operators and ZDisc production lots, and plasma blood cell counts and hemolysis levels fell well below clinical acceptance thresholds. ZDiscs produce plasma samples equivalent to reference PSTs. Results support the suitability of the Torq System for remotely collecting and processing blood samples in decentralized settings.

Abstract External urinary collection devices (EUCDs) may reduce indwelling catheter usage and catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs). In this retrospective quasi-experimental study, we demonstrated that EUCD implementation in women was associated with significantly decreased indwelling catheter usage and a trend (P = .10) toward decreased CAUTI per 1,000 patient days.

Macro charged jet molding combines with Rapid Prototyping and electrospinning together, it solved the problem of insufficient forming precision with RP molding and the difficulty of collection with electrospinning which caused by highly injection speed and small diameter. This article talks about Macro charged jet phenomena of PEO solution and its influence factors through experiment, detected diameter of the shoot fluid by using microscope, measured micro-injection speed by using the rotating disk with linear motion collection device, achieved orderly collection of Macro charged jet with different diameter and injection speed.

Abstract Airborne salt accelerates the corrosion of steel materials and, thus, must be quantitatively evaluated for the management of steel structures. In Japan, the dry gauze method, which uses a gauze embedded in a wooden frame, is often used to evaluate the amount of airborne salt. However, its collection efficiency for salt particles has not been verified owing to the complex airflows around the device. Therefore, as a first step to clarify the collection efficiency, the authors simulated the flow field around the collection device using computational fluid dynamics. In this study, the gauze was modeled as a porous medium to reduce the computational costs. Wind tunnel tests were performed to obtain the pressure loss coefficients of the gauze, which is necessary for the porous media method. Subsequently, particle tracking was performed in the calculated flow field, and the collection efficiency was evaluated under the condition of a filtration efficiency of 100%. The flow fields around the device were accurately reproduced using the porous media model, which considered both the tangential and normal resistances of the gauze. This result suggests that the tangential resistance must be considered in the porous media model when the porosity of an object is small, even if the thickness is small. The dependence of collection efficiency on wind speed and direction was quantitatively evaluated. The results showed that the collection efficiency was greatly affected by the complicated flow field around the device due to the combination of the gauze and wooden frame.
