Yearly generation maintenance scheduling (GMS) of generation units is important in each system such as combined heat and power (CHP)-based systems to decrease sudden failures and premature degradation of units. Imposing repair costs and reliability deterioration of system are the consequences of ignoring the GMS program. In this regard, this research accomplishes GMS inside CHP-based systems in order to determine the optimal intervals for predetermined maintenance required duration of CHPs and other units. In this paper, cost minimization is targeted, and violation of units’ technical constraints like feasible operation region of CHPs and power/heat demand balances are avoided by considering related constraints. Demand-response-based short-term generation scheduling is accomplished in this paper considering the maintenance intervals obtained in the long-term plan. Numerical simulation is performed and discussed in detail to evaluate the application of the suggested mixed-integer quadratic programming model that implemented in the General Algebraic Modeling System software package for optimization. Numerical simulation is performed to justify the model effectiveness. The results reveal that long-term maintenance scheduling considerably impacts short-term generation scheduling and total operation cost. Additionally, it is found that the demand response is effective from the cost perspective and changes the generation schedule.


One of the main challenge in cloud is Cost Optimization. In cloud computing, the cloud providers usually calls CSP offer provisioning plans for the cloud consumers in the following two ways one is reservation plan(also referred as long term plan) and the other is on-demand plan(also referred as short term plan). In general, cost of computing asset provisioned by reservation plan is cheaper when compared to cost obtained by the on-demand plan, With the reservation plan, the consumer can reduce the total asset provisioning cost since cloud consumer has to pay to provider in advance. However, the best advance reservation of assets is difficult to be accomplish due to uncertainty of cloud consumer’s future demand and providers’ resource prices. To address this problem, an OCRP algorithm is proposed by formulating a SPI model. The OCRP algorithm can provision computing assets for being used in multiple provisioning stages as well as a long-term plan. The demand and price uncertainty is considered in OCRP. In this project, different approaches to obtain the solution of the OCRP algorithm are considered including DEF, SAA and Benders decomposition. Numerical the studies are extensively performed in which the outcomes clearly show that with the OCRP algorithm, cloud consumer can successfully minimize total cost of asset provisioning in cloud computing environments

In order to better manage demand response resources of user side and reduce short-term load forecasting error, a short-term load forecasting method considering demand response in virtual power plant mode is proposed. Firstly, the demand response mechanism of the virtual power plant is analyzed. Taking the maximum profit of the virtual power plant as the goal, considering the user’s energy consumption habits, self built photovoltaic, energy storage behavior and thermal electric coupling, the optimization model is established for each type of demand response resources. The CPLEX solver is called to solve the mixed integer linear programming problem after the model transformation, and the sub signals of each resource participating in the demand response are obtained. Then, based on this model, a long-term and short-term memory network model considering demand response signals is established to predict load power iteratively. At the same time, the long-term and short-term memory network model considering the demand response signals effectively makes up for the shortcomings of the traditional forecasting model without considering the demand response, and is more accurate in predicting the future trend of load change.

Previous short term toxicological studies of one to two weeks duration have demonstrated that MDL 19,660 (5-(4-chlorophenyl)-2,4-dihydro-2,4-dimethyl-3Hl, 2,4-triazole-3-thione), an antidepressant drug, causes a dose-related thrombocytopenia in dogs. Platelet counts started to decline after two days of dosing with 30 mg/kg/day and continued to decrease to their lowest levels by 5-7 days. The loss in platelets was primarily of the small discoid subpopulation. In vitro studies have also indicated that MDL 19,660: does not spontaneously aggregate canine platelets and has moderate antiaggregating properties by inhibiting ADP-induced aggregation. The objectives of the present investigation of MDL 19,660 were to evaluate ultrastructurally long term effects on platelet internal architecture and changes in subpopulations of platelets and megakaryocytes.Nine male and nine female beagle dogs were divided equally into three groups and were administered orally 0, 15, or 30 mg/kg/day of MDL 19,660 for three months. Compared to a control platelet range of 353,000- 452,000/μl, a doserelated thrombocytopenia reached a maximum severity of an average of 135,000/μl for the 15 mg/kg/day dogs after two weeks and 81,000/μl for the 30 mg/kg/day dogs after one week.

Objectives School-age children with and without parent-reported listening difficulties (LiD) were compared on auditory processing, language, memory, and attention abilities. The objective was to extend what is known so far in the literature about children with LiD by using multiple measures and selective novel measures across the above areas. Design Twenty-six children who were reported by their parents as having LiD and 26 age-matched typically developing children completed clinical tests of auditory processing and multiple measures of language, attention, and memory. All children had normal-range pure-tone hearing thresholds bilaterally. Group differences were examined. Results In addition to significantly poorer speech-perception-in-noise scores, children with LiD had reduced speed and accuracy of word retrieval from long-term memory, poorer short-term memory, sentence recall, and inferencing ability. Statistically significant group differences were of moderate effect size; however, standard test scores of children with LiD were not clinically poor. No statistically significant group differences were observed in attention, working memory capacity, vocabulary, and nonverbal IQ. Conclusions Mild signal-to-noise ratio loss, as reflected by the group mean of children with LiD, supported the children's functional listening problems. In addition, children's relative weakness in select areas of language performance, short-term memory, and long-term memory lexical retrieval speed and accuracy added to previous research on evidence-based areas that need to be evaluated in children with LiD who almost always have heterogenous profiles. Importantly, the functional difficulties faced by children with LiD in relation to their test results indicated, to some extent, that commonly used assessments may not be adequately capturing the children's listening challenges.
