The Dombrose and Slobin IES A-D test was administered to 20 institutionalized female delinquents and 20 female adolescents institutionalized in a mental hospital. As the two groups differed significantly in impulse control ( P < .01) and Ego strength ( P < .05), the claims of the test authors are generally supported.

The biblical story of Zelophehad's daughters (Numbers 26 and 36, Josh. 17:3-6) and its avatars in talmudic midrashim and modern feminist midrashim are studied from a gender perspective. The biblical story is shown to be ambiguous, in that, on the one hand, its heroines are five impressive women who bring about a change in the law that bene ts certain women, while, on the other hand, it is firmly set in an androcentric patriarchal context whose focus is the survival of the father's name. Even though the biblical story is not feminist, it includes elements that made it possible for the feminist aspect to be raised in the talmudic midrashim (which other general praise for women as compared to men or recognition and acknowledgement of male discrimination against women)—and all the more so in modern feminist midrashim that present the five women as possessing a well-developed feminist consciousness and as a positive model of sisterhood.

This article looks at the new co-ordination Regulation 883/04 from a gender perspective. The focus is on the provisions of the Regulation concerning its personal scope and some of its fundamental principles. The article considers whether these provisions function satisfactorily with regard to workers (often female) who have interrupted work because of child-rearing; as well as with regard to former spouses, who are covered by the Regulation in their capacity as family members of a Community worker, after the termination of their marriage. The article argues that, although the Reg. 883/03 provides some improvement with regard to the first category, namely workers interrupting work because of child-rearing, a great deal remains to be done. It also notes that no attention at all has been paid to the issue of marriage dissolution, qnd that this makes the situation of former spouses very uncertain and vulnerable. Finally, the article argues that the development of a gender dimension within the framework of the law of co-ordination is necessary in order to adjust the Regulation to new situations and for the satisfactory protection of a considerable number of persons, mainly women, who find themselves in situations such as those above.

Family case settlement in the religious court often does not run effectively and efficiently due to some judicial constraints in the level of absolute competence, event law, and material law. This paper seeks to describe some notes related to divorce settlement due to the domestic violence in the religious court. The data was collected through the observation of the trial and the reading of the verdicts on several divorce cases of domestic violence in metro religious court in 2016-2018. The findings suggest that justice for women could only be gained at a formal legal level, while the desired substantive justice has not yet been achieved.  The constraints occur in such stages as submission, case handling, and the verdict. The gender perspective of justice case handling and the judges’ courage of the religious court to deliver ultra petitum verdicts are a legal breakthrough in order to realize substantive justice in resolving family conflicts.   Keywords:  divorce, domestic violence, legal certainty, legal justice, religious court

Fibroepithelial lesions account for the overwhelming majority of solid breast masses affecting women younger than age 20. Nearly all present as self-detected or provider-detected palpable masses. All fibroepithelial lesions are composed of stromal (fibrous) and glandular (epithelial) elements and variable histology. Rapidly growing mobile breast masses in girls or female adolescents may represent juvenile fibroadenomas, which have different but benign histological features when compared to typical fibroadenomas. Benign phyllodes tumors closely resemble usual fibroadenomas and juvenile fibroadenomas on imaging. Decisions whether to biopsy these tumors are made clinically; the diagnosis of phyllodes tumor depends on histological assessment. This chapter, appearing in the section on circumscribed mass, reviews the key clinical and imaging features, differential diagnosis, and management recommendations of large solid breast masses affecting young women, including typical fibroadenomas, giant fibroadenomas, juvenile fibroadenomas, and phyllodes tumors.
