Community workers are the mainstay of community governance, and the key to building a team of community workers lies in the formulation and improvement of policies related to community and team construction. At present, community workers are facing a "ceiling" for career development, which will not only affect the stability of the community workforce, but also the effectiveness of community governance. In this regard, Chengdu Municipality issued the Chengdu Community Full-time Workers Management Method in 2018. Based on the analysis of the policies on the construction of community workers in Chengdu, the author will propose possible problems in the relevant policies in terms of remuneration, education and training, career promotion and assessment and evaluation, and put forward a few thoughts on improving the policies to further ensure that community workers have more room for career development and promote the effectiveness of community governance. This will further ensure that community workers have more room for career development and promote the construction and development of the community workforce.

Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) in Indonesia has a bad impact on the country's economy, banking, even the survival of the Community / Worker. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the legal consequences of employers who terminate the employment of PKWT workers who are affected by COVID-19 and the Bank's policy to set aside credit agreements for debtors affected by the termination of employment. This study uses a normative juridical research method with a statute approach and a case approach. The results show that the government's efforts to maintain public safety and maintain economic stability, in the spread of COVID-19, can affect the performance and capacity of micro, small and medium business debtors, thus potentially disrupting banking performance and financial system stability which can affect economic growth. Therefore, to encourage optimization of the banking intermediation function, maintain financial system stability, and support economic growth, an economic stimulus policy is needed as a counter cylical effect of the spread of COVID-19.

Results: The study found that 100% of respondents (n = 8) obtained high knowledge scores with the highest aspect on understanding about malaria and the lowest on diagnosis. The attitude score showed a moderate attitude for 100% of respondents (n = 8) with the highest aspect was fogging for malaria prevention and the lowest was the attitude that malaria is a serious disease. Meanwhile, the score of practice described good practice in 100% of respondents (n = 8) with the lowest part was compiling daily/weekly reports to the malaria program coordinator of Primary Health Care. From the observations, there was no significant correlation (p> 0.05) between demographic characteristics and between knowledge, attitudes and practice. Conclusion: The CMWs had a high knowledge score, moderate attitude, and good practice towards malaria prevention and control. Further studies with a larger sample are recommended for future study. CMW training is also recommended to improve the KAP of CMW.

Japhet Makongo

This chapter presents a dialogue between Japhet Makongo, a community development worker based in Tanzania, and Lin Bender, CEO of the philanthropic organisation, the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust in Victoria, Australia. Lin and Japhet have each worked on both ‘sides’ of the funding relationship and through their discussion they offer insights into the day-to-day realities of managing funding relationships. They analyse the risks and challenges involved, but also the possibilities for effective funding for community empowerment. Their discussion of funding speaks to perennially important themes within community development such as power, agency, community ownership, process versus outcome, and the meaning of ‘success’.
