AbstractThermally driven water-based sorption refrigeration is considered a promising strategy to realize near-zero-carbon cooling applications by addressing the urgent global climate challenge caused by conventional chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerants. However, developing cost-effective and high-performance water-sorption porous materials driven by low-temperature thermal energy is still a significant challenge. Here, we propose a zeolite-like aluminophosphate with SFO topology (EMM-8) for water-sorption-driven refrigeration. The EMM-8 is characterized by 12-membered ring channels with large accessible pore volume and exhibits high water uptake of 0.28 g·g−1 at P/P0 = 0.2, low-temperature regeneration of 65 °C, fast adsorption kinetics, remarkable hydrothermal stability, and scalable fabrication. Importantly, the water-sorption-based chiller with EMM-8 shows the potential of achieving a record coefficient of performance (COP) of 0.85 at an ultralow-driven temperature of 63 °C. The working performance makes EMM-8 a practical alternative to realize high-efficient ultra-low-temperature-driven refrigeration.

This paper discusses the development of water-reducing agent and the present situation of the application of high performance concrete. The traditional concrete will be substituted by high performance concrete, green concrete. In the course of appearance of high performance and green, concrete admixtures plays an extremely important role. Concrete water-reducing agent is admixture of the main part. In the case of keeping liquidity, it can make water consumption reduce, so the concrete strength and durability can be improved. It is applicable to all kinds of industrial and civil construction engineering, and it can be applied to different strength grade of concrete. It has important significance for mass concrete engineering, marine building facilities, and component and product of high strength lightweight concrete.

Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have been widely used as light sensitive components for high-efficient photodetectors due to their superior optoelectronic properties. However, the unwanted crystallographic defects of perovskites typically result in high dark current, and thus limit the performance of the device. Herein, we introduce a simple route of microstructures control in MAPbI3 perovskites that associates with introducing an additive of 3,3,4,4-benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydridean (BPTCD) for crystallization adjustment of the perovskite film. The BPTCD additive can facilitate the formation of high-quality perovskite film with a compact and nearly pinhole-free morphology. Through characterizing the molecular interactions, it was found that the carbonyl groups in BPTCD is the key reason that promoted the nucleation and crystallization of MAPbI3. As a result, we obtained high-efficient and stable perovskite photodetectors with low dark current of 9.98 × 10−8 A at −0.5 V, an on/off ratio value of 103, and a high detectivity exceeding 1012 Jones over the visible region.

A novel bioinspired control strategy design is proposed for generalized synchronization of nonlinear chaotic systems, combining the bioinspired stability theory, fuzzy modeling, and a novel, simple-form Lyapunov control function design of derived high efficient, heuristic and bioinspired controllers. Three main contributions are concluded: (1) apply the bioinspired stability theory to further analyze the stability of fuzzy error systems; the high performance of controllers has been shown in previous study by Li and Ge 2009, (2) a new Lyapunov control function based on bioinspired stability theory is designed to achieve synchronization without using traditional LMI method, which is a simple linear homogeneous function of states and the process of designing controller to synchronize two fuzzy chaotic systems becomes much simpler, and (3) three different situations of synchronization are proposed; classical master and slave Lorenz systems, slave Chen’s system, and Rossler’s system as functional system are illustrated to further show the effectiveness and feasibility of our novel strategy. The simulation results show that our novel control strategy can be applied to different and complicated control situations with high effectiveness.

Nanoscale material world attracted researchers because of their outstanding properties and prospective novel applications. Tungsten trioxide semiconductor is one of the fundamental functional materials due to its versatile application as gas sensors, solar cells, and smart windows. Confined growth of the metal oxide nanostructures can tune the electrical and optical properties for modern device application. The management of morphology is a challenge to investigate the ultimate performance. In this paper, self-assembled growth of four different tungsten trioxide nanostructures were carried using a different structure directing agents through either co-precipitation or hydrothermal techniques. The monoclinic spherical and rod-like WO3 nanostructures were obtained by acid precipitation method. WO3 nanocuboids and nanofibers were synthesized hydrothermally using HBF4 and NaCl as structure directing reagents to attain monoclinic and hexagonal crystal phases, respectively. Analytical techniques like XRD, TEM, and FESEM imaging methods were used to confirm the phase and morphology. All the nanopowders were calculated to have similar band gap energy at visible wavelength. A simple dip coated WO3/ITO fabricated electrode was used as a reference electrode to carry out the electrochemical measurements for all nanopowders. The evaluated properties suggested the plausible use of WO3 nanofibers for high efficient electrochromic device.
