An annotated list is given and the distribution of five species of digger wasps genus Ammophila, collected in the circumpolar regions of Western Siberia (in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District) in 2017, is specified.

An annotated list of spider wasps collected in the circumpolar region of Western Siberia (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District) for the first time is given. The six species are listed, of them five species are newly recorded from Tyumen Prov. and Episyron rufipes (Linnaeus, 1758) is newly recorded from Western Siberia.

The north of Western Siberia has seen intensive economic development. Exploration and mining for mineral resources, active road and pipeline construction, urban development, and agriculture favor invasion and dispersal of alien plant species across the Subarctic region. The paper reports new records for eight alien species and hybrids previously unknown from northwest Siberia and the flora of northern Asia: Alopecurus geniculatus L., Anthyllis vulneraria L. subsp. vulneraria, Aquilegia atrata W.D.J. Koch, A. vulgaris L., Epilobium franciscanum Barbey, Galium album Mill. subsp. album, Petunia atkinsiana (Sweet) D. Don ex W.H. Baxter, Primula elatior (L.) Hill. These species were spotted in 2012–2014 in the towns of Salekhard, Nadym, Novy Urengoy, Tarko-Sale, Gubkinsky, and Noyabrsk in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, Western Siberia (Russia). Species, synonyms, overall distribution, habitat preferences, and species taxonomy with remarks on identification and differentiation from the most similar taxa occurring in the study area, as well as the list of localities are presented.

During the geobotanical survey of the vegetation of the southern part of the Nature Park "Numto", located within the subzone of the northern taiga in the center of the West Siberian Plain, 140 species of bryophytes, including 87 species of mosses and 53 species of liverworts, of which 24 species of mosses and all liverworts are new to the territory of the Nature Park. Two species of sphagnum mosses – Sphagnum inexpectatum and S. mirum – are the most important finds for the Western Siberia. Sphagnum inexpectatum is listed for the first time for the territory of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District. The information on ecology and phytocenotic confinement of 18 species of mosses, known earlier in the Nature Park from one point or on a few and single finds, is supplemented. An annotated list of all identified species of bryophytes is given.

Developing democracy institutions and citizen participation in state affairs, the world community focuses on postcolonial studies, which allow us to identify new perspectives, set new priorities in various areas, in law and public administration among others. In Arctic countries, postcolonial discourse has an impact on the methodology of research related to indigenous issues, and this makes possible to understand specific picture of the world and ideas about what is happening in the world. Moreover, the traditions of Russian state and governance are specific and interaction between indigenous peoples and public authorities should be studied with a special research methodology which would reflect the peculiarities of domestic public law and aimed at solving legal issue and enrich public policy. The objective of the paper is to present a new integrated methodology that includes a system of philosophical, anthropological, socio-psychological methods, as well as methods of comparative analysis and scenario development methods to involve peripheral communities into decision-making process of planning the socio-economic development in one of Russia’s Arctic regions — the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and to justify and further legislatively consolidate the optimal forms of interaction between public authorities and indigenous communities of the North. In 2020, the Arctic Research Center conducted a sociological survey in the Shuryshkararea of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, which seems to limit existing approaches to identifying public opinion about prospects for developing villages and organizing life of their residents. Our proposed methodology for taking into account the views of indigenous peoples can help to overcome the identified limitations.

Анализ статистики уловов Шурышкарского района показал, что в 2015-2020 гг. промысловое значение имели 12 видов рыб, обеспечивая уловы от 8,6 до 10,1 тыс. тонн. Наибольший вклад в уловы по району вносили щука (47 %) и язь (27 %), доля сиговых в этот период снизилась с 22 до 11 %. Доля района в освоении биоресурсов ЯНАО возросла с 13 до 23 %, вклад в общие уловы щуки, леща, язя, окуня и карася в отдельные годы превышал 30 %. The analysis of catch statistics of the Shuryshkarsky district showed that in 2015-2020, 12 fish species were of commercial importance, providing catches from 8.6 to 10.1 thousand tons. The largest contribution to catches in the region was made by pike (47 %) and ide (27 %), the share of whitefish in this period decreased from 22 to 11 %. The share of the district in the development of biological resources of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District increased from 13 to 23 %, the contribution to the total catches of pike, bream, ide, perch and crucian in some years exceeded 30 %.
