Az iskolázottság növekedésével az iskolázottsági egyenlőtlenségek a Kuznets-görbének nagyjából megfelelő lefutást mutatnak a magasabb iskolázottság időszakában, de az országcsoportok nagy részében ez kiegészül egy ellentétes görbületű résszel az alacsonyabb iskolázottság időszakában, s így egy hullámszerű alakulás jellemzi az iskolázottsági egyenlőtlenségeket az iskolázottsággal együtt vizsgálva. Az írás azt is megvizsgálja, hogy az iskolázottsági egyenlőtlenségek milyen kapcsolatot mutatnak a keresetegyenlőtlenségekkel.Educational attainment is growing and is not projected to slow down in the future. However, as educational attainment rises, the evolution of educational inequalities shows a particular pattern. As schooling increases, the inequalities in schooling follow a roughly Kuznets curve slope for the period with a higher number of years of schooling completed. But in most groups of countries, this is complemented by an opposite curvature in the period of lower education, and thus a wave-like trend characterizes educational inequalities when examined in conjunction with education. In addition to analysing educational inequalities, the paper also examines the relationship between educational inequalities and earnings inequalities.

Background/Context The flow of people, including children, across international borders is a growing trend. While research has emphasized the relationship between parental migration and children's educational outcomes, little is known about how child migration itself influences educational attainment. Purpose To examine the relationship between Mexico-US. child migration and (a) completed years of schooling and (b) likelihood of dropping out of school. Subjects 33,705 Mexican-born individuals between 7 and 22 years old. Research Design Secondary data analysis. Data Collection/Analysis Using data from the Mexican Migration Project (MMP134), pooled OLS and logistic regression models were used to examine the relationship between Mexico-US. child migration and (a) completed years of schooling and (b) likelihood of dropping out of school. The sample was split into three groups representing age at first migration (0–6, 7–12, 13–15), allowing for investigation of age-specific incentives and barriers to investment in education. Further descriptive analysis explored what children who drop out of school do instead. Findings Mexican-born children who first migrate to the United States between the ages of 0 and 6 may have an educational advantage relative to their peers who stay behind, while those who migrate between the ages of 13 and 15 have an educational disadvantage. Specifically, migration in early childhood is related to more years of schooling and increased persistence in school for compulsory school-age children; migration in later childhood is associated with an increased likelihood of dropping out of school. Parental education and household wealth are strong, positive predictors of educational attainment, while being from a community with high migration rates is related to fewer years of schooling and a higher likelihood of dropping out. Of those who drop out, the majority of females are engaged in housework while the majority of males are employed as unskilled workers. Further, migrant students who drop out of school in the United States are more likely to be poor, male, members of large families, and have parents with low levels of education. Conclusions This study suggests that educational policy regarding migrant students cannot be divorced from the larger, national immigration debate. It also identifies hey characteristics of migrant students who drop out of school in the United States, which has implications for practice. Schools and support services can target this vulnerable population and the specific challenges to educational attainment it encounters.

The topic of what interviews measure has received a great deal of attention over the years. One line of research has investigated the relationship between interviews and the construct of cognitive ability. A previous meta-analysis reported an overall corrected correlation of .40 ( Huffcutt, Roth, & McDaniel, 1996 ). A more recent meta-analysis reported a noticeably lower corrected correlation of .27 ( Berry, Sackett, & Landers, 2007 ). After reviewing both meta-analyses, it appears that the two studies posed different research questions. Further, there were a number of coding judgments in Berry et al. that merit review, and there was no moderator analysis for educational versus employment interviews. As a result, we reanalyzed the work by Berry et al. and found a corrected correlation of .42 for employment interviews (.15 higher than Berry et al., a 56% increase). Further, educational interviews were associated with a corrected correlation of .21, supporting their influence as a moderator. We suggest a better estimate of the correlation between employment interviews and cognitive ability is .42, and this takes us “back to the future” in that the better overall estimate of the employment interviews – cognitive ability relationship is roughly .40. This difference has implications for what is being measured by interviews and their incremental validity.

Objectively and reliably determined indicators of rheological properties of the dough were identified using the alveograph device to create a system of classifications of wheat and flour from it for the intended purpose in the future. The analysis of the relationship of standardized quality indicators, as well as newly developed indicators for identifying them, differentiating the quality of wheat flour for the intended purpose, i.e. for finished products. To do this, we use mathematical statistics methods.

Radiomics is a science that investigates a large number of features from medical images using data-characterisation algorithms, with the aim to analyse disease characteristics that are indistinguishable to the naked eye. Radiogenomics attempts to establish and examine the relationship between tumour genomic characteristics and their radiologic appearance. Although there is certainly a lot to learn from these relationships, one could ask the question: what is the practical significance of radiogenomic discoveries? This increasing interest in such applications inevitably raises numerous legal and ethical questions. In an environment such as the technology field, which changes quickly and unpredictably, regulations need to be timely in order to be relevant.  In this paper, issues that must be solved to make the future applications of this innovative technology safe and useful are analysed.

The paper discusses the problems of fading and ending of business relationships in the sphere of professional services i.e. the phase of a relationship dissolution resulting from a client's or a firm's decision to end it. This phase includes, among others, determining the causes of the relationship dissolution and drawing conclusions for the future in order to prevent losing the most lucrative clients. Both in theory and in practice, relationship ending is perceived as something stretched in time i.e. consisting of numerous stages and influenced by numerous factors and events.The aim of the present paper is an analysis of the modern literature on the causes and mechanisms of business relationships termination in the sphere of professional services as well as indicating some possibilities of a more effective and efficient management of these relations.

India’s relationship with the United States remains crucial to its own objectives, but is also ambiguous. The asymmetry of power between the two countries is such that the relationship, if potentially useful, is not necessary for the United States while potentially risky for India. Moreover, the shift of the political centre of gravity of Asia — resulting from the growing rivalry between China and the US — is eroding the foundations of India’s policy in Asia, while prospects for greater economic interaction is limited by India’s slow pace of reforms. The future of India-US relations lies in their capacity to evolve a new quid pro quo in which the US will formulate its expectations in more realistic terms while India would assume a larger share of the burden of Asia’ security.
