Communication in digital form has become the part of day todays lifestyle, in certain moment communication is made secret to avoid others from knowing the information. By providing security to the sensitive data it is ensured that the users data is protected from viewing and accessing by others. In the current discussion about data security, Steganographic algorithm using two mediums has been discussed that involves image based encryption and converting to word file. The stage involving image based encryption uses HMAC-MD5 algorithm along with LSB steganography. LSB technique scatters the secret data which have to be protected over the entire image. Convert the embedded image in word file, so that the secret message is made unavailable to others who try to obtain the file. This method provides greater payload capacity along with higher image fidelity and thus make the proposed system is more robust against attacks.

Generally, The sending process of secret information via the transmission channel or any carrier medium is not secured. For this reason, the techniques of information hiding are needed. Therefore, steganography must take place before transmission. To embed a secret message at optimal positions of the cover image under spatial domain, using the developed particle swarm optimization algorithm (Dev.-PSO) to do that purpose in this paper based on Least Significant Bits (LSB) using LSB substitution. The main aim of (Dev. -PSO) algorithm is determining an optimal paths to reach a required goals in the specified search space based on disposal of them, using (Dev.-PSO) algorithm produces the paths of a required goals with most efficient and speed. An agents population is used in determining process of a required goals at search space for solving of problem. The (Dev.-PSO) algorithm is applied to different images; the number of an image which used in the experiments in this paper is three. For all used images, the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) value is computed. Finally, the PSNR value of the stego-A that obtained from blue sub-band colo is equal (44.87) dB, while the stego-B is equal (44.45) dB, and the PSNR value for the stego-C is (43.97)dB, while the vlue of MSE that obtained from the same color sub-bans is (0.00989), stego-B equal to (0.01869), and stego-C is (0.02041). Furthermore, our proposed method has ability to survive the quality for the stego image befor and after hiding stage or under intended attack that used in the existing paper such as Gaussian noise, and salt & pepper noise.

In present world data transfer using the internet is growing. It is very easy and fast way to transfer information like confidential documents, economic transactions, business applications and other covert information over internet. With the advent and growth of internet, people are more concerned about security of information. Data Security is important while data is transferred over internet because any illegal user can access important and private data also make it worthless. Research in data security area will help government agencies, military organization and private companies to securely transmit their confidential data over internet. From past few years various steganography techniques have been developed to hide secret message using various multimedia objects having large amount of redundant data to support steganography. In this paper introduction about steganography, related concepts and implementation of commonly used spatial domain techniques like LSB(Least Significant Bit Technique) with modulus, PVD(Pixel Value Difference) with LSB replacement and adaptive data hiding over edges with LSB are considered. It is observed(while visual, statistical analysis and experiments were carried out) with benchmark cover and stego objects that embedding same amount of secret data in each pixel leads to more visible distortions in a stego image because all pixels do not bear same amount of changes and this effect is more observed in smooth area then edges. Improving stego image imperceptibility and adjusting hiding capacity adaptively are major related research challenges about spatial domain techniques.

Cryptography and steganography are the two research areas which are popular for data confidentiality, data hiding respectively. Steganography hides the data in various multimedia cover files like image, audio and video. This paper handles images for steganography, which have high redundant pixels. In this paper, Lease Significant Bit (LSB) method hides the secret message bits in least significant bits of each pixel. The performance metrics MSE and PSNR are used to check the strength of the proposed algorithm. The proposed algorithm also checks payload capacity, image quality and security of the confidential data by applying cryptography and steganography algorithm and various parameters

Security has two techniques namely cryptography and steganography. The combination of these two techniques can be used as one of the solutions to improve the security of data and confidential information, where cryptographic techniques used to encode messages and steganography techniques used to hide messages that have been encoded before. Steganography can be seen as a continuation of cryptography. If on cryptography, the ciphertext remains available, then with steganography the ciphertext can be hidden so that the third party does not know its existence. The hidden secret data can be re-extracted exactly as it was in the original state. The combination of cryptographic and steganographic techniques will be applied in designing a data security application that can be used to improve data or information security. Applications that are ready to be designed, will be able to be used to insert a secret message into the media container so that the secret message that has been sent will arrive at the recipient intact without any damage to the message or the container media. In practice, applications that have been designed must be owned by both parties. Both sender and recipient.

Steganography algorithms have become a significant technique for preventing illegal users from obtaining secret data. In this paper, a deep hiding/extraction algorithm has been improved (IDHEA) to hide a secret message in colour images. The proposed algorithm has been applied to enhance the payload capacity and reduce the time complexity. Modified LSB (MLSB) is based on disseminating secret data randomly on a cover-image and has been proposed to replace a number of bits per byte (Nbpb), up to 4 bits, to increase payload capacity and make it difficult to access the hiding data. The number of levels of the IDHEA algorithm has been specified randomly; each level uses a colour image, and from one level to the next, the image size is expanded, where this algorithm starts with a small size of a cover-image and increases the size of the image gradually or suddenly at the next level, according to an enlargement ratio. Lossless image compression based on the run-length encoding algorithm and Gzip has been applied to enable the size of the data that is hiding at the next level, and data encryption using the Advanced Encryption Standard algorithm (AES) has been introduced at each level to enhance the security level. Thus, the effectiveness of the proposed IDHEA algorithm has been measured at the last level, and the performance of the proposed hiding algorithm has been checked by many statistical and visual measures in terms of the embedding capacity and imperceptibility. Comparisons between the proposed approach and previous work have been implemented; it appears that the intended approach is better than the previously modified LSB algorithms, and it works against visual and statistical attacks with excellent performance achieved by using the detection error (PE). Furthermore, the results confirmed that the stego-image with high imperceptibility has reached even a payload capacity that is large and replaces twelve bits per pixel (12-bpp). Moreover, testing is confirmed in that the proposed algorithm can embed secret data efficiently with better visual quality.

Steganography is the science of invisible communication. Apart from the sender and intended recipient no one suspects the existence of the message. Using Steganography, information can be hidden in various mediums known as carriers. The carriers can be images, audio files, video files and text files. Image Steganography is a technique of using an image file as a carrier. Cryptography protects the information by applying the encryption and decryption techniques, so that the secret message can be understood only by the right person. This paper proposes a method, which combines the techniques of Steganography and cryptography, to hide the secret data in an image. In the first phase, the sender will embed the secret data in an image by using the Least Significant Bit (LSB) technique. The embedded image will be encrypted by using an encryption algorithm. At final, the encrypted image will be decrypted and the hidden data will be retrieved by supplying the valid secret key by the receiver. The process includes the phases of Data embedding, Image Encryption and recovery of both original image and secret data from the encrypted image.

At present Cloud computing is a very successful paradigm for data computing and storage. It Increases the concerns about data security and privacy in the cloud. Paper covers cloud security and privacy research, while focusing on the works that protect data confidentiality and privacy for sensitive data being stored and queried in the cloud. As Survey enlist all the research carried out related to data security and users privacy preserving techniques in detail. Data sharing can be achieved with sensitive information hiding with remote data integrity auditing, propose a new concept called identity based shared data integrity auditing with sensitive information hiding for secure cloud storage. Initially every data would be outsourced to the cloud only after authorized or activated by the proxy. The key would be generated to the file randomly by the key generation Centre. The transaction details such as key mismatch, file upload and download, hacking details would be shown to the proxy and cloud server. If the match occurs, automatically file would be recovered by the user even if hacker access or tamper the file. The main motive is to ensure that when the cloud properly stores the user’s sanitized data, the proof it generates can pass the verification of the third party auditor. And the paper provides various research work done in the field

Hiding the presence of data during communication has become a pressing concern in this overly digitalized world as a consequence of illegitimate access. These concerns have led to cryptography and steganography techniques as methods for securing data. This paper presents a modified information hiding technique based on an indirect least significant bit. Instead of saving each bit of the secret message in the least significant bit (LSB) of the cover media, each bit of the secret message is compared to a mask bit in the cover media. The result is saved in the cover media’s LSB. In this paper, two steganography schemas are designed in which the cover media are image and audio, while the secret message is a text file. A simple encryption technique is used to transform the secret message into an unreadable format before the hiding process begins. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm achieves promising performance

Internet of Things(IoT) is playing a pivotal role in our daily life as well as in various fields like Health, agriculture, industries etc. In the go, the data in the various IoT applications will be easily available to the physical dominion and thus the process of ensuringthe security of the data will be a major concern. For the extensive implementation of the numerous applications of IoT , the data security is a critical component. In our work, we have developed an encryption technique to secure the data of IoT. With the help of Merkle-Hellman encryption the data collected from the various IoT devices are first of all encrypted and then the secret message is generated with the help of Elliptic Curve Cryptography.
