AbstractThis article focuses on the experimental verification of a mathematical derivation of Janssen’s theory, which describes the distribution of pressures within the bulk material and pressure distribution on the walls of storage facilities. The experimental verification is performed in two ways. The first is the real measurement of the load transfer in a bulk material cylinder and the second is similar to the detection of the load transfer through simulations using the DEM method. The aim is to compare the results of the theoretical calculation according to Janssen’s theory with the real measurement and a simulation of exactly the same model situation. At the beginning of any design or optimisation of existing transport or storage facilities, the most important is the analysis of the bulk material in the form of measurements of mechanical-physical properties. The analysis methods used are also described here. The pressure at the bottom of a storage container between the methods used showed negligible differences. From this finding, it can be concluded that the DEM method is a very suitable means for verifying the design of transport and storage facilities. The simulations provide important information and insights that can also be used to optimise existing transport or storage facilities.

X-ray emission contains some of the gaseous properties is produced when the particles of the solar wind strike the atmosphere of comet ISON and PanSTARRS Comets. The data collected with NASA Chandra X-ray Observatory of the two comets, C/2012 S1 (also known as Comet ISON) and C/2011 S4 (Comet PanSTARRS) are used in this study.    The real abundance of the observed X-ray spectrum elements has been extracted by a new simple mathematic model. The study found some physical properties of these elements in the comet’s gas such as a relationship between the abundance with emitted energy. The elements that have emission energy (2500-6800) eV, have abundance (0.1-0.15) %, while the elements that have emission energy (850-2500) eV and (6800-9250) eV have abundance (0.2-0.3) %.    The relation between interacted energy and atomic number is form two sets.  The interacted energy of each element is increased as the atomic number increased. This case has been seen in both comets

AbstractMultitudinous topological configurations spawn oases of many physical properties and phenomena in condensed-matter physics. Nano-sized ferroelectric bubble domains with various polar topologies (e.g., vortices, skyrmions) achieved in ferroelectric films present great potential for valuable physical properties. However, experimentally manipulating bubble domains has remained elusive especially in the bulk form. Here, in any bulk material, we achieve self-confined bubble domains with multiple polar topologies in bulk Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 ferroelectrics, especially skyrmions, as validated by direct Z-contrast imaging. This phenomenon is driven by the interplay of bulk, elastic and electrostatic energies of coexisting modulated phases with strong and weak spontaneous polarizations. We demonstrate reversable and tip-voltage magnitude/time-dependent donut-like domain morphology evolution towards continuously and reversibly modulated high-density nonvolatile ferroelectric memories.

This article helps to understand what a forklift is, what it was and what it is at the moment. In the text below, a brief history of the appearance of the loader is well traced, the constructive component and its features are described. The main aspects of the development of a loader in the system of lifting and transporting machines and storage facilities are highlighted. The current trends in the development of forklifts are summarized, an analysis of the market of European and domestic consumers is provided and a conclusion about popular manufacturers is formulated. The information about modern design solutions for machines of this type was also not spared, the principles of operation were described, and also its own design-parametric model of a forklift was proposed, which is able to make work in warehouses more economical and profitable. In the conclusion, the main theses about the modernized machine are formulated, which can subsequently give an impetus to the development of automated control on domestically produced loaders. Keywords: forklift, modernization, improvement, lifting and transport equipment

During the long LHC shutdown, ATLAS experiment is preparing several fundamental changes to its offline event processing framework and analysis model. These include moving to multi-threaded reconstruction and simulation and reducing data duplication during derivation analysis by producing a combined mini-xAOD stream. These changes will allow ATLAS to take advantage of the higher luminosity at Run 3 without overstraining processing and storage capabilities. They also require significant improvements to the underlying event store and the I/O framework to support them. These improvements include: 1) an overhaul of the Run 2 I/O framework to be thread-safe and minimize serial bottlenecks, 2) introduction of new immutable references for object navigation, which don’t rely on storage container entry number so data can be merged in-memory, 3) using filter decisions to annotate combined output stream to allow for fast event selection on input and 4) selecting optimized compression algorithms and settings to allow efficient reading of event selections.

Aim: The objective of the paper was to identify and analyse relevant requirements regarding the safety of storage and usage of pyrotechnic materials, intended for civil use. The review was based on binding applicable Polish and European legal acts. The results of the review pointed to the ambiguity of the provisions regulating the issues of safe usage and storage of pyrotechnical materials. Introduction: Some pyrotechnic articles, when triggered by a proper impulse, can lead to a violent reaction resulting in the release of a large amount of heat, and the creation of a blast wave. The effects of this reaction have a destructive impact on buildings situated nearby and pose a hazard to human life. Use and storage of pyrotechnic articles against the set rules is associated with the risk of fire or explosion, therefore a number of requirements have been introduced in this area. Methodology: In Poland there are many legal acts applicable to explosives. One of the most important one is the Act of 21 June 2002 on explosives designated for civil use, which presents pyrotechnic materials with respect to the safety of their usage and storage. Several key requirements have also been specified in agreements ratified in Poland and in other international acts, such as for example: the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road(ADR), and the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2013/29/EU of 12 June 2013 on the harmonisation of laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of pyrotechnic articles. Results: It was established that there is a need of adopting a legal solution for storing pyrotechnical products for temporary sales in containers located near commercial facilities (and serving as back-up facilities). Although the regulations are not clear-cut, such a solution is used in practice, thus it would be advisable to determine by means of legal acts whether it is permissible and what requirements should be fulfilled, for example by a container, in which pyrotechnic articles are temporarily stored. Conclusions: The specification presented in the article allows to see the need to minimize the hazards associated with the marketing of pyrotechnical materials and justifies the necessity of adopting a particularly diligent classification and use of nomenclature for these products. In case of storing pyrotechnical materials, it is erroneous to adopt the determination of class “G” for two variable of net mass values of the explosive (when determining safe distances for explosive storage facilities, including among others class 1, sub-classes 1.3, 1.4). The same applies to the hexogen equivalent of an explosive load (when determining safe distances for explosive storage facilities including class 1, sub-classes 1.1, 1.5 and 4.1). Such provisions are misleading and may cause erroneous interpretations of regulations.

One of the Acehnese traditional food  preserved by the addition of salt, acid and dried was sie balu. The preservation method may lead to changes in the structure and nutritional content. Sie balu with the addition of vinegar, garlic and ginger can reduce the value of water activity (aW), pH and bacterial counts. This condition affects the physical properties and sensory of sie balu. Irradiation can control pathogenic microorganisms in meat without affecting the physical condition. Low-dose irradiation is able to maintain the desired sensory attributes nutritious food products. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the sensory and physic sie baluthat irradiated with increasing doses and the shelf life of 3-6 weeks. Sie balu was made of 10 kg fresh beef, dried in the sun to dry, vacuum and irradiated at doses of 5, 7 and 9 kGy. Sensory test conducted by taste sie balu by trained panelists and fill out the hedonicform. The physical properties based on pH and aW. The microbe total calculated used Total Plate Count. The results showed that the irradiation dose significantly (P <0.05) affected on microbe total, aroma, color, texture and taste of sie balu. Storage time does not affect the sensory properties. Irradiation dose and storage time significantly (P <0.05) on pH and aWsiebalu.
