The Technology Model, called T-FliC is proposed for Flipped Classroom. The aim is to provide IT facilities to the aforementioned pedagogical model. This proposal may be implemented at different levels of higher education. T-FliC is primarily based on the use of free technology resources, especially Google applications such as Classroom, Drive, and YouTube, because they are widely used by students and teachers. This extensive use permits to replicate this model in different educational contexts. The T-FliC model incorporates five ICT phases, ranging from the planning of teaching-learning activities to continuous learning assessments. The implementation of the T-FliC Model includes the following phases: a digital class (learning outside the classroom) with asynchronous guidance of a virtual tutor; a workshop involving dynamic activities for collaborative work (classroom learning) guided by a tutor in person; and an ongoing technological tools evaluation process (clickers, portfolio, and forum) which will generate the digital records of the student learning path. This article includes a bibliographic review of the role of ICT in the education processes and the fundamentals of the Flipped Classroom (FC) methodology. In the paper are included FC implementation experiences in higher education, followed by the presentation of the T-FliC Model as a technological proposal for this methodology. Finally, the conclusions present reflections on the proposal.

RESUMONum momento da educação digital, que tende a se consolidar por meio do desenvolvimento de diferentes tecnologias e inovações, as instituições de Ensino Superior enfrentam desafios alusivos às propostas didático-pedagógicas tecnológicas, às estratégias que envolvem o processo de ensino-aprendizagem e aos investimentos referentes às diferentes modalidades presencial e a distância. Apresenta-se nesta reflexão elementos relevantes relacionados à educação híbrida e a distância, dados da América e do Brasil. As transformações no Ensino Superior estão relacionadas também às condições da realidade externa, interna em relação aos investimentos e às perspectivas educacionais, que são impulsionadas pelas demandas sociais, do mundo do trabalho, da globalização e do novo papel do conhecimento. O hibridismo tem se consolidado em experiências diferenciadas e entende-se que este não pode ser considerado como um modelo estático, mas que tende a transformar o contexto no qual está inserido cada vez mais, com os resultados de reflexões acadêmicas a respeito de propostas implantadas, como a sala de aula invertida, uso de diversos aplicativos, entre outros, no Ensino Superior em diferentes países.Palavras-chave: Educação a Distância. Ensino Superior.ABSTRACTAt a time of digital education, which tends to consolidate itself through the development of different technologies and innovations, Higher Education Institutions face challenges related to technological didactic-pedagogical proposals, the strategies that involve the teaching-learning process and the related investments the different modalities, in person and at a distance. In this reflection, relevant elements related to hybrid and distance education are presented, data from America and Brazil. The transformations in Higher Education are also related to the conditions of the external, internal reality in relation to investments and educational perspectives, which are driven by social demands, work, globalization and the new role of knowledge. Hybridism has been consolidated in different experiences and it is understood that this cannot be considered as a static model, but that it tends to transform the context in which it is increasingly inserted, with the results of academic reflections on proposals implemented as the Flipped Classroom, use of various applications, among others, in Higher Education in different countries.Keywords: Distance Education. When two Silicon Valley start-ups, Coursera and Udacity, embarked in 2012 on a bold effort to supply college-level courses for free over the Internet to learners worldwide, the notion of the Massively Open Online Course (MOOC) captured the nation's attention. Although MOOCs are an interesting experiment with a role to play in the future of higher education, they are a surprisingly small part of the online higher education scene. We believe that online education, at least online education that begins to take full advantage of the interactivity offered by the web, is still in its infancy. We begin by sketching out the several faces of online learning—asynchronous, partially asynchronous, the flipped classroom, and others—as well as how the use of online education differs across the spectrum of higher education. We consider how the growth of online education will affect cost and convenience, student learning, and the role of faculty and administrators. We argue that spread of online education through higher education is likely to be slower than many commenters expect. We hope that online education will bring substantial benefits. But less-attractive outcomes are also possible if, for instance, legislators use the existence of online education as an excuse for sharp cuts in higher education budgets that lead to lower-quality education for many students, at the same time that richer, more-selective schools are using online education as one more weapon in the arms race dynamic that is driving costs higher.

ICTs in Education refers to the development of information and communications technology specifically for teaching/learning purposes, while the ICTs in education involves the adoption of general components of information and communication technologies in the teaching learning process. The National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NME-ICT), launched in 2009 by the Central Government. Let’s see how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) evolved the Higher Education system: The role of ICT in higher education, what students learn, The role of ICT in Higher Education, how Students Learn, The role of ICT in Higher Education, when students learn, The role of ICT in higher education, where students learn. Online courses, development of e-content, e-learning, digital libraries, online encyclopaedias, journals, and books would promote learning and make knowledge available to all irrespective of the distance or location or financial resources. Government intervention is necessary so that ICT can be made successful in higher education. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has the proven power to change the world. This acronym refers to the merging of audiovisual and telephone networks with the computer single unified system of cabling.

ABSTRACT The approval of the More Doctors Program has triggered a number of readjustments of the National Curricular Guidelines (DCNs) for Medical Education, like the creation of a mental health internship integrated into the health service and community. Due to this demand, the higher education institutions have been encouraged to innovate in their teaching-learning methodologies in order to guarantee a generalist, humanistic and critical professional education. We report the experience of a private higher education institution in the implementation of a mental health internship in consonance with the new DCNs. We present all the steps of the implementation, reporting the participation of students, supervisors, preceptors and managers. We show that a mental health internship linked to different levels of healthcare promotes learning conditions capable of favoring the decentralization of care and application of the community/family approach.

The future of higher education is intrinsically linked with developments on new technologies and computing capacities of the new intelligent machines. In this field, advances in artificial intelligence open to new possibilities and challenges for teaching and learning in higher education with the potential to fundamentally change governance and the internal architecture of institutions of higher education. The role of technology in higher learning is to enhance human thinking and to augment the educational process, not to reduce it to a set of procedures for content delivery, control, and assessment. With the rise of AI solutions, it is increasingly important for educational institutions to stay alert and see if the power of control over hidden algorithms that run them is not monopolized by tech-lords. This chapter will cover all the positive and negative aspects of AI technologies on teaching, learning, and research in higher education.

This chapter discusses how Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) can be used to foster a research approach to teaching and learning and how faculty development that supports colleagues to engage in SoTL can support the development of scholarly faculty. Both the process and the product of SoTL are discussed, conceptualised as different levels of SoTL engagement. The role of the faculty developer in such scholarship is discussed, drawing on Pedagogical Content Knowledge as a framework for engagement in SoTL projects. Last, implications for the work of a faculty developer are drawn and future avenues of research in faculty development proposed.

The role of faculty in higher education as knowledge disseminators within the knowledge and digital society can be completely redefined. This paper presents results from a video-based flipped classroom approach combined with a project-oriented learning arrangement. I show that videos combined with a project-based learning setting can be a powerful tool to facilitate the shift from knowledge dissemination to knowledge appropriation. Besides, results show a high level of student's satisfaction and achievement during the course. The competences obtained by the students during the course reach far beyond those possible in a similar course with a traditional teaching approach.

Given the current importance of the role of teacher evaluation in higher education institutions, there is a need to know the current perception that students have of their teachers and use it as a reference tool for decision-making that positively impacts practices of the teaching-learning process, so this research allows to know the strengths and areas of opportunity of teachers of the basic accounting subjects of the Public Accountant degree offered by the Facultad de Contaduría y Administración of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí and be used at first as feedback so that teachers make their actions conscious in front of the group and on the other hand serve the institution as an instrument in the design of actions that improve the performance of teachers in their work and thus achieve a Qualitative training of professionals in the accounting area. Finally, this research sets a precedent for both the UASLP and other institutions of higher education to analyze and improve the educational practices of the degrees they offer.

- ICT is a broader term that includes all technologies for the communication of information. It is the technology that enables the handling (creation, storage, and access) of information and facilitates different forms of communication (radio, television, cellular phones, computer , hardware and software, various services and applications for broadcasting information. The development of ICT has influenced all walks of life like agriculture, health, decision making, administration, and also education is no exception to this. This article focuses on the role of ICT in higher education. ICT is potentially a powerful tool for extending educational opportunities and resulting in a remarkable growth in the higher education sector and leading to quality enhancements. The government is spending a lot of money on ICT: the National Mission on Education is emphasizing on the role of ICT in increasing the enrolment ratio in higher education and availability of trained teachers in the process of dissemination of education. The main factors that affect the adoption of ICT in education are the mission or goal of a particular system, programs and curricula, teaching/learning strategies and techniques, learning material and resources, communication, support and delivery systems, students, tutors, staff and other experts, management and evaluation.
