An experimental study of the control of the operating modes of the plate feeder based on a frequency-controlled electric drive in the mining industry has been carried out. The graphs of measurements of the electrical parameters of the electric drive supplied from the frequency converter of the plastic feeder, instantaneous values of harmonic composition of voltage and current up to 50 harmonics, as well as changes in current and voltage harmonics over a period of 30 minutes were obtained. Measurement of oscillograms of voltage and current of each phase in operating mode and the moment of turning off and turning on the electric motor of the plastic feeder. The issues of control of starting modes of the plate feeder from frequency-controlled electric drives are considered. It has been determined that frequency start-up with the linear control law for the frequency of the plate feeder as a function of time and technological parameters are the most acceptable condition for starting modes.

This paper discusses the wound rotor induction motor and variable-frequency drive (VFD) that regulates the stator voltage frequency. The stator and rotor windings are connected to a common electrical circuit. The slip energy of the motor goes to the DC link and feeds the stator winding of the motor. The block diagram of the electric drive, the equivalent circuit and the basic characteristic of the cascade VFD are considered. It is shown that the energy-saving mode with a minimum ratio “stator current/torque” is achieved at an angle between vectors of the stator current and the excitation current at the level of 45 degrees. The experimental static mechanical characteristics of the electric drive were obtained. These characteristics provide a limitation of the starting torque.

In the paper, a model of a three-phase frequency-controlled induction electric drive has been developed in Simulink Matlab 2019 (MathWorks, Natick, MA, USA). This model is mathematically converted into a two-phase model by transforming equations. It is proposed to compensate the voltage drop in the power system during start-up operation under load by using supercapacitors as a buffer power source. A block of supercapacitors was calculated. Simulation modeling was performed at a different voltage than the network. The diagrams of the transient processes occurring in the electric drive when the power supply is changed were prepared. It was found that such a principle of implementing an additional source of electric energy allows to start induction electric drives in areas remote from industrial networks without significantly affecting their static and dynamic characteristics.

Electro-pneumatic actuator is an accurate external modulation of combat weapons, which is used for tactical games and development of combat skills. Electro-pneumatic drive (AEG) and its advantage in high speed of fire were investigated in the experiment and the number of its shots exceeds even the number of combat weapon's shots. The other advantages are the large number of shots on a standard battery and miniature design, because weight and size are more modulation requirement than necessity.
