O artigo apresenta experiências acadêmicas e museológicas envolvendo as coleções fotográficas do Museu Paulista de São Paulo/Brasil. Nosso objetivo é demonstrar a ligação orgânica existente entre as três áreas constitutivas da prática curatorial: a produção de um sistema documental, a produção de conhecimento na área da cultura visual e a produção de obras dedicadas ao público de um museu de história. Abstract The article presents academic and museological experiments involving the photographic collections of the Paulista Museum of the University of São Paulo/Brazil. Our aim is to demonstrate the organic liaison that there is among the three constitutive curatorship practices: the production of a documental system, the production of knowledge in the area of visual culture and the production of work dedicated to the public of a museum of history. Objective: to know the opinion of female adolescents who have become pregnant and were enrolled in a Health Agents Program in Osasco city, São Paulo, Brazil, about strategies used in the public health field in order to reduce teenage pregnancy in the community they live. Methods: descriptive and qualitative study using focal group conducted by a semi-structured script with four adolescents from Osasco city in March 2009. The study has been approved by the Committee of Ethics in Research of the University of São Paulo (764/2009).  Results: the four participants mentioned both positive and negative aspects of becoming pregnant in adolescence and stated they were aware of how to avoid pregnancy, although they did not keep conversations about contraceptive choices with theirs partners. Health services were merely seen as a place for contraceptive methods distribution. Conclusion: adolescents mentioned fragile bond with the health services and did not recognize them as partners for promoting their sexual and reproduction health. O objetivo desse artigo é verificar como ocorreu a recente expansão das universidades públicas paulistas(USP, UNESP e UNICAMP), mais especificamente, a relação entre a ampliação física, em relação ao projetode universidade preferido pelo Governo do Estado e gradualmente implantado pelas gestões reitorais, que suscitouuma suposta crise. Será utilizado o caso da Universidade de São Paulo, no período compreendido entre a promulgaçãoda Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (1996) e a data atual. Para orientar a análise, é utilizada a propostade Boaventura de Souza Santos, que identifica a crise global da Universidade em três aspectos principais: umacrise institucional, uma de legitimidade e uma de contradição. Considera-se, ao final, que as universidades públicaspaulistas vivem essas crises e sua expansão, de caráter exclusivamente utilitarista, é parte dessas crises.Palavras-chave: Educação Superior Pública. Universidade Neoliberal. THE PROBLEM OF RECENT EXPASION OF THE PUBLIC UNIVERSITY OF SÃOPAULO STATEAbstract: The purpose of this article is verify how the recent expansion of the São Paulo state universities (USP,UNESP and UNICAMP) occurred, specifically the relationship between the physical extension in relation to the projectof university chosen by the State Government and gradually deployed by rectorals managements, that eliciteda supposed crisis. The case of the University of São Paulo will be used, in the period between the enactment of theLaw of Guidelines and Bases of Education (1996) until the current date. To guide the analysis it will be used texts byBoaventura de Souza Santos, which identifies the global crisis of the university in three main aspects: an institutionalcrisis, a legitimacy one and a contradiction one. It is considered, in the end, the São Paulo state universities areliving these crises. Resumo:Este artigo deriva da tese de doutorado SENHORAS DONAS: economia, povoamento e vida material em terras maranhenses (1755-1822), desenvolvida entre 2004 a 2009 na Universidade de São Paulo, e integra a pesquisa “As Donas do poder: economia e vida material de mulheres no Maranhão colonial (1755-1822)” financiada pela Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Maranhão – FAPEMA. Tem por cenário o Maranhão colonial, especificamente entre 1755-1822 e investiga a atuação das mulheres naquela dinâmica sócio-econômica como proprietárias de escravarias, joias, imóveis etc., na agricultura e pecuária, solicitando sesmarias para instalarem lavouras, criando gado e legando seus bens a herdeiros, dos quais a documentação revelou serem, em maior número, outras mulheres.  Palavras chave: História do Maranhão; História das Mulheres; Economia Algodoeira; Vida Material.Resumen:Este artículo se deriva de la tesis doctoral SENHORAS DONAS: economia, povoamento e vida material em terras maranhenses (1755-1822), desarrollada desde 2004 hasta 2009 en la Universidad de São Paulo, e integra la investigación “As Donas do poder: economia e vida material de mulheres no Maranhão colonial (1755-1822)”, financiada por la Fundación Apoya a la Investigación de Maranhão- FAPEMA. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to present the role of aspects related to public leadership in the actions developed by three state universities in São Paulo (Brazil) in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the University of Campinas (Unicamp), University of São Paulo (USP) and São Paulo State University (Unesp).Design/methodology/approachSince this is a viewpoint article, part of the information presented is characterized by the authors' points of view. It should be highlighted, however, that the information provided is based on searches in scientific bases, institutional websites and published press reports.FindingsAccording to the authors, aspects of public leadership are being properly employed by the public servants of the analyzed universities, resulting in the positive actions that have been implemented.Originality/valueThere is no existing literature on public leadership in these Brazilian universities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aims at describing the history of the Escola de Aplicação (EA), at the School of Education of the University of São Paulo (USP) during the period of 1976-1986, when I was both the pedagogical coordinator and the director. During this period, Professor José Mário Azanha, as a Representative of the School of Education of USP, headed the organization and functioning activities of the Elementary school, with the goal that the Escola de Aplicação (EA) could contribute with some ideas for improving the public school system of the state of São Paulo. This study seeks to reconstruct, through a historical perspective, both theoretical and practical aspects of the work that took place during the mentioned period.
