Rulyrana erminea is an endemic glass frog from Peru associated to rainforests, bamboo forests, streams and converted areas. Previously, the species was known from a single female specimen. Herein, I report four additional specimens from three new localities, among them the first male specimens and the first record for the Department of Cusco, the new southernmost record for the species, extending its distribution 111.5 km airline to the south. The species is recorded between 370 – 870 m a.s.l. One specimen was found inside the Machiguenga Communal Reserve.

The first record of the crab spider Epicadus camelinus (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1869) from Peru is presented. A single female specimen was collected in the Área de Conservación Privada Panguana in 1984 and deposited in the State Museum of Natural History Karlsruhe, Germany. The record represents a considerable range extension of approximately 800 km west of the closest known locality of the species in Brazil. The specimen and the corresponding diagnostic characters are illustrated in detail.

Micromorphological Characters

New localities of <em>Hygrocybe salicis-herbaceae</em> were observed during the research on the fungi of the alpine zone in the Carpathians. This is the first record of this arctic-alpine fungus in the South-Eastern Carpathians. Macro- and micromorphological characters of the Carpathian collections are compared with the descriptions from other regions. A revision of literature data indicates that the sites in the Parâng Mts. reported here are the only known localities of the species from the entire Carpathian range.

Sterrer's cave shrimp (Parhippolyte sterreri) is recorded for the first time from San Salvador Island, Bahamas. A single adult specimen was collected in June 2011 with hand nets at the southern conduit mouth in Mermaid Pond, an anchialine pond on the south-east corner of the island. Twelve additional specimens were collected in June 2013 from two additional sites near Mermaid Pond (Dunk City Pond and the Pigeon Creek Conduit). These collections represent a minor range extension ofP. sterreriin the Bahamas. Additionally, we report on populations ofBarbouria cubensisobserved in 17 other anchialine ponds on San Salvador Island.

First record of the nemoral Eastern Palaearctic species Catocala helena Eversmann, 1856 is reported from Samara Region as new to Europe. New localities in the South Urals and West Siberia are reported for the first time. The present records expand the species distribution for more than 2500 km to the west. The general species’ distribution and bionomics is provided. Species’ habitats in the South Urals are illustrated.

We present an inventory of demersal fishes from the inner continental shelf off Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil. Three sites were sampled monthly, between March 2003 and February 2005, with standardized bottom trawls (30 minutes, 16 m depth, 22/16 mm mesh). A total of 7.857 specimens were captured, belonging to three species of Chondrichthyes and 95 species of Actinopterygii (77 genera and 40 families). The occurrence of Ampharius phrygiatus represents a southern range extension for this species, which was previously known only from the narrow coastal stretch between Guyana and Maranhão State (Brazil). The record of Synodus poeyi represents the first record of this species in Brazil and in the South Atlantic, as it was previously recorded only in the Caribbean. The general structure of the demersal fish assemblage is described and commented upon.

A single adult female specimen of the Northern brown shrimp, Farfantepenaeus aztecus, a species native to the western Atlantic coasts, was caught in Boka kotorska bay (southern Adriatic Sea) on 19 September 2013. This is the first record of this alien species in the Adriatic Sea.

The present paper reports the occurrence of the Antarctic coralFlabellum impensumin Tierra del Fuego Province, Argentina, and extends its distribution northwards in the south-west Atlantic Ocean. Nine individuals were found in Argentinean coastal waters in 2014, also representing one of the shallowest records of the species.

A second species of the ctenochelid genus Ctenocheloides Anker, 2010 is described based on a single female specimen collected on a rocky reef in front of Maceió, Alagoas, northeastern Brazil. Ctenocheloides almeidai sp. nov. represents the first record of Ctenocheloides in the Atlantic Ocean. The new species differs from C. attenboroughi Anker, 2010, the type species from Madagascar, in the number of teeth in the crista dentata of the third maxilliped, the proportions and ar-mature of the major and minor chelipeds, and several other characters. The microhabitats of C. almeidai sp. nov. and C. attenboroughi are remarkably similar: both species inhabit burrows made in rock crevices cemented by compact clay-like silt, at very shallow depths (1–1.5 m). A key to the western Atlantic species of the family Ctenochelidae is provided.

Two species of axiid shrimp are reported from sublittoral to upper bathyal waters around the Ogasawara Islands, Japan. The first, Bouvieraxius keiensis Sakai, 1992, is recorded from Japanese waters for the first time, although it is known widely from the southwestern Pacific to western Indian Ocean. Taxonomic problems of this taxon are pointed out. The second, Manaxius aurantiaca n. sp., is described based on a single female specimen from the Kaikata Seamount (at a depth of 299–335 m). It has rounded pleura of the pleomeres 2–5, and is notable in the lack of spines on the upper margin of the cheliped palms. In this regard, the new species closely resembles M. iro Poore, 2020. Differentiating characters between M. aurantiaca n. sp. and M. iro are discussed.
