OBJECTIVE: to identify the direct labor (DL) costs to put in practice a decision support system (DSS) in nursing at the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo (HU-USP). METHOD: the development of the DSS was mapped in four sub-processes: Conception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition. To calculate the DL, the baseline salary per professional category was added to the five-year additional remuneration, representation fees and social charges, and then divided by the number of hours contracted, resulting in the hour wage/professional, which was multiplied by the time spend on each activity in the sub-processes. RESULTS: the DL cost corresponded to R$ 752,618.56 (100%), R$ 26,000.00 (3.45%) of which were funded by a funding agency, while R$ 726,618.56 (96,55%) came from Hospital and University resources. CONCLUSION: considering the total DL cost, 72.1% related to staff wages for the informatics consulting company and 27.9% to the DL of professionals at the HU and the School of Nursing.

Grant scholarships to students are conducted by the University based on the achievements achieved. Since the last few years Bhayangkara University has run a Joint Degree Program scholarship in cooperation with Thailand, India, and plans to continue to the Netherlands. In scholarship grants, the Universityoften finds it difficult to determine the scholarship recipients, so it is found that scholarships are not accurate due to the manual system for the awarding of scholarships. The decision support system is an information system aimed at assisting the University in solving the problem of awarding Joint Degree Program scholarship. One method that can be used in decision support systems is Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP). The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method takes into account the extent of validity to the extent of inconsistency tolerance of the various criteria and alternatives chosen by the decision maker. In this research, the data used is UBHARA student data 3 last generation. The criteria used are GPA, TOEFL score, TPA Test Score, and Value of Communication Skill Test. From the results of experiments carried out the results of manual calculations of the application and manual calculations from the Institute of Cooperation get a presentation 100% equation in determining scholarship recipients. So as to produce the ranking of students, two students with the highest score in each department that will get a Joint Degree Program scholarship. Keywords: Scholarship, Student, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Decision Support System.

ABSTRACT Objective: to characterize nurses graduated from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo, from 2006 to 2012; verify their entry, facilitating factors and difficulties of these graduates in the labor market and to consider their skills and competences in the world of work. Method: an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Results: out of 505 graduates, 172 (34.1%) participated in the research. Entry into the labor market was mainly via public hospital institutions, in the SE of Brazil, in the caregiving sectors. The greater part remained from one to two years in their first job. Most agreed that they were prepared to meet the health needs of the population. Furthermore, they had been encouraged to seek systematic and continuous improvement in a critical, reflexive and creative way, while combining technical-scientific knowledge and personal skills. Conclusion: the results show that the University of São Paulo has been preparing nurses for work in the labor market, in accordance with the provisions of the National Curricular Guidelines.

Venous thromboembolism is a serious but potentially preventable condition. However, morbidity and mortality occur due to lack of thrombo-prophylaxis. Obstetrics and gynecology patients are at risk for developing venous thromboembolism. To improve adherence to thromboprophylaxis in this patient population, we developed a smart phone clinical decision support system designed to assess risk score and recommend thromboprophylaxis. Clinical data were collected by review of electronic medical charts. The risk score and thromboprophylaxis recommendations were calculated for each patient by clinical decision support system and by an expert hematologist and results were compared for correlation. We hypothesize that the system is a valid tool for risk assessment in obstetrics and gynecology patients. A total of 188 female patients admitted at King Abdulaziz University Hospital between December 2015 and March 2016 were included. One hundred and sixteen were gynecology, and 72 were obstetric patients with a mean age of 40.7 (± 12.8). The risk score obtained by the system showed a strong correlation with that of the expert hematologist’s opinion (r = 83%). The clinical decision support system showed a good correlation for thromboprophylaxis decision as well. Accessibility and ease of use of clinical decision support system can improve the clinical outcome of hospitalized patients.

Abstract: Scholarships are provided selectively according to the type of learning held. There are so many scholarships offered to students who are outstanding and poor, one of which is the scholarship provided by the University of Riau, named Bidikmisi scholarship. The evaluation process of prospective scholarship recipients is carried out by the committee directly and is still done manually. So that it allows the creation of a support system for the decision to accept Bidikmisi scholarships using the smart web-based method. The system created, designed using UML diagrams, the system has made using the PHP programming language and database. The resulting system can process  using ten experimental data obtained a sequence of values from highest to smallest, with the highest amount of 0.75.            Keywords: Bidikmisi; Decision Support System; Scholarship; Smart Method.
